She was extremely knowledgeable, super friendly, and her customer service skills were amazing! It was a very pleasant surprise considering the negative experiences we've had over the last year. Purchase a walk behind weed whacker. First time using air cleaner fell off and the weeds will wrap around shaft and stops motor. We live 200 miles round trip from store. I was told by the store I could return within 90 days and it has 2 year warranty. Took back to store after a 6 weeks after driving 100 miles. Older women at return desk said can't return gas products after 30 days, but can return electric. She offered to give me a new unit that I couldn't return. Requested to speak with manager. Manager Dave told me same thing but he would call the manufacture and see what they say. Told Dave would take new unit, but now he refuses to do this. He refused to keep the one time used broken whacker. Felt the older return woman with all of her pins on her vest was not friendly and had to keep giving her my name about 10 times. Her and Dave kept asking me who said I could return the whacker and told them it was a young girl that was working returns like I would have remembered her name. Very Very poor business tactics and customer relations from this store and HOME DEPOT. read more

The best hone Droit experience for me so far! I called in advance to see if the AC unit I wanted was in stock. My central air went out and in the middle of A heat wave there's a two week wait for repair. I decided to get a small window unit just so I could have one cool room while I wait. (Cheaper than a hotel room for two weeks!). I got someone in the correct department on the first try with only a very short wait. When I got there there was a stack of new units only a short distance from the door. Thank goodness since I'm still waiting for spine surgery and every step hurts. There was someone right there to help me get the box on the cart. Very short wait at check out. Someone to take it out to the car for me. I am so grateful to have an extra little bit of help while I'm waiting to hopefully get my back fixed. Really Made my day. I had to drive further because other stores were out of stock but it was worth it since I saved well more than the price of gas for not having to pay sales tax. It was almost a surrealistic experience to have the total at the register match the price of the item! read more

DO NOT Purchase an appliance from this store!!! I purchased a Samsung BeSpoke refrigerator for 3k from the store, first attempt of delivery showed up damaged, 2nd attempt they called me on delivery day telling me the 2nd one also showed up damaged. I called to see what we could do to prevent this from happening a third time and a manager suggested we cancel our order and they will call us back and re order it over the phone and the vender will deliver it directly to our home. they called us back and told us we had to come in or do the order online, not what was agreed, at this point we told them dont bother and moved on, two month and never got a refrigerator without a huge dent on it... read more

They refused to accept American cash. Stating "our computers are broken so we can't take cash but we can take cards." The fact that this company decided to lie straight to their customers faces and didn't think it important to mention this fact as people come in. It is illegal to refuse cash for a service. Every time I go into Home Depot in Ontario I am never dissatisfied! EXCELLENT customer service. I went in a couple weeks ago and Mic and Bob from garden helped me instantly. Mic went out of his way to find packaged flowers for me and loaded 7 bags of gardening soil for me. Last week I went in and needed a tape measurer for another customer and a young man lent me his immediately and was very polite with a big smile on his face. I believe his name was Jonathan? I have been in many times and everyone always has a smile on their face and ready to help in any way. It's hard to find great customer service these days and that it very important to me and that is why I continue to go back. You shold be proud of your employees. read more

I ordered carpet from Home Depot. It was 2 weeks for installation, which gave me time to pack all the knick knacks, empty all dressers and closets, move everything we were responsible for. A three man crew came and and began the work. All my furniture was piled in the kitchen, where I waited for the carpet to be installed. After working for 4 hours, one of the workers said "we have a problem". The carpet is defective. We are going to have to talk to our Supervisor at Romanoff Renovations. They would have someone get back to me. After they left, is when we noticed the carpet was soaked with water. Never did anyone on the crew say the carpet was wet. I used a few towells to soak up as much water as possible. How could they have layed this carpet and not notice the water? I called Home Depot right away. They contacted Romanoff Renovations and let them know. The Supervisor called me, and we both agreed there was no way they layed that carpet without knowing it was soaked. They were going to make me a "top priority" to replace the carpet. Meanwhile, Home Depot manager brought me 2 industrial fans to dry the carpet. He also said he would order the carpet and expedite it as fast as possible, "top priority". So much for the "top priority", it took a month to get an installation date. My son had to miss another day of work to move the furniture items that the Home Depot is not responsible for. It got worse...the day arrived and one guy showed up at 8 AM. He immediately started tearing up the carpet. I said "Where is your help?" He said "they coming". After doing as much as he could by himself with moving the furniture they are responsible for, my son had to help him move the rest of the furniture. The beds, dressers and couches. I was getting really upset. Four hours had gone by, and no one else showed up. I called Romanoff, and they said the worker that was here was capable of doing this job on his own. I said I cannot communicate with him, he does not speak English. She said download an app that will change English to Spanish. I told her he could not move all the furniture by himself. She said we were responsible for moving the furniture. I asked her why only one man showed up when there were three last time? She was very rude and said "what do you want me to do? Reschedule? I said absolutely not. I will not move all of this in and out for a 3rd time. I expected a crew to be here, like the last time. End of call. It took 10 hours for their worker to complete the job by himself. When 6 PM came around, we told him we would clean up and vaccuum. I am 75 years old and I really needed to sit in my recliner and put my feet up. I had contacted corporate and said I would like my money back, for all the inconvenience, living out of boxes for a month, my son missing an extra day of work for something that was absolutely not my fault. They told me that the manager at the Home Depot was the only one that could authorize my money back. I contacted him and said I would like my money back. He said I will get back to you. He never did. Home Depot (Upland, CA) today reminded me why I have been only shopping at Lowes since the 90's. Their installation of our fridge was poor, so I called Home Depot about it. They decided to pass the responsibility to Samsung and noted that Samsung may charge me for the service call. The issue was installation, not parts. read more

This good review is only for Katie. My dad and brother were just at home depot; my brother saw an ad that had a price for a paint sprayer with and online/in store purchase price, so they went to the store to purchase it. When they got to the cashier, they said the price was $24 higher, my brother explained he saw the price online for less....they argued with him, the manager never even bothered to come down to address this issue, but then, by brother found Katie and she spent 15 minutes addressing and fixing the issue. The quick response, and his willingness to do what ever it took to make sure I was happy and the issue resolved is impressive. I will say at no time were any of the employees I dealt with were rude. Excellent customer service, we bought a BBQ and while setting it up on our deck, a wind gust blew it head over heels down the stairs into the gravel. We hadn't even had it an hour and it was terribly dented and scratched! Even though we knew it was not the store's responsibility, my husband decided to call and just see if there was anything they could do for us. We got a call back from the manager and they agreed to give us a new BBQ! Obviously we were elated (I didn't think they would do anything for us)! But they definitely got some loyal customers out of that deal! read more

I have always shopped at Home Depot and as a Veteran enjoyed the 10% discount on all but deep discounted items. I was happy to find a Home Depot in the area near my new home. I was shocked when after purchasing almost $200 on electrical, lumber and plumbing items, my veterans discount was only $2, when I questioned them on the amount of the Vet discount, they informed me that most of the items I purchased were not eligible for the Veterans discount. I purchased similar items at other Home Depot stores and always got the full 10% discount. They stated this has been their policy and basically told me to go pound sand. I felt so disrespected by their employees. I will never shop at this Home Depot again, I will shop at Lowes where they always give me a 10% discount on everything. read more

I haven't always been a big Home Depot fan, but my recent experiences over the last 6 months have changed that! I am extremely happy with the knowledgeable & helpful associates in this store. There has always been someone available in every department & they know their product. Their advice has been a huge help to this novice! I've made several large purchases in the recent months & every experience has been great! Calling on the phone, on the other hand, not so much. Long wait to speak to someone, but again, very helpful. I honestly believe that HD needs to remove the "I put customers first" from their aprons. There is NEVER enough employees and when you do find one they are busy with another customer and you have to stand there on top of them in order to get help next or someone else will! If you ask for help you end up standing in the isle waiting and waiting and waiting.....I think you get the point. Of COURSE I get that they cannot hire a person for each customer but it could absolutely be better than it is. When you are "looking" for help it seems that the employees cannot find your eyes. They rush past you as if they are HOPING that you won't talk to them. How in the world is this good customer service and putting the customer first? I like HD and the idea behind it but....I would really like to be treated better in the ONTARIO, OREGON store. As far as the prices and value go, HD is competitive and hold their own. They have a terrific selection of goods and even more online. I like HD, I just don't the way the employees behave. NOT ALL OF THEM. read more
