I am on my second Frigidaire Professional Microwave (over the stove) I purchased as part of a full kitchen set in 2019. The first one broke after a year of use; I had to go through all kinds of hoops but was able to get my appliance dealer to give me a replacement microwave which I had to install. I paid the $100 to get a 5-year warranty through Frigidaire which I thought would protect my purchase. I could not have been more wrong. The second microwave, after a year of use, has turned out to be an even bigger nightmare when it stopped working. It took 5 phone calls to Frigidaire and 3 weeks to get one of their contracted service companies A &E to get them to my house; from there what followed were multiple return visits and parts replacements over the course of another month--to the point where the service technician finally said the microwave needed to be replaced. That replacement should have been the final solution; it was not. When calling Frigidaire customer service, I have received an endless runaround saying that the microwave can still be repaired--but because A & E can't fix it, they need to find another service company and will contact me in the next 3 - 5 business days to get something scheduled! At this point I have no idea when our microwave is going to actually get fixed, and Frigidaire's customer service has been completely unhelpful and even tried to give me a bunch of semantics on what constitutes a "service visit" to somehow make me feel better?! Bottom line, we have had a large open space above our stove for 2+ months with no end in sight to getting this appliance repaired. Frigidaire just passes it off on their warranty company while not realizing that a) they have already spent several times the cost of the microwave and b) the consumer is left holding the bag. We are using our daughter's $50 tabletop microwave from college which has proven far more reliable than Frigidaire's product and their abominable customer service. I will never buy another Frigidaire product/warranty again. read more

Their service repair contract -- Purchased a repair contract and then needed some repair work done on my dryer-- Took about tow hours to make any telephone contact and then its a middle person who makes promises then changes the date and time-- still no repair or contact with who they use locally. Electolux / Frigidaire Sucks We bought an expensive Gallery cooktop / oven unit and the main front panel controller has failed and had to be replaced twice. The companies customer service is even worse. This has been a very expensive repair and when I asked that I split the cost of a $150 extended warranty for three years to provide some customer service they declined. I fail to get the logic and explained this was an inexpensive way to protect their brand with my family, they said forget it. We will NEVER BUY FRIGIDAIRE BRAND AGAIN. I dislike writing negative reviews, but this one I feel is necessary to help protect my fellow Yelpers! Do not buy the Frigidaire French Door refrigerator model FGHB2866PF Electrolux is the parent company of Frigidaire. My complaint is with the Frigidaire French Door refrigerator model FGHB2866PF. The unit has a design flaw with the ice maker. I've owned the refrigerator for about 9 months and the ice maker has broken 3 times and had 2 repair attempts. The fan in the ice maker is not properly insulated from the rest of the refrigerator so moisture condenses on the fan in the icemaker which then freezes preventing it from working properly. I'm trying to work with Frigidaire to have the unit replaced. They want to attempt to fix it again. The refrigerator comes with a 1 year warranty. The best I've been able to do is get Frigidaire to extend the warranty 3 months. My concern is that they will continually attempt to repair the unit until it goes out of warranty and then I have a broken refrigerator. A further dilemma is that they offer an extended warranty for a few hundred dollars. I feel cheated by this because from my perspective, they have a bad product with a design flaw that shouldn't require purchase of a warranty. They are asking me to purchase a warranty on a bad product so that they can continue to fail at fixing it. So if you purchase this unit expect the real operating cost to be $300 higher because of the extended warranty which only lasts 3 years. In contrast, my Kenmore has lasted through 3 moves and is 11 years old with no problems. I want to stress the severity of this. This is not an issue with my unit. This is an issue with the model. See the link to the Frigidaire site below where others have had the same problem. Just look for the 1 star review. Furthermore, when the repairman was out here last, his next stop was another customer with the same problem on the same model. No stars for this company. I purchased a Professional Gas Range in 2015, 3 years into it the oven went. Had to fight to get the ignitor/regulator fixed and then had to pay for a new thermostat only to have it go again 13 months later. They never did repair it the second time, waited two months and finally pulled it out and purchased a new range. Now that the AG's office is involved we are talking almost 7 months later, they want to repair it for us to sell at a lower rate. Not a bad deal except it is not hooked up anymore which means we have to lose three partial days of work to have a tank hooked up prior to a repair person coming to test for which parts they need and then to return and fix to see it will work. I'm sorry but to me that is a very round about way to do business if you want good reviews. I would also mention that we have found out if you buy a "Professional Range" the working components are no stronger or different than in their $400 ranges. Now isn't that comforting!! The refrigerator I purchased Model# FFTR1835VW0 / Serial # BA10408475 in February stopped working May 13, 2021. Since its under warranty I called Electrolux for repairs that same day and it took 10 days for them to send someone out and another week for the repair. Two days after the repair it stopped working again so I called, and someone came Jun 2nd. Unable to repair it he said he reported it to the office and that someone else would come out, but no one did. I called again terribly upset and the company sent another repair tech out, he told me there were several things wrong and he would return in a month to repair it. Finally, after weeks of getting the run around and finally reaching a manager and complaining because the latest parts needed are on back order until Aug 1st which means it would be two more months before the refrigerator would be repaired, they put in the request for a new fridge, and told me the new fridge would arrive on Jun 11th. When it did not come, I called and complained to Jennifer Brown a supervisor and she put in the order because clearly it was not done before although the rep told me it was, but that it would not arrive until Jul 2nd. The issue at hand is we are still without a refrigerator until 7/2 and have been without a working fridge since May 13th. My one- & 13-year-old are without the essential things we put in the fridge for a healthy meal, a cold drink. I have lost and still losing money, food, and time purchasing ice chest and minifridges, not to mention the stress of this. Just from Jun 11th the day in which I was supposed to receive the new refrigerator I have spent $927 for the food lost. They are supposed to be sending $100 towards a partial reimbursement of a minifridge but I had never received it. I emailed the CEO and President of Electrolux on Jun 11th and I have left messages on their corp. number voicemail to try and resolve this and still have not received a reply and still without a refrigerator. Reading these comments lets me know the reps behavior reflects that of management. This is unacceptable and my next steps are to file complaints with all the government agencies for consumer complaints and legal actions if needed. read more

ELECTROLUX Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator with Wave-Touch® Controls Model: EW23BC85KS I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE! I originally purchased the ELECTROLUX Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator with Wave-Touch Controls (Model: EW23BC85KS3) in 2011. Due to constant freezing of the waterline for in door water & ice dispenser, which renders the icemaker and water dispenser USELESS, ELECTROLUX replaced my original refrigerator with a like, newer model of the ELECTROLUX Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator with Wave-Touch Controls (Model: EW23BC85KS3), which was manufactured during June 2012. Even with a newer, supposedly improved ELECTROLUX refrigerator, I continued to have the same problem of the waterline freezing, which as stated, renders the water and ice dispenser USELESS. I even had to replace the plastic ice-maker tray and circuit board. The flimsy, plastic ice tray cracked, which allowed water to drip onto the electric circuit board, causing the circuit board to short out. I was without a refrigerator-freezer for more than a week. To add insult to injury, replacement of the circuit board and ice tray amounted to a cost of approximately $500.00 (MY COST)! I paid for what I thought was an upper-end refrigeration product... I later learned from reading in Consumer Report that this specific ELECTROLUX refrigerator is rated one of the WORST refrigerators on the market due to the in-door water-ice dispenser freezing problem. 14 days and 336 hours ago we alerted Frigidaire Corporate entity that we were sold a faulty AC. Temperature in my location is as high as 117 degrees outside, unknown inside. My pets, family and myself have had to relocate for survival. Although TaRica from Frigidaire said that the AC could be "replaced", it is still under "review". 2015 FRIGIDAIRE FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR BY ELECTROLUX My comments are: 1 - The vegetable and fruit settings in the bins actually work - as perishables stay longer and crisper. 2 - It is great (convenient / easy access) to have the width of the refrigerator on the top, with a pullout freezer drawer 3 - The outside stainless finish does not show fingerprints 4 - There is a constant humming, when my old refrigerator was operated silently. 5 - The water dispenser is has 2 design flaws. When pushing the water release with a cup, the edge of the cup is now 3 inches from the spout where the water comes out. This causes water to miss cups / water bottles with less than a 3 inch opening. Additionally, while standing in front of most refrigs, you can see the water spout. Unfortunately, you cannot see the spout on this refrig and once again, this second design flaw, causes water to spill down the front door if you have a small cup / water bottle. read more

I called about two weeks ago because my new Frigidaire oven and my new Frigidaire dishwasher both stopped working while I was out of town on a business trip. Last week when the repairman arrived, he fixed the oven and couldn't fix the dishwasher - the repairman told me the part needed to be ordered and it would arrive at my home on Thursday 9/28 ...... When no part arrived, I called back on Monday 10/2. The person I spoke with said the part was on backorder until 12/22 - which is completely unacceptable - which they agreed and told me they were submitting for a new dishwasher,,,,, Today I received a call, which I returned - and was told we are scheduling a repairman to come look at your dishwasher - CARLIE - was the person I spoke to ...... she couldn't tell me what the person was coming to do, a repair or replacement, and for me just to have an adult at the residence to assist ....again unacceptable. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said one would call me within 2days! REALLY - you have a 2-day service level agreement to meet customer needs with a supervisor? In my world - that's also unacceptable. I called right back because I could tell CARLIE was not well trained, nor did she really understand customer service ...... The next person was helpful - also looked and said YES - part on backorder, and would submit for replacement ....... 13 minutes later I get a call back from someone saying a repairman would be there FRIDAY and I should have the part by then...... but they had no idea to know when the part was being delivered .... So I asked AGAIN for a supervisor and of course they could not connect me with one ......but assured me now the repairman would have my part and be there on Friday ...... I have absolutely NO CONFIDENCE I WILL HAVE MY DISHWASHER FIXED ON FRIDAY OCT 6th - I leave town again Sat Oct 7th through the following Thursday Oct 12th on business Your company has me completely frustrated, and certainly not in a position to EVER buy anything Frigidaire because your company is showing me they don't stand behind their products and your expectation of customer service is far below mine as a consumer. The freezer doesn't keep ice cream frozen, and when I called for service on my new refrigerator that is only a few months old, I was told they would send someone to check it, but they couldn't guarantee that the service call would be covered and I might have to pay for the service. So I didn't schedule service because I don't want to pay for it. So I have a brand new refrigerator, and the refrigerator works, but the freezer does not, and apparently, the warranty on my new appliance is worthless. Don't buy Frigidaire. read more

It took 7 visits from the Electrolux Authorized Repair Company before my dryer was finally fixed. A dryer that was barely over 1 year old and cost over $1300.00! The only help I ever got from Customer service was, "We apologize for your inconvenience." Well, I appreciate the apology, but that doesn't help me get my dryer up and running. They had absolutely no influence on their authorized repair center. Defective parts were sent, wrong parts were sent. Because of the repair problems with their products in general - especially with my particular model number and the E64 error code, I involved the Better Business Bureau in an attempt to get the dryer replaced. Even the repair company said, "This particular error accounts for the majority of the repairs we make to the Electrolux dryers and you'll probably have to have us back out again in the not too distant future." However, even with those statements quoted, numerous internet blog sites stating the same information and troubled repair history, the BBB was powerless to get Electrolux to do anything more than state, "We're sorry for the inconvenience." So, save yourself a lot of headache and expense (on an extended warranty - which you most definitely need with these appliances) and STAY AWAY FROM ELECTROLUX AND FRIGIDAIRE (they're the same company) appliances! Anybody decides to file a class action law suit - count me in! I want to see them held responsible for putting this kind of worthless junk out in the market place under the pretense of a "Luxury Brand." It is absolutely unacceptable that a manufacturer has apparently no accountability for producing junk. My next letter will be to the State Attorney General's office. Anybody else out there with a failed Electrolux appliance or customer service difficulties getting a repair - I encourage you to do the same. My French-Door Frigidaire FGHB2866PFGA refrigerator's ice-maker stopped working after 10 months. Repairman had to order and install a rear panel/gasket kit for insulation. It turns out that this is a common problem for this model fridge. And yet, the company keeps sending out these refrigerators as they are, without making the needed improvement, knowing full well that the ice-maker will ultimately fail. Also, on this model (with bottom freezer), the freezer bin cannot be removed for cleaning. Which means you can't wipe underneath the bin. Also, If anything falls underneath the bin (which can happen easily), it's very difficult to retrieve. Lastly, in order to clean the coils (recommended to extend life of fridge), one has to first open the bottom freezer door to be able to pry off the plastic piece that fits under freezer door. I love the look of the fridge, and the spaciousness inside. However, it has poor design elements that should be addressed before putting it out in the market. That the company has chosen not to do that does not speak well of it. read more

I am very annoyed at the service dept. at Electrolux They are all nice to you on the phone but don't get anything done.!!! Well let me start at the beginning .I have a Frigidaire Washer/dryer combo April 2016 I called for a repair on my washer/dryer unit I told them I heard squealing, they sent a man out he said there was nothing wrong with the machine. Ok Then I called September 1st, I told them my machine was smoking. So I couldn't get an appointment till sept 13th ok Another man came out opened the front of the unit. OH its the belt !!!! I have to order it !!! Well I was a little upset having to wait for an appointment for so long. Then I waited another week, I called the people who were suppose to get the part. .she said oh there was a problem Oh really...so you have to call Frigidaire back So I called and spoke to someone he found out that the man who came to my house did not want to come back cause it was too small a place to work in Boy people just don't have the courtesy to call you back. So then we are back to the beginning. This man said I will get some one to come out 2 weeks later with numerous call to Frigidaire and getting aggravated and no machine for 1 month Then send the same man who came the first time to change the belt. He leaves and I go to do a wash and the machine is SMOKING Call them back !!!again Finally they send a man from Tri City Appliance.... He looks at the machine He said there are at least 18 things wrong with it...He thinks It should be replaced !!! But he has to get authorization from Frigidaire You think with all their money they would give us a new machine we have paid for the warranty since 2007 when we got it. So I haven't had a machine since sept 1 not its October 14th I will never recommend Electrolux/ Frigidaire to anyone. I hope a lot of people read this....The man from Tri City Appliance in Milford really new what he was doing...they were really nice and I would go to them. read more
