Because my home is less than 10 years old, the quote seemed unreasonable, so I obtained a second opinion from another licensed electrician. I was informed that the underground service conductor issue was the responsibility of Xcel Energy, not the homeowner. I contacted Xcel Energy directly, and they inspected the issue and completed the necessary work within two days at no cost to me. Based on these facts, I believe I was asked to pay more than $2,000 for work that either was unnecessary or was the responsibility of the utility company rather than the homeowner. In my opinion, this was a serious attempt to charge me for work that I did not need to pay for. I strongly recommend that anyone receiving a costly estimate for service entrance or meter-related electrical work obtain a second opinion and contact their utility company before authorizing repairs. The bid process took less than 20 minutes and the quote we were given was well within our budget. We anticipated the job would cost around $1500 to complete but we were given an estimate for $880. The following Monday work began at 7am and was complete by 10am. The lights looked exceptional and they were extremely thorough in their cleanup. They even went the extra mile to clean our ceiling fan and verify that our breakers were up to code. I would highly recommend Little Dave's based on their quality of work but the story gets better. Upon receiving our invoice, we were billed $450 rather than the $880 because the job took less time than anticipated. This was completely unexpected but very much appreciated. Now if we could only get auto shops to do the same! Bottom line, we were extremely happy with our experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality, experienced electrician.

He had great ideas for our outdoor lighting solution and did a nice job replacing our panel. About 16 months after services were performed, our outdoor photocell went bad.
