    No Static was recommended by Angie's and got back to me immediately. I needed new under cabinet…read morelighting in the kitchen. I was basically replacing what I had which was old-fashioned halogen with low watt, low heat LED panel lighting. No Static's quote was the best I received from 3 places I contacted and it had high ratings from Angies and the BBB. I asked the contractor to purchase the lighting, which he did but there was a snag in the installation; two of the 5 panels didn't work. He had to stop the work and he decided to buy another brand although he clearly had faith in the original brand he bought. This meant he had to reschedule the completion of the work for another day one week later. He followed up with me, kept in touch as to when new materials would arrive, and came back when he said he would. He uninstalled what was already in and put in all new lighting which worked just fine. Although the job was delayed because of materials, it was a short time and certainly worse for him than for me. He lost a day's work and had to restart. Bottom line, the price was fair, he kept in touch with me throughout and there were no added costs to me in spite of the trouble, except for the addition of dimmer switches which were my choice. I was very satisfied with No Static.

They worked in extreme heat with no air conditioning because the electricity was out, and even worked in the dark using the minimal lighting they brought with them. They upgraded our old fuse panel to a modern breaker panel, completed the work professionally, and cleaned up everything before they left. One of the things I appreciated most was seeing him work alongside his son. It's wonderful to see a family business passing down knowledge and building a legacy while providing excellent service. Their professionalism, work ethic, and attention to detail were exceptional. We were so impressed that they'll be returning to replace the disconnect box for our commercial HVAC unit. If you're looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and dependable electrician, I highly recommend No Static Electricity. We love them and truly appreciate the excellent service they provided!

I called customer service to confirm exactly what the…read more"FREE QUOTE" included and was told the electrician would go up on a ladder to inspect the ceiling fan and electrical components and provide a written repair quote. Once the electrician gained entry to my home, no inspection was performed, and the visit was instead converted into an attempted upsell to a paid diagnostic. This conduct reflects a classic bait-and-switch. The "FREE QUOTE" was used to induce the appointment. This conduct implicates multiple consumer-protection violations as outlined below, including heightened concerns where deceptive in-home solicitations affect senior customers: - Bait-and-switch -- promising a "FREE QUOTE" to induce an appointment, then substituting a paid diagnostic once access to the home was obtained, in violation of 815 ILCS 505/2B and FTC Act §5 (15 U.S.C. §45). - Deceptive and unfair business practices -- materially misrepresenting what the "FREE QUOTE" included and failing to provide the promised inspection and written estimate, in violation of 815 ILCS 505/2 and FTC Act §5. - Material misrepresentation -- the scope of the "FREE QUOTE" was a material term that influenced the decision to schedule the appointment and allow entry into the home, actionable under 815 ILCS 505/2. - Deceptive inducement and reliance-based harm -- the misrepresentation caused reliance before any payment occurred, which constitutes legally cognizable harm under 815 ILCS 505/2 and federal unfair-and-deceptive-acts standards. I told them that's not what I needed and if that was the case, you could at least notify me that you weren't coming. Missed a half day of work for this? Never again.

Crest has been a Chicago staple and when I finally was…read moreready to upgrade my lighting again I went back to the place that had been tried and true for me years ago. But it seems that era has ended. I came in a hot mess, I have no design skills. I relied on the sales person to help me and I thought she was amazing. She was kind, patient and seemed to really get me and my condo style - benig "vintage" and wanting to modernize was beyond me. She was super helpful and made me feel like she knew exactly what I needed. That was until I left the showroom. I ordered two ceiling fans from her that day, it wasn't cheap. I also ordered one I'd found on my own online. I hired someone reputable to install them for me and I was all set. But then they left and within days the two I purchased from Crest (different manufacturers) were both on the fritz. Hard to believe for sure, but both manufacturers agreed this was a fluke and they both had inherent issues requiring replacement. And then I had to replace them, which meant I had to pay for the labor again. One of the fixtures is in a room I hadn't needed the fan for in the first year. But then I did, and it didn't work. At that same time I noticed the on/off switch wasn't working properly either. I called the manufacturer and they agreed it was a warranty claim and to call Crest to replace the wall switch. Not something I feel comfortable doing on my own. When I talked to Crest, they said they'd order me a part and well... they did but never called to tell me it had come in. I called on my own three weeks later and they said it was there waiting for me. I verified I could wait for the weekend to get it. Of course they are closed on Sundays so It had to be during the short Saturday hours. I raced to get there in the window only to find a lot of confusion. It wasn't waiting for me at all. The woman who said she'd call me was there and surprised I was asking questions. She said she hadn't heard back from the manufacturer to answer my question about paying for labor, and they all just threw their hands up and said they couldn't help me because the manager wasn't there. Let's just say it's the end of an era and I won't be back for business in the future. Good luck with your purchases after you leave the store.

We worked with Davis and he was super helpful and attentive. They have lights, fans, and other indoor and external fixtures and decorations. We will definitely come visit again.
