I could go on and on about our experience with DJ Brandon and Complete Wedding & Events. We booked…read morewith them early because our venue raved about them and we are so happy we did! DJ Brandon called us a week before our wedding, we had all ready built a rough draft of our playlist we wanted, but DJ Brandon went above and beyond for us. He had built us playlists for each section of our wedding and then confirmed with us that we liked all of the songs, allowed us to make last minute changes, and was more than helpful throughout the process. We had a family member as our officiant, who had never officiated a wedding before, and DJ Brandon was able to easily go over the microphone with her, what to do, and made the ceremony go so smoothly. He was more than easy to communicate with, easy to work with, and our family and friends raved about him after the wedding. We could not be more grateful that we worked with him for our wedding!

I was in a wedding over the weekend. Quite a few times someone went to speak, including myself,…read moreduring the ceremony, the microphone would cut out. I am fairly certain that there is video footage of that. The DJ incorrectly announced the bride and groom, then to my face blamed the coordinator, K****** (not disclosing her name as some one else was blamed after that. When I requested that we start the cake as guests were leaving. He said that the bride and groom were having an intense discussion. What he failed to mention is that his company upset the newlyweds requesting money on the spot while also expecting them to participate in the dance, ignoring the cake request. I would certainly tread with caution if you choose to use this company. Request a veteran DJ and interview the staff running your event. Especially after seeing the response from the owner. That is not professionalism. Especially when there was admittance of error on the DJ's part. I did not deal with the videographer. But I do know that he made the couple upset on top of the other imperfections. Have your coordinator ensure all equipment is working properly and make sure you're scheduled events are in proper order with them. Also make sure to provide a script for announcements. This would mitigate confusion. I would like to note, some are under the impression that my reviews are being deleted. Some are under the impression that due to the owner's response on another page, my review was disregarded as I was not the bride. However, as stated, I was IN the wedding. I spoke during the ceremony, their videographer has me recorded in purple trying to say a poem, however the mic/speakers were not working. This was real. No apologies were given. No attempt to restore the hurt. Own up to you/your companies actions. The bride and groom asked not to coordinate their own wedding. I stepped in to intervene on their behalf, with permission, once this company announced the bride and groom's last name incorrectly. This was done after a meeting to correctly introduce the newlyweds prior to the wedding. I am asking that you make it right. Stop trying to cover up the pain that your company caused.

@ Gail B.,…read more Prices for Dorian's services are priced fairly. Everyone's order goes through a very long process. I found this out when I asked if Dorian has a system. The list is very long and I am not going to type it out. I will say that everyone's order can easily go through 10 different departments, in order to process an order. Dorian's photographers also take special steps to insure that the pictures are crisp, and the quality is grand when printing. Your son's hair being "messed up" is not the photographer's fault. Dorian's photographers will watch for details, such as hair covering a part of the face that isn't supposed to be covered. I understand that your son was in the first grade, kids at that age are always playing, looking for new things to do. As far as facial expressions are concerned, Dorian's photographers can not control them. If they could. every photographer would be out of business. Some kids have certain facial expressions that may not be what a customer would want photographed. When kids (especially young ones) are having their picture taken you would be amazed at what kids will do. Some kids will see the camera and never stop smiling, giving this big chees-y smile. Yes, the photographer do have ways to try to teach the kids to give a relaxed more graceful smile but, some kids don't quit understand, especially and young ages. It also maybe impossible for the child to smile a certain way because of facial muscles. I seen a girl that twitched, it was in all her photos and even though the photographer did several things to reduce the twitch, the twitch did not want to leave. Each Dorian photographer can shoot many pictures ranging in the the hundreds. This being said photographers are not hair stylists although they will do their best, but sometimes if a kid arrives unprepared, there is nothing they can do. I suggest that since your son did not have his picture taken until two hours after arrival to school; that his teacher or any adult present monitor his hair and prevent wardrobe malfunctions, if asked nicely. This concerns anyone who did not like their child's picture. Retake day is available to anyone whether they have had their picture or not. Return your old pictures, they need a code off of them, and they will gladly retake them. They will if the child is old enough ask "what did your mother and or father not like about these pictures". If they are not old enough, the photographer will look at the picture and make judgement calls themselves. There was no reason to fuss, I could understand why a person would, but it is important to remember that they are human. Yes they can not always make a picture look perfect due to uncontrollable variables, but they do their best. To address the collection issue I would like to say that Dorian is not a gossip studio. The only people that are aware of balances are accounting, not the photographers, they are not aware of whether you have paid or not, this is why. Dorian's photo lab will not print picture day and retake day's pictures until they have been paid for. Why tell the photographer something that he isn't going to process in the future? Since Dorian had sent you pictures from picture day, that means they have received the payment. Dorian could have accidentally made a mistake, they try not to, but sometimes they do occur. To fix this all you would have to do is ask a Dorian employee to call the bookkeeper or leave a message with the studio manager or customer service. They would probably be mortified to hear that this problem happened. They take some of the most amazing photos, look at their gallery in the foyer. Look at their senior pictures. Stunning, absolutely well done. They communicate, no one is perfect, Ansel Adams I'm sure left the lens cap on once or twice. I am pretty sure Annie Oakley missed a target or two. I am fairly certain that Charles Dickens destroyed some rough drafts. Point is people make mistakes. "...But if you are interested in a job where you don't even have to try..." is not true at all. salaried employees that work for Dorian pretty much work Monday Through Saturday sometimes Sunday, and when they are only needed for 8 hours a day, they consider that a break. Employees that are not salaried employees work more than 8 hours a day to say the very least. Dorian photographers even though they work hard, they love their job because they know they have done a good job, and work with a family that has been running photography for 98 years. They did change some phone numbers. All the schools that work with Dorian have them, or they can be seen at Dorian's website. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I know Dorian, and I believe that they are a wonderful photography company.
