Another new Tesla Charging spot…read more Waze was directing me more towards the nearby Lowe's but this was right behind a Wawa on route 22. This is definitely new, when I was leaving Waze wanted me to do this ridiculous round about when there is a straight forward entrance back onto route 22. There also seems to be more commercial construction going on behind these chargers as well. As for the charging, the signs on the chargers indicate 15 mins parking only for some reason. I was only there for 15 but the guy next to me was definitely there longer. For now the rates are great but I'm sure over time the rates will be comparable to other stops over time. Overall this is a great pit stop with what looks like a new-ish Wawa nearby. I didn't have a need to go into the Wawa but it is convienent in case I need a restroom or snack break.

There were a few open chargers, I backed into the stall and left the car to suck up the zaps. I went to the Wawa, used the facilities (That means take a leak) bought a Coke and by the time I came back, the car was ready for my trip to the Jersey shore. Nice clean and well lit spot, I would recommend this charging station.

Be aware that one of the four stations is always out of order, and you may need to wait. After you finally get to plug in, check out the mall. This pretty much means that it anytime you can shop here and there could be a Ford 150 parked and the electric vehicle charging lot because there's no green marking or anything on the ground indicating that it's an electric vehicle charger and of course that would need to be obvious for the residence of Darien! There's food shopping and other things available within walking distance so in that regard it's actually a really good charging station especially since it's a DC fast charger. Oh did I mention you could easily be in the parking lot and watch wild turkeys go by two so there's some nice wildlife as well.
