This is not about the quality of the service this company provides. I believe their services to be sound and of high quality. This is about the payment process, or, the process one has to go through to pay them and the lack of proper billing protocols. 1. PayPal is not a professional way to take money if you are running a professional service. I have no issues with this company offering PayPal to those customers who want to pay in that method, rather, I am very irritated that PayPal is the only option offered when they ask for money by email. 2. If I want my wife's clients to pay the money they owe her, I send a bill (invoice), the email of which also contains a link to a payment window. My system accepts most all cards as well as the ability to do ACH payments. e-Legal Services company wants me to pay without first seeing a bill or an invoice so I don't even know what I am paying for. My philosophy is - If it is easy to make payment, the likely hood that payment will be made goes up!! I did attempt to pay the requested amount, but ran into problems because they insist I pay going through PayPal. Even though I wanted to, they did not get paid. Eric W. read more

This firm is listed among many firms for e-filing of legal forms with courthouses throughout California. The terms of use specify that the fees are listed in their fee schedule...which is nowhere to be found on their web site. I called to ask for it and also asked why it wasn't on the site and was told "A lot of reasons. Is there something I can help you with?" in a kind of pissy tone. I replied there was not and hung up. I remember from my days as a process server (forty-plus years ago) that this is sort of a dog-eat-dog business so maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but I don't see the need to assume I'm your enemy when I am actually just about to become a customer. read more

I needed a Process Server for a RUSH service in Atascadero, California. My office is from a few counties over needed to make sure we served the individual immediately. I worked directly with Spencer, and he made sure to contact our client before service to assure the child was in our clients care prior to service. We didn't want to child to be present during service. Spencer confirmed service and had the proof of service emailed back to me for filing within 15 minutes of service. The lady that answers the phone is not friendly and was rude to me the two times I called inquiring about their process and prices. I live three hours away so I figured I'd give this company another chance so a few weeks later I called them again to ask a few more questions regarding the process with our attorney .. and rude again. . This time I asked her name. Lisa. I don't do well with rude people... so this is a message to the owner of e legal: Because your store front person Lisa lacks customer service... If I could give minus 5 stars I would! The lady that answered was so rude and short when I asked questions on how the process works with filing small claims court in her county. When I commented how she made me feel stupid her response was that she is used to dealing with attorneys and such.. and hung up on me. When I called back I asked for the manager or owner and she said she was the owner! I guess when your in with attorneys and court officials you don't care about the small illiterate customers in the world. read more

First Class process Service! Spencer and his Team are true professionals located in Paso Robles, CA. Called Spencer at 445pm (his office closes at 5pm) to expedite court paperwork service. He had an individual I requested served by 7pm that night. Summary of my Experience: 1. Called Spencer 15 min prior to his office closing requesting process service 2. Spencer emails a payment form to me 5 min later 3. I email him the court docs I want served, address of the recipient and my payment info 10 min later 4. I needed court documents served quickly, within 3 days, in San Luis Obispo. I am from Out of town. I first called United Process Servers, who was the first that popped up on the Internet. The woman who answered the phone was rude and argumentative. I finally asked her, so what you are saying is you will not serve the court documents? She said they would not take responsibility for them...ok, whatever. I called e legal services. I spoke with Lisa who got the job done without a problem. Not only is she very professional, customer service oriented, but kept me updated each day and followed through when the docs. were served. They were also $30 less than the other server.
