I've used the same esthetician so she has become familiar with my skin & its changes through the seasons. There is no "hard sell" for purchases here & no "blaming" you for not spending $100's on products they have available. This speaks very highly the Staff understand not everyone that walks in will need any or all their products. (I do use their Hydropeptide cleanser.) Pedicures there are a dream for me: no "razor egg" files (like at Mall & Walmart), just warm foot soak, light acid treatment (I have tough corns on my feet), lotion massaged into feet, ankles & calves, followed by base, 2 coats polish & topcoat for pedicure. Very rarely does polish rub/wear off even after three weeks. I have never had a bad or unpleasant experience at Dermistique's in my many visits. I think if you'll try any of their services, you'll come back: they're not as "cheap" as the quick places (broken out skin &/or pedicures that come off in a week), but I have received many compliments on how great my skin looks. She didn't speak to me at all during the service, not to make small talk or to update me on the process. Afterward,​ my lashes were curled and slightly tinted. No post instructions were given or explained. I went home and looked them up and followed to a T. No water or mascara on lashes for 24 hours​. We are 4 days out, my left lashes are much more curled than my right, they are still slightly tinted, except​ the bottom lashes, they are pretty much back to normal. I would say this service was not worth the $75 plus tip.

I've since relocated and was unable to travel back during the pandemic to have them done. Ani did my brows in November 2020. They were a beautiful brown immediately after my first session and darkened as I expected. They kept getting darker. I looked angry. I followed Ani's instructions to lighten them by doing the opposite of good aftercare and they began to lighten. They were no longer brown but were grayish-black instead. Ani offered to warm them up with a different tint that wouldn't darken them. The tint seemed to work but quickly faded to the same dark gray brows with a base that looks like color bled. It doesn't help that my hair is brown and my brows stand out as a poorly drawn in mismatch. My brows are a disaster and Ani stopped responding in July. I'm still diligently trying to fade them but these badboys won't budge. I started not to leave this review because Ani is super nice and super chill. Unfortunately, my brows are super botched and it seems fair to give others a warning. After his haircut, they asked if he would be returning, and he said that he may return in a few months. They then asked if he wanted to return a month from that day. He said he might be back sometime around then. (Really he just didn't like his haircut, and he had a hard time communicating that. That part is NOT the salon's fault.) Here is where things went wrong with the salon: They booked him for the appointment, which he DID NOT ASK FOR. Received 0 texts confirming this "appointment" in advance, and they charged us $34 to my card for a no show appointment HE DID NOT ASK FOR. Receiving this charge, we were obviously confused. I emailed directly with the owner to settle this. First they "don't have any record of this charge". Then they "do have it on record, and say it was for his haircut he went in for" Not true. He paid for this haircut in person the same day he got it. Then it's "Well he had an appointment, and he didn't show up. We can't issue you a full refund." Dealt with this for WEEKS now.
