He would be involved, bring props, participate in leading the congo line, whatever we wanted! Well, I was tremendously disppointed and would never use them again. Let me share why I (the bride, groom, wedding planner and other attending the wedding) were dissatisfied at our wedding in 2014. 1) DJ was drinking (A family friend and the bride observed the DJ drinking) - how unprofessional is that (4 drinks - at minimum) and it was a strong alcoholic lemonade). 2) DJ did not play songs requested (I, Mother of the Groom and the Bride had to continuously go up to the DJ to remind him what we wanted, what songs, we wanted the conga line, etc). as GUESTS WERE LEAVING. It was NOT a fun wedding - despite the list of fun music I provided. DJ couldn't find songs in his box of cd's. Bride was very disappointed. 3) We were promised props - I had to go up and remind the DJ about them - he forgot all about them he said (because he looked a little "glassy eyed, perhaps)? 4) DJ was not interactive - with the crowd - as he promised. Instead, he was like a shy, puppy dog in the corner. WE had to constantly ask for everything that we had previously given him a list to do. 5) Mother of the Bride MISSED completely the Bridal Dance and the Grooms Dance (which were a flop as the DJ did not encourage people to go up, dance and have fun). I had to be checking my list and asking the DJ to do just about everything. The stress added to me was tremendous and certainly unprofessional and unacceptable. What a disappointment this service was. This was my one and only son, and the music/dj were a "not was was promised at all". Guests, friends and family commented and were disappointed as well. I asked for a phone call, email or something to discuss this, like grown adults.. The DJ hung up on me when I did reach him. If he had some terrible life event, that caused this mayhem, I could have understood. But no response whatsoever, pushed me to share this review. Goodluck and my advice, find another DJ service.

TriState Event Planning Services owner/planner sent a PayPal link with the invoice of the remaining…read morebalance, I made the payment per the amount in PayPal but paid her twice by accident giving her a tip nearly $1000. I immediately noticed her of the mistake she agreed to reverse the funds. However, a revised invoice was submitted to me 2 days later after I left multiple messages via email, voicemail and text stating additional cost have been added and she is only returning partial funds. I stated to her that isn't how business is conducted and she doesn't decide how the customer money should be distributed without the customer's permission. Prior to doing anything that supersedes the set budget a company reached out to the customer and in this case she didn't; the additional cost was unclear. I asked the the owner to contact me to go over the revised contract in detail and waited for her call, she text and threaten legal action if I pursue anything. The initial contact was a estimate of cost with the understanding my set budget. I had no issues paying the PayPal amount, my issue is she decided to keep the overage and incorporated additional cost. There was over 300 balloons ordered but only 5 or 6 inflated, the food was burnt, I handled the events except for 1 by myself but she billed for additional hours. In the end she should have reversed the overage as agreed and we could have negotiated a price difference. Poor business practices erases the integrity of a business. She posted pictures from my daughter's party as though we were happy with her company's services. Wow!

When we were preparing for the wedding, he was very careful to make sure he knew what we did and did not want to have at the wedding (specific music, games, etc.). He picked us up a few drinks throughout the evening since we were busy with our guests. He did a great job of judging the dance floor and playing music to keep the party going. We were planning our wedding during the pandemic and things were constantly uncertain as to whether or not the wedding would be able go to on. Iman and DJ Kia had routine calls with us to check-in and offer advice. We knew we could trust their opinions and flexility during the uncertain times. On the day of the wedding, DJ Kia was so involved with every aspect of the ceremony and reception. He knew exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to make our wedding day an unforgettable experience. He literally orchestrated our ceremony processional and was making sure everything was running smoothly. Everyone felt at ease walking down the aisle because DJ Kia was there to send them off. We were lucky enough to have Iman MC our wedding, and believe us when we tell you he knows how to put on a show. The dance floor comes alive with Iman on stage and everyone was out of their seats and dancing the entire night. Our cocktail hour ended up going over schedule, which pushed back our reception. It was no worry though, because Iman was there to quickly restructure the timeline and ensure everything ran smoothly. We also used Night Owls for our video production and working with them was a truly pleasant experience. They captured every aspect of the wedding beautifully. In just a few short weeks, we had our trailer and wedding video created, both of which were edited to our liking. They were extremely patient with us throughout the process and the end result is videos we still can't stop watching! Thank you to Brandon and the team at Night Owls for all of their hard work.
