Edited Review: Phil the service manager called to clarify issue and addressed it satisfactorily. On Feb. 20, 2026 I paid for a service call in which they KNEW the serial number of my model and what parts to bring. I paid for a repair kit in which the dryer kit had a dryer belt but it did NOT fit my dryer. The technician said he would return WITH the right belt at no additional charge. AFTER PAYING, they failed to return or return my calls. I would give them a NEGATIVE 10. They are totally unprofessional. read more

Like the other reviewers, I would give this company negative stars if it were an option. My home warranty company has assigned Atomic Tech to my work orders on two occasions. The first was in July 2024 for a failed dishwasher. The service repair efforts were so poor that the home warranty company refunded my service deductible, and the dishwasher was ultimately replaced by the warranty company after months -- literally months -- of waiting on Atomic Tech's ordering parts, waiting for parts, waiting to fit into the schedule after parts were received by the Augusta office (that's a two week window every time), only to find "that didn't work either." I did not have a working dishwasher from July to October 2024. OVER THREE MONTHS. The second was in November 2025 for a failed microwave. Atomic Tech was notified of the work order on 11/23, came to the house the first week of December and said the microwave needed a part ordered. After the part was received, they called to put me on the schedule. The earliest return was two weeks away on 12/17. On 12/17, the technician was stopped by the sub-division's guard gate who called to confirm I knew they were coming. The guard gate asked the tech to loop back through the line while they called me. I confirmed the appointment, but the guard gate told me while on the phone they were driving away. She could see them driving away. I called the tech's phone number which I had because he'd texted me for a gate pass on his prior visit. He did not pick up. I called the office immediately, asking they dispatch him back. They said he was already on his way to the next client and could not turn around. REMEMBER, this was all under four minutes' time. They rescheduled me for 12/31. On 12/31, a different tech came to the house, tried attempt #2 with parts, did not get the microwave to work and then removed the microwave and took it with him "back to the shop." This was literally the last time I saw or spoke to an Atomic Tech representative -- either technician or administrator or manager -- until 03/05 when the tech arrived to "drop off" my repaired microwave. FOR OVER TWO MONTHS, ATOMIC TECH NEVER COMMUNICATED WITH ME WHILE HAVING POSSESSION OF MY MICROWAVE. No updates, no scheduling, no anything. NOTHING from them. Atomic Tech ordered four rounds of parts and took over three months to provide a working appliance. They logged with my warranty company that they were scheduling appointments with me, but they NEVER contacted me after 12/17 to schedule an appointment. They never notified me when an appointment was logged. I discovered they had told my warranty company they had an appointment and a completed repair on 02/19 because my warranty company called to ask if I was satisfied with my working microwave. My response was, "What working microwave? I don't even have possession of my microwave." The warranty company was surprised to hear this and called Atomic Tech while I waited on hold. It was the warranty company that secured an actual installation appointment for me on 03/05 and updated their records to show this was an on-going problem. The warranty company refunded by deductible in recognition of the unacceptable experience that I was having with Atomic Tech. AGAIN, OVER THREE MONTHS, and I don't even know what my warranty company has had to pay them. Too much. Whatever it is, it's too much. My experience with this company has been unparalleled when measured by "how much less can we give a damn about customer service and satisfaction." They couldn't care less if they were further incentivized to try. Bottom barrel, rotten stuff here. Don't make yourself sick by working with them. read more

If I could give them negative stars I would. About the middle of April my washer stopped working correctly. It wouldn't spin out as much of the water as it should. I was told they couldn't come out until April 29th, but it was sooner than the date of May 2nd that Sears gave me, so I went with Atomic Tech. April 29th - Nate came out and told us it was the gear case. It had worn down over the years and wasn't catching correctly to spin the drum. He said everything else the motor, the drain pump, was fine. So with everything else being good and the cost of the gear case was cheaper than the cost of a new washer I went ahead with the repair. I had to wait a week for the part to come in, and another 2 weeks before they could come out again. You would think they would schedule you as soon as the part comes in, not another 2 weeks later. May 22nd - Nate came back out to replace the gear case. We ran it later that afternoon and there was a burning smell coming from the washer. It became more noticeable during the spin cycle. There was also a scraping sound coming from it during the spin cycle. I called and was told I'd have to wait another 8 days until May 30th before they could come back out and fix what was supposed to be done right the first time. May 30th - Nate came out again and looked at the washer. Apparently something wasn't set properly and was scraping up against the inside and heating up. That's what was causing the sound and the burning smell. He also told us that the balance ring now needed to be replaced but he had clamped it down and it should be fine. He never mentioned it before now. About a week or two later while running the washer it started leaking water on the floor when draining. So I had to call and again was told it would be another 2 weeks before they'd have someone in my area. June 26th - Don came out and looked at the washer. He found that not only was it leaking water but also oil. There was a small pool of oil underneath. He said that it would have be replaced. Meaning they would have to order another one and come out, again, to install it. I also went ahead with the balance ring replacement just so it's done and over with. August 8th - Nate comes out, again, to install the new gear case and balance ring. The next day while washing clothes I went to take the clothes out and put them in the dryer. When I opened the lid the drum was still spinning. This is about 3-5 minutes after the washer had stopped. I could also move the drum with my hand. Something that didn't happen with the previous gear case or the original before Nate worked on it. I called again to see if it was supposed to do that and was told they would get back to me. They never do. Unless it's about a part coming in they will never call you back. You will always be the one that has to call them. I later noticed that the balance ring wasn't installed correctly. It was uneven and one side was higher than the other. In fact if you spun the drum with your hand you could hear the balance ring scraping against something inside the washer. I think Nate screwed up the original balance ring to begin with. Either while taking it apart, putting it back together or he dropped something on it. We've never had a problem with the balance ring until he worked on it. And he never mentioned it the first time he came out to look at it and tell us what was wrong with it. I finally got a hold of someone on Friday and was told they were going to refund my money and take the parts back. But they wouldn't give me an exact amount. They said they would have to wait until they got the money back from the manufacturer. I don't think it should matter what they get back from the manufacturer. I paid $471.93 which was including labor (which was not told about the labor cost) for the gear case and $117.49 for the balance ring. Neither were installed correctly. I should get the full amount back. After about two weeks, I got a check from them for $100 less for the gearcase. They told me that was part of the labor cost, $200. I would not get it back. I also paid $100 for them to come out the first time for the service call. For over three months after contacting Atomic Tech and them coming out here I was still going to the laundromat because they never did it right the first time. Save yourself the time, money and headache of dealing with this company and avoid them. Either go with a different company or replace the appliance. read more

We have yet to have a good experience with this company. We have called them for three different items and was left upset or doing things ourselves. The sad part is that they appear to be the repair company of choice for American home shield. The first repair was a microwave. We called then and it took several trips and FIVE MONTHS to fix. Then we called about our ceiling fans. One was supposedly damaged by a power surge. Of all the fans, outlets, and lights, only one ceiling fan had this issue. The ceiling fan on the first floor was repair, but it was controlled by two switches. After the repairman left, it only left us with one working outlet. The third repair was for our dishwasher. That took four trips and left us with an outlet that doesn't work. We called American Home Shield and they are sending the same company out to see what they find. If they determine it is not something they did, then we have to pay for the call. I'd bet my entire paycheck that they find no fault. I am done with this company AND American Home Shield. read more
