It was a total coincidence that I happened to find her when my hair person randomly retired. That was a couple years ago and I've gone to see her constantly around 8-9 weeks -- I honestly can't see myself going to anyone else now. Let's talk the pros: 1. She is so sweet and funny -- she totally makes you feel at home. 2. While the actual cut was perfectly fine, the stylist only did minimal cutting and did not style my hair using the typical Ouidad method or techniques. For $120, I expected the full signature service and curl education that usually comes with a certified cut. If you are looking for a true, traditional Ouidad styling experience, you might want to look elsewhere.

Since covid, I embraced my silver hair and stopped coloring so it eventually grew out. It took awhile and today I had bayalage brown added to my silver hair and a layered cut by Sydney. Sydney is super friendly. She had good ideas for my hair. The online booking is a pain, so I called and left a message and an appointment was scheduled with Sydney over the phone. When you accrue points based on purchases you get discounts. I'm close to 1000 points and a 50% discount that can even be used on product. Zach cut my son's hair a year ago for senior photos and did a great job. Zach is super hard to get scheduled with. They moved to a closer location by Petsmart at 14256 Plymouth Ave in Burnsville. They added more space, nail tech and spa services. The bayalage will be low maintenance compared to foils. Added some contrast to silver hair.

Zach is a wonderful person, and deserves your hair alteration business. Whether you require a simple buzz with a clipper, a little shaping for your beard, or indeed if you are a woman-folk and have more elaborate requests and requirements, Zach is well equipped to take care of you. Ladies, you might run the risk of getting mauled (in a good way, of course) from your significant other after a visit. I have never seen anyone walking out looking worse than when they walked in. He even is skilled enough to turn a fellow into a passable Santa! You really owe it to yourself to experience the offerings at this hair cuttery. Mrs Carnivore has just informed me that it is actually called a salon-spa. Zach has just moved in to his new location, and a range of spa services are available, with more coming in the future. The Carnivore is not likely to sit down for a pedicure that doesn't involve immersing his feet in a piranha pond, but never say never. Besides, those fish need to file their teeth down on something every now and again. The Carnivore has also recently been made aware that not all people care for their fingernails with a belt sander, and though this sounds strange, a more traditional method of nail-prettying is done here. Zach also employs someone called an "Aesthetician" which the Carnivore understands to be a person skilled and schooled in making people look better through skin and body hair care. Massage may be offered here in the future. Back to Zach. He is not pretentious, has a delightful sense of humor, and can talk to you as much as you would like about almost anything you can think of. He is quite witty, smart, and well informed. I think next time I am in, we might talk about various techniques for field dressing and skinning a Buick. As I mentioned before, he also does hair-altering for women. Honestly, the Carnivore believes that is primarily what he does and he just tolerates him every so often. Mrs. Carnivore has benefited from Zach's hair styling knowledge and experience for years now, and the Carnivore is quite taken with his work. Scheduling has never been a problem, and in the unlikely event of an unforeseen issue, rescheduling has never presented an issue. The Carnivore gets his hair cut here, and you should too! (Though Mrs. Carnivore would probably be a better endorsement--she patronizes ZRH as well)

Laura is very accommodating and collaborative in working with you to get the style you will love. I typically get a foil, cut, and style and have never been disappointed. She keeps notes on her customers so she knows your history should you want to retain a color or style. Laura is really good at looking at photos and duplicating styles. She is not afraid to say 'your hair is too thin or too curly so it won't look like that...but we could do X instead...'. She also was the stylist for my son's wedding. All looked amazing. She even worked with each of us during regular appointments to try out different styles for the big day. I highly recommend her work. She is professional, fun, and wonderful to chat with as you are getting your hair done.
