Went in to Elegant Nails for a fill. Nails were done really thick. Did not want to make a fuss because my tech was very cordial. Disliked my nails so much I returned two days later and asked if they could just reshape and re-polish with not as many coats of polish. Took them 30mins to agree to do my nails over, told me that maybe I told the tech that's what I wanted and told me they would charge me to fix them. I was very disappointed by this nail salon. The inside decor and ambiance is very relaxing and spacious, however the service I recieved for the amount of money I paid was extremely unsatisfactory. I walked in and asked for a manicure. As in any salon, the lady asked if I wanted a pedicure and gel manicure, I nice decline. However she did oversell a bit. I can't fault anyone for wanting to get more business. Then she stood there next to me as I tried to find the right shade of pink. Quiet uncomfortable and made me feel rushed. When I sat down, she never said a word to me and started filing my nail, which I had grown out for a manicure, oval. I quickly stopped her and told her I wanted square. Unfortunately that nail was filed down and the rest of the nails had to be as well to match. The rest of the manicure went in the same tune. She cuticle cutting was sloppy and hurt, even after nicely warning her. She massage was 30 seconds per hand!!! This is a big no-no when you charge $13 for a manicure. And she messed up EVER single one of my nails as she was painting them. When I was finally able to dry my nails, I'm almost certain their drying purple lamp was not working up to code and no fan. They also didn't supply drying spray. Finally there was no manager on staff to discuss my dissatisfaction. I hope other people had better experiences than me, however for the "luxury" prices, this is definetly a sub-average salon with inexperienced staff. read more

It's about time to update, and sadly the news isn't good! Used to absolutely love this place. As my last review indicates, they were quiet, clean, and had food network on. You could CHILL and get your nails done. That's how I roll. I don't mind pleasantries, but I usually like being quiet and getting some "me" time at the salon. There are new people now who like to have loud conversations with each other in Vietnamese and talk. I had one super sweet woman working on my pedicure and another lady working on my manicure. When she asked me if I wanted my brow waxed and I said not today, she said "you really need to clean up!" I was all "that's so sweet of you to say" because you know, that ain't the way to warm people up. And my brow is NOT in awful shape, by the way! She looked at me like I was the rude one. Whatever. They did a good job. I left $6 on a $54 bill. Less than I would usually leave on account of her rudeness, but still not a BAD tip. She didn't even say thanks, just kinda pursed her lips when I gave her $60 and told her to keep the change. So. That was my last time there! read more

Wow what a great nail salon! I was in need of a gel manicure and pedicure being I was visiting from NJ and had no clue where to go. I looked up some spots on yelp but this one definitely grabbed my attention from all the reviews I read and I'm very happy I chose this one. I called up and made an appointment and arrived on time. I had to wait about 5 minutes as they prepared my pedicure station with a fresh liner ( I have never seen this before and loved it ) The salon was absolutely spotless and they use disposable buffers and files which lets me know they are very health conscious. The decor is very upscale with pillars and a mural painted on the wall and not to mention the chandelier. My nail lady was very sweet and listened to my requests. The pedicure was excellent and the color selection they have for gel manicures is unbelievable. It was really hard to decide on a color but I ended up finding a royal blue I've been on the hunt for! While I got my pedicure done another young lady started removing my color gels I had on and prepped me for the gel manicure station. It was nice to have both done at the same time to save a little time in between. I had asked for a nail design and provided a picture to my nail lady. They did they very best they could with my little tid bit nails and I love it. Cute little tucan or as my friends say a messed up penguin, either way I love it. The prices were reasonable for this very upscale salon. I ended up paying about $80 for my gel mani and pedicure with nail art and tip. It was well worth the money for the experience. read more

I've tried a few places in the area and I found that Elegant nails does a fantastic job not just with their manicures and pedicures but with their costumer service. I always feel like I receive the best spa treatment. Everyone is incredibly nice, and they keep the place clean and tidy. I would recommend this place for sure. Today I paid $82 (not Including tip)for my manicure pedicure. The pedicure prices vary depending on the packages you choose. I had SNS manicure and package 2 with regular nail polish for pedicure. I always make a 2 week appointment because I get bored with my nail color but my nails can go 3 to 4 weeks before returning depending on how many dishes I wash! read more

I came to Elegant Nails after another salon (Lux) destroyed them. I walked in at it felt like a spa. I was relived to say the least after they took a look at my nails and saw the damage. They were in awe too. But, I received a fantastic pedicure, while they painlessly and cleverly took care of my nails. Afterward, the manager (a very nice man) came to me and asked if I was ok and was happy with everything! It was such a great experience! Everyone there was so nice. The lady (I forget her name) and Michael who repaired my nails were so nice. It was also fresh, clean and pretty inside. They have large flat screens for your viewing pleasure and spa music on that is very relaxing. All the tables and pedicure chairs seem new! Not only that but the price was great. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had a nail salon! The guy who did my SNS painted the clear polish on my skin as well as the nail- so by the time he had finished dipping my nails in the color- it looked like a child had painted my nails. I was confused about how he was going to get the color off my skin and then he pulled out the electric buffer.... by the time he finished, I had cuts on every single finger and my nails looked RIDICULOUS! I showed the lady at the front and she had someone completely redo them- which of course meant soaking my fingers in acetone to get the sns off. I nearly cried from the pain of the acetone in my fresh cuts!! To top it all off- they tried to charge me for a manicure in addition to the SNS!! My 1 hour appointment took 2.5 hours and I ended up stuck in Atlanta traffic trying to get home. I will say that the lady who fixed my nails did a great job.. but they are so much shorter as a result of back to back nail jobs and my nail beds are still inflamed from all of the irritation. I've been coming here for quite some time. And typically it's a pleasant experience. There are many nail technicians that are sweet and kind. But today I saw something that shook my to my core. A very old lady was very upset at the front desk. I just happened to be paying at the same time. She was upset because she was told her toe nail trim would cost her $6. But then, when she went to pay, they told her it would cost her $30. This sweet elderly lady must have been 90 years old. And these money hungry heartless Elegant Nails staff were harassing her for the $30. LUCKILY for the sweet old lady, I stepped in and told them that the miscommunication in price is on THEIR end, not hers. As soon as I began sternly voicing that it was not the lady's fault, the Elegant Nails staff backed down- as if they were just trying to take advantage of the old lady. The Elegant Nails staff was SO incredibly rude. All they care about is money- absolutely no sensitivity to this sweet elderly lady who just wanted her toe nails trimmed. I am embarrassed to be a customer of Elegant Nail salon after today. I will not be attending anymore. I will be moving across the street to Hammond Nails and I suggest everyone reading this should to. Elegant Nails should be mortified by their money hungry, heartless behavior. I came here yesterday on a spur to get a pedicure. I've never visited this location before, but my neighbor goes all the time and raves about it. I was a bit worried that would be closed when I visited after work, but luckily, they close at 7:30 during the week. When I entered, I immediately noticed there was a wait to get work done. Two women were already sitting down and every chair was filled with people getting manicures and pedicures. I asked the man at the counter how long the wait was and he just said, "not long." Ok, I guess. Not long can be very subjective, but I wasn't rushed so I just accepted that. I waited about 15 minutes before it was my turn. As the previous woman got out of her chair a man immediately swooped in and began cleaning the little tub and sanitizing the chair and other things. Maybe this is the lurking guy the other reviewer mentioned? A lurking man that only comes out to clean? Sounds nice to me! A soft-spoken woman named Vi was my technician. Before she started, I apologized for the horrendous condition my toes were in, but she just smiled and told me not to worry. As she began her work, I relaxed. Other people are right when they how relaxing this place is. Soft, relaxing music plays in the background, signs telling people not to be on their phones, and two TVs muted on the Food Network. And the chair is pretty awesome, too! I went to town on that massage chair. Absolutely wonderful. I opted for the honey scrub pedicure ($28) and chose a go-to red color. The honey scrub was fantastic! At first I thought she was just going to rub some scrub on me and call it a day, but she actually massaged my calf and all of my foot. She did that on both legs and that lasted about 15 minutes. Then she put on some conditioning lotion and did it again! Coupled with the massage chair, I was in heaven! I would pay her for just that! Before she got started on the nails, I watched closely for the whole clean and sanitizing thing that the company claims their infamous for. And sure enough, she opened up brand new packages of utensils before she got started and put on some latex gloves. Yay for OCD about germs! She was efficient and made sure to be gentle on my extremely ticklish feet. And the color looks great! No smears or chips. :) The only issue I have is that after I paid and she brought me the receipt she said that tip was cash only. There wasn't even a space to leave a tip on the receipt. I wish she had told me that before she started, or even better, if there was a sign that mentioned that. I had to waddle over to Publix with my flimsy pedicure flip flops to get her tip. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back. read more

I'm Vietnamese and I have to say I dread Vietnamese nail salons for many reasons. Most of the staff are nosy, always asking personal questions. They appear to gossip alot, making clients uncomfortable. I do speak and understand Vietnamese and I can assure you that most of time they do not gossip about clients, just gossip in general...still very annoying. My mom and aunts have worked and some still work at nail salons and I always tell them they need to be more professional. That's why it's so refreshing to come to Elegant Nails. They are PROFESSIONALS! I love the owners and the staff. They seem caring and ask polite questions without being "nosy". The ambiance is great - very relaxing and quiet. If someone gets on the mobile phone, the person is being asked politely to please step out so that other clients can enjoy their time without listening in. The prices are fair compared to other surrounding salons. I've never had a problem adding tip to my credit card if I forgot or didn't have time to stop to get cash beforehand. The manicure & pedicure are also great. If you've never been there before ask for the more experienced nail technicians. The less inexperienced ones I find make more mistakes or not as careful as the more experienced ones, but that's a no-brainer, right? You'll find the ones that you like after a while and will stay with him or her. Not sure about the comment previous reviewer made about male employees standing around. All the male employees work on nails whenever I am there. In the summer, I do think they hire some young folks to answer the phones or clean up so they may be standing around when not busy. I really enjoyed my trip to this nail salon! The decor and atmosphere is very relaxing. I came for eyebrow/lip waxing which was performed by Stephanie. The wax she used was for sensitive skin, so it didn't hurt a bit. After having two women mess up my eyebrows I was very pleased she got them even and Shapley! Next she did my manicure. She was gentle with my cuticles, polish was nice, massage was okay and the warms towels were a nice touch. My eyebrow & lip wax was only $13 Manicure was $13 Only thing I will say is don't go if you are in a rush. They are busy and multitask, but also take the time to perform your services. Great experience! First time coming to this salon and I was impressed!! To start when you walk in the salon is spacious and gorgeous. You check in on an iPad and select what services you need. The gel color selection has so many options there's no way you can't find your color. They had colors I haven't seen at other salons. The staff was so nice and welcoming. I felt horrible coming in an hour before closing but they didn't make me feel rushed or like I was holding them up. Stephanie did such a great job with my nails. I was so happy when I found this place. It's right down the street from me, and it's clean and well kept. The first two visits were great -- that is, my pedicures were great. However, the customer service always left something to be desired. The manager, an in-charge petite woman, was nice but... there's that "but". You know? I figured that it was probably a language and cultural barrier more than anything and I can excuse that, (and I did!), until my third and final visit. The girl, someone I'd never had before, cut my nail waaaaay too deeply, and it bled. It also hurt, a lot. Instinctively, my reflexive reaction was to draw my leg back from her to console my poor foot, and I noticed she seemed annoyed with me! "It hurts," I told her, and she remained expressionless. She went in for it AGAIN when I gingerly placed my feet back in front of her and when I let out a little yelp this time, the girl next to her actually stood up and told me to relax and sit back in a very rude tone. Um.. what? You're pretty much amputating my toe and I'm supposed to sit back and relax? It was the way they handled it that irked me. Look, I'm easy going and I know mistakes happen. But a "I'm so sorry, can I get you anything?" or "Do you need a minute?" would've gone MUCH further than angry eyes! I haven't gone back since. Why? When I told the manager about it, she just smiled and said, "Oh, okay." Also, they're a little pricey for the upper end polishes and such. I asked my nail tech why there were so many men standing around doing nothing, and she whispered nervously that they did manicures, but there were only women doing manicures at the time. Fishy.... I also wanted to place a tip on my credit card and was told by the apparent "manager", (an abrupt, unsmiling older Asian lady) that tips are cash only, no exceptions. Wonder why that is.. I've been coming here for years and like this place a lot. When they first opened, they stole me away from the other nearby salon and I was quickly a fan.The atmosphere is nice and clean, the prices are good, the people are friendly and they do a good job. They renovated and added a new section awhile back, though I never understood why because they didn't seem to staff accordingly to their new larger size and most of the chairs remain empty and at times (even when they're not slammed) I still have to wait.
