A sizeable semi-private room exists right off the main entrance. Be sure to check it out, its eclectically amazing. Food & Drink // Coffee is very good and full bodied. I had the yogurt parfait with granola & fruit. It was so good and plentiful I forgot to take a photo of it. They have a bakery as well (see video) all made by the owner & her mother. Family owned & run business. Very friendly staff with authentically good people. Environment is open and airy while maintaining a victorian aire about it. Definitely worth a stop in. read more

We tried Eleanor's for the first time and we loved it! First off, the inside of this coffee shop was super charming and had plenty of booth seating. The coffee shop is in the old 1912 Palmetto State Bank building and you could tell! It was super cute. The people behind the counter were super nice and even brought our drinks to us when they were ready. We ordered the salty maple latte and it was amazing! It was both sweet and it was actually salty. We loved it. The coffee itself was amazing as well - very smooth. After some research, we figured out that Eleanor's gets their coffee from Banyan Coffee, which is a local Palmetto family that roasts coffee beans locally!!! read more

Couldn't put my finger on why this wasn't a five star experience until reading some other reviews validated a feeling that Eleanor's doesn't quite feel like a well oiled cafe. It's a gorgeous building. Beautifully decorated. So big and could use some more seating options. Lots of wasted real estate at the entrance. I came on a late Saturday morning and the pastry glass case further in by the register was completely empty. The menus were contradictory with some having items scratched off to match the larger one on display. Service was fine if not confusing. I was browsing the pastries/menu when a staff member took my order on one end before having me go to the register at the far end to finish paying. When they asked a name for the order and I said "TV - like television" she busted out laughing which was a little off putting. Their guest wifi is good, but not many outlets to use if you're bringing a laptop to wfh. The vanilla iced latte I got was very good! read more

A friend of mine who had never visited Eleanor's before was asked to leave and banned from future visits because staff erroneously identified him as someone who had visited previously and caused drama. This gentleman is about as mild-mannered as they come, but they were uninterested in anything he had to say, even though he remained calm throughout the encounter. They were wrong, but they called the police and banned him anyway. I will NOT be going there ever again. Talk about terrible customer service! read more

Hello beautiful!!! This is definitely one of the cutest cafes in Palmetto! This old bank has been transformed into your local coffee shop and bakery. Just as cute is the owner who named the place after her nickname(although everyone in our party voted that it was probably her grandmothers name before getting the scoop directly from her). There isn't a whole lot on the menu BUT it lends way to perfect what they do offer! If you're not there early you will miss their well loved cinnamon rolls. I ordered avacado toast which is my go to so I've had pretty much every way you can think but this honestly was the best I've ever had; simply perfect. There is also little gifts you can buy from candles to aprons. The service makes you feel like you've known them forever and there could be a possible connection because it's got all small time feels. I mentioned that it would be the perfect speak easy at night. A quaint and eclectic spot for gatherings and focusing on work for the day. The espresso beans are absolutely surreal and delicious, probably some of the best I've tasted in my life! The syrups and pastries are all homemade and incredibly tasty! The staff is friendly and pleasant. Eleanor's is a very cute little coffee place with a vintage-y vibe inside. The staff were very friendly and offered us good suggestions about what to get. I ordered a regular iced latte, which I enjoyed, and the rest of my party liked the specialty maple latte. My cinnamon bun was very good, as was the avocado toast. Sadly, I drove 30 minutes away after reading the reviews in hopes to find a true bakery, when I arrived there was only a small selection of brownies and cookies. I've been meaning to write a review for this coffee cafe for some time now. First, I was there with my girlfriend on Nov 14, and my daughter was there just today. What my daughter had said, along with her complaint,s was the same as what I had a month ago, so things have not really changed. Number one, this shop has A LOT of potential, but if they don't fix it, there are other places to go to instead of Eleanor's. The only thing that sets it apart from going to the Tenth Street Coffee shop in Palmetto is that it was a bank and offers a lot of old-world charm. As for the food and its prices, it was okay. Soup is served in a small paper bowl. Definitely not worth $7. As far as customer service, there is almost NONE. We were never given utensils, so we had to get up from our table and get them. We were also not given our one slice of bread, and again, we had to get up from the table and request it, which we had to wait for. The coffee was good, but then again, I never had a bad latte or food at Tenth Street Coffee. The one thing that bothered my friend, my daughter, and me is that the place is huge, but there is no direction or welcome that came from behind the counter. They want you to figure it out all on your own. What they need is a welcoming sign with an arrow to direct patrons to the counter. Also, my daughter said she didn't know the coffee shop closed at 2 pm. She went there for coffee, and all of a sudden, there was no staff to be seen. I give this place a year to survive, if even that. They need more than a bank as a gimmick. They need customer service. read more
