I come from Dallas and always get gel nails done every month... Elegant nails is the ONLY place in Kingsville that I trust getting my nails done at. I've tried three other places in town several times and elegant nails is the only place I know of that performs their services on par with what I get in Houston or Dallas! They have so many gel nail colors to choose from! And the employees are always really friendly and nice. On busy days, yes there may be a wait because they only have at most 4-5 people working, but the wait is worth it (and there is a wait for a reason). I refuse to get my nails done elsewhere. The only time I venture elsewhere is when elegant nails isn't open (Sundays :( ), and my backup place then is Kings nails. My gel nails are always perfect and clean, no spill over or mess on my skin, and last about 2-3 weeks with no peeling whatsoever! When taking my gel nails off they always soak and scrape it off which is what is supposed to happen. Surprisingly other places in town will jump straight to using the drill to take my gel off! This is why I only go to Elegant nails. Not to mention the quality of their work is significantly better than other salons. Like i said, on par with the city. I highly recommend Johnny, he's the nail tech that usually does my gel nails. Mary is really good as well! Definitely my favorite nail salon, been going here 3 years now... I will miss this salon very much when I graduate and leave Kingsville. Elegant nails is located beside Blue Ribbon. Their salon is very big and spacious with a laid back relaxing environment. Wish they were open Sundays, but usually on weekends they drive to Houston to pick up new colors and fresh supplies for the week. read more

Worst nail salon that I've ever been to. The nail tech that did my nails had a messy station, was on his phone a lot & also did a VERY SLOPPY JOB. There were bumps & bubbles all over acrylic nails I got done. Also got a coffin shape that were wonky looking.. awful service & also very unprofessional. Place is not clean looking, and they don't have air conditioner. If you want to pay 50$ for a sh*t job then this is your place! read more

I will have to give this place two stars. I went in a few days ago with my sister and got my nails done by Aaron, he was very rude to me and kept making comments about my nails and how it was so hard for him to do them because he thought they were not long enough (they were plenty long). My sister got her nails done by Johnny and he was also rude to her and refused to cut her nails shorter even though she insisted. Her nails ended up breaking that night. Fortunately she was able to go back and get her nails done by a very sweet lady - my suggestion is to request a girl to do your nails at this salon because Johnny and Aaron were terrible!! read more

Best place in town to get your nails done! It's clean, and the staff is always friendly and professional. Good selection of colors and prices are good. TV is on but not obnoxious. They do charge for bottles of water -personally I think water should be complimentary, when places in bigger cities have complimentary juice or wine. They also have a snack bar with decent prices. read more

I went in to get a manicure and a shellac French manicure. The person made me bleed on half my fingers when he cut my cuticles, and four days later the shellac was already peeling off. The staff was friendly but I'm not sure I will be returning. read more

I recently did my nails at Elegant Nails. I chose to go with this place,because of the reviews I had previously read since, I am not from town, I was really disappointed to see that this was one of my worst experiences doing acrylic nails. Cheap nail-polish, prices not posted, rough on manicure, no communication with us costumers, nails on too tight, coffin nails not a lined, and UV light not used after they were done with my acrylic set, was left to air dry. Definitely not recommending or returning. read more

I've been to every salon in Kingsville, TX and this is the only place that consistently has great customer service and does great work. They give you exactly what you ask for and the owners are extremely nice! I do wish they were open on Sundays, but still, they are the best in town! Not impressed at all. I'm new to the area and tried this place because I heard good things about it. When I came in and told the nail techs what I wanted done the one guy refused to do my pedicure and decided he was going to wait for another client to come in. So instead they had a young girl who was halfway out the door to double back and do my feet. She did an okay job. But then the same guy who refused my pedicure also refused to do my full set. Like seriously I'm here with money in hand ready to pay and tip!! So instead they had me wait for 20+ minutes to get my full set done. Next time ill just drive to Corpus Christi. read more

Went for a full set and a pedicure after reading some of the other reviews. I had some problems getting across what I wanted which I guess is my fault, but when I mentioned I wanted colored powder after he'd glued the tips he said he'd have to start over. I've always had color/glitter over white tips without a problem so I was a little confused. Instead of just getting the colored powder on the tips with pink I got it on the whole nail. Not a big deal but I've never seen it done that way anywhere else. It's very uneven, and the shape of the tips is off. Pointy edges on some...they feel straight from the file but a few look like U's they are so uneven. I didn't notice until I left and really looked but I probably wouldn't have said anything anyway. Some of my fingers are cut from the tool and I got a cut from the file. My feet are pretty ragged from my work boots so I felt bad while he was doing them, but he didn't bother trimming my nails. It's pretty obvious since I got a dark polish I've got it on my toes and I will have to fix it later. I asked him to skip the file since it tends to be a waste and I don't like it; he did it anyway and it didn't hurt for once so that's a plus? The hot towel was draped over my legs for maybe 2 minutes before he gave me a "massage" so fast it almost hurt. Next time I will wait to go to Corpus...I spend about the same for nicer results and an actual relaxing experience. Maybe it was just my nail tech but I'm not a fan. read more
