I purchased a brand-new electric coil range from The Competition about one month ago. For a price…read morethey delivered the range. The oven drawer would not work right, and it was crooked. I called them and they said they would not send someone out just to fix the drawer. I had to wait until they were in my area again. About two weeks later, after I called again, they sent one of their maintenance people out. The drawer was out of the track, which he did put back into place. My husband talked to him about the toxic fumes that came from the self-cleaning oven. While I was baking some pies, some of the filling spilled on the bottom of the oven. I tried using the self-cleaning feature and the fumes were so bad, I had to stop the cleaning process, open my doors, and turn on fans in the middle of winter. The maintenance guy said it was just some oils that were in the oven that came from the factory burning off. That was not what it was. It is fumes from the enamel on the oven. Not long after that, I called The Competition to let them know my burners kept turning off. She said it was a safety feature and I needed to buy aftermarket burners. I told her they turned off and did not come back on. Again, she said it was a safety feature and she would sell me aftermarket burners. I asked her why she did not let me know about the burners before I brought the stove. She wanted to sell us a glass top and we told her we did not want one because the heat dropped off and you could not Can or cook well on them. Again, she said it was a safety feature and to just buy aftermarket burners. I told her I would have kept my old stove if I would have known that. I told her I wanted someone to come check them. It has been a fight ever since. They finally gave us the number to the repair place and said the warranty probably would not cover it. We called the repair place. They said the stove was under warranty and they would bill GE. Since our range is under warranty, the repair place needed the purchase date. She said have The Competition fax it too them. The lady at the competition told my husband she did not have a fax or could not take a picture of the receipt. I call the repair place and they said the lady at the competition finally sent the proof of purchase to them. The repair company will be out on Monday to check my range. I have bought several big-ticket items from The Competition. The washer did not work correctly, and I continuously had a repair man out for a while. He finally got it working correctly, most of time. This range is a nightmare. I will never buy anything from them again. Their service has gone completely gone down the toilet, their rude and do not care about the costumer. All they care about is making money.

Manager Dave told me same thing but he would call the manufacture and see what they say. Told Dave would take new unit, but now he refuses to do this. He refused to keep the one time used broken whacker. Felt the older return woman with all of her pins on her vest was not friendly and had to keep giving her my name about 10 times. Her and Dave kept asking me who said I could return the whacker and told them it was a young girl that was working returns like I would have remembered her name. Very Very poor business tactics and customer relations from this store and HOME DEPOT.

I did myself a solid favor and called them to ask if I could take them about 4 loads worth and they said come on over! I didn't drop off until around 11am and it was ready by 6! All of it! All of it was cleaned and folded for around $150! This WAS so worth it to me! I wasn't in the mood, the headspace, or had the patience to tackle all of this after hiking in deep woods in the wet and cold. I just wanted help and I was willing to pay for it! The team there were all so wonderful and friendly! They offered help to unload and load back up and were just great! We had trouble receiving the order in the designated time ; delays and excuses during the whole process. Given the first experience, we decided to try another purchase. This time we bought 4 counter stools and some wall art. At the time of purchase we were told the art was in stock and should be a couple weeks for delivery. The stools were going to be ordered and should be 4 to 6 weeks. Two weeks passed and I hadn't heard from anyone about my delivery. I called and went through an automated phone system HELL. Then when I was FINALLY able to speak with an agent (real person) I had quite a bit of difficulty understanding AND being understood. My order, which was placed in mid July wasn't going to be delivered until the 16th of September (wall art, which was supposed to be in stock) the stools were still on back order. I tried calling the store to no avail (got the same automated horror system I had previously experienced) We went to the store and dealt with the manager Mike (he gave us a card with his contact info) We had previously worked with him on our very first order debacle and here we go for round 2!!! He checked the order and confirmed what we were told. Wait a tad bit and we get a text to schedule delivery. It's for the wall art. WHERE ARE MY STOOLS?????????? I went through another automated phone hell to speak to someone I was unable to understand nor do I think he understood what I was trying to say. The gist was that I was going to get my money back because they didn't know when or if they were going to get my stools in. After about a week I didn't see a refund on my credit card statement so I called the manager, Mike. I didn't get a response from him so a couple days later I went back to the store to see him, AGAIN. I've gotten my refund for the stools, l'm still waiting for my wall art and I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, FRUSTRATED AND JUST PLAIN ANGRY at the experiences we have had shopping at ASHLEY's. I have made purchases at RC WILLEY, De Meyer's and CHF; at no time was there a problem with any of those orders. The experiences with Ashley's has not only cost me time, it's tried my patience and understanding. I have lost precious TIME waiting for numerous items to arrive late or in the last case, not at all! If I could give you a rating of 0, I would. I've never made it a habit of paying our hard earned money and kissing anyone's anatomy! And that's the way I feel about my experience with Ashley's!

The other 2 involved special order furniture and both times the delivery time was longer than expected or promised. On April 4th we ordered a bedroom set that we were told would take 8-12 weeks. On July 7th we were told it was on the truck enroute from Pennsylvania. On July 28 we were promised delivery no later than the 2nd of August as the truck was due on 7-31 or 8-1. Matt promised that it would be delivered Friday or Saturday depending on what day it arrived. The freight wasn't delivered to People's until Saturday morning. By the time delivery is finally made it will have been 18 weeks from purchase to delivery. After calming down I realized that the problem didn't lie with People's primarily. The reached out and explained the situation and satisfied me that they did their best but the delivery from manufacture to them was out of their control.

After looking into it further (including confirming Oregon law), I learned that real psilocybin mushrooms cannot legally be sold retail in Oregon, and the product label itself does not list psilocybin or any mushroom species. I returned to the store and requested a refund, explaining that I purchased the product based on incorrect information. The refund was refused. I also reached out to management and never received a response. This product was $35. I'm disappointed, not because of the product itself, but because it was sold to me under inaccurate information and the store would not make it right.
