I came in on yesterday (1 of about 10 visits) to get a French gel manicure with tips and a French pedicure. One of the managers (female) recommended I try the ombré colors for the manicure stating it's "new and popular" so I did that. My nail beautician "Vicky" was not friendly at all and she kept using the drill on full power. Kind of rough. I was very dissatisfied with the end result of my manicure so asked about changing it. My manicure alone was $68 at this point. She told me it would be another $48 to fix it. When checking out, the owner asked if I liked my manicure. Me being honest but polite said no and showed him why. There were several mistakes in it and on top of that, my nails were throbbing. I asked him what would it cost to come back and change it. He said we can take care of it no cost but when did you want to return? I told him I could be back tomorrow. By the middle of the night 3 out of 5 of my nails on each hand were in a lot of pain around the cuticles, mainly the sides. It wore off though around 9am or so. On today around 11:30am, I returned and spoke with the same female manager as yesterday and she kept saying "it's the color you chose, this is the color you chose." She even called Vicky (the same beautician from yesterday) over to ask her in their language, what color did I pick on yesterday. Vicky chose the color on my hand. I stated that my concern is not necessarily the color although I don't like it, it's the ombré and how i'm just unhappy with it. We picked a new color and I sat back down with Vicky and this is where the 1 star comes in. I told her how I would like the manicure to look and was trying my best to be patient with her because I can tell she was upset at the fact she had to redo it.. She said she didn't understand. I asked "can I show you on the brochure up there?" She said yes. I showed her on their own brochure how the ombré looks and if she could just make it fade out sooner vs rising all of the way up the nail. So just before halfway up my nail, it should be faded out. She said okay. Vicky was EXTREMELY rough and used the biggest drill head she had in there and she hit every single one of my cuticles with it.. I jerked every time. She said "just relax your hand" I said "it's hard to do that when this hurts" she ignored and continued. I tipped her on yesterday EVEN THOUGH I hated the job because I believe in still paying for your service and I wanted to show that even though a customer is unhappy with something, not all customers will be angry, yell or anything like that. I was calm and polite the entire time. Upon completion today, I go back to the front desk and asked the same female manager did I owe anything, she stated no and proceeded to explain how mixing certain colors are easier than others.. which i told her is perfectly understandable however, I told her that her beautician Vicky was rude, and very rough on my hands more today than yesterday and that she shouldn't react like that just because a customer is unsatisfied with something but trying to work with them on a resolution. She only heard some of it because she kept answering the phone and then Vicky walked over to listen so I just thanked her for the service and stated I like the look of the new manicure even though my nails are in pain... and left. This is definitely my last time visiting here. My neighbor and I went today and had a wonderful experience!! For a Saturday afternoon around 1pm they were busy but got to us very quickly. The service was great and the technicians are very friendly. I love that very utensil (even the pumice bar) used on me came out of brand new packages! I had been looking for a new place after the last two places I went gave me spots of fungus on my big toe. I came from NY where my salon used these individual packets and it's so great and clean. I have frequented this nail salon many times over the years and for the most part they have done a good job. Have had to wait numerous times even with an appt but I keep going back. However I went yesterday for my 4pm appointment (pedicure & SNS manicure) and they did not get started on my toes until after 4:30. The person doing the pedicure was rough- so rough he cut the bottom of my foot. I didn't know it was actually bleeding at the time just knew it hurt. They never came to do my SNS (always have them done at the same time) until I was getting up from the pedicure chair which was now after 5:00. I told them no thank you and proceeded to move to the nail dryers. The young man that did my pedicure showed up with a first aid kit and told me i was bleeding...where he had cut me with the callous remover!! Seriously....and I paid them! NEVER going back!! So happy I gave this place a try today! I am constantly on the hunt for a good nail salon and sadly I am usually disappointed but not today!! I came in for a gel manicure and pedicure ($55 for both) and was happy to see there was no wait. I was very pleased to see they have a HUGE selection of both nail polish and gel polish, I love that. They have a few different price tiers based on the kind of mani/pedi you want, I did a basic pedicure and was happy with that. Both technicians did a great job and were very friendly without being too chatty (with me or amongst themselves). All of the techs were dressed in a "uniform" and it gave it a very professional, cohesive feel. Each of my techs used new, fresh tools on me and the basin of the pedicure chair was sealed with a plastic bag. They each did a great job with the massage and I felt very relaxed when they were done! I'm not going back to this salon anymore. I think they are shady. I have used three different nail techs, and after the last one, I know that something is going on. I had acrylic fill-ins the first two times, and then switched out to SNS yesterday. With all three techs, they left way too much space between my cuticle and fill-in. With the SNS yesterday, I could see where the thick part ends and a light layer was added towards my cuticle for color. It's very noticeable. I knew then that this was a regular practice in their salon. It's a method of getting the customer back more frequently for fill-ins b/c the nail grows out leaving an unsightly gap. That is shady, but I gave it three chances and a lot of money before reviewing. It's a nice salon, otherwise. I just hate being played as a fool. read more

I went to this salon because it was close to my house. The place seemed nice, it started off a little rocky when the tech immediately cut my nails quite short. Additionally, the polish was old and thick. After getting my mani, I waited as long as I usually do, but because of the thickness of the polish, my nails kept smudging. The next day I looked at my nails, and the polish was cracked...i can only guess this happened because they diluted the polish to save money. I would have given it 1 star except it was really clean. Make sure to bring your own polish in, or that you have a fresh bottle. read more

Today was the third time I have been to Elegant Nails for a gel manicure. On each occasion I pointed something out, like a sharply filed corner or needing another coat, and asked for it to be corrected. Each time the manicurist first suggested I was wrong, and then continued to express clear frustration while making the correction. I guess this wasn't a "third times the charm" scenario, but rather "three strikes and you're out." I will not be returning to Elegant Nails because of their poor attitudes and service, and I recommend others try one of the many other salons within a mile. read more

Stopped by here for the first time today because I work nearby. I love my gel manicure. The nail tech did a great job - night and day from my last gel manicure at a different salon. Polish is nice and even and she filed the nails before and after to make sure they were shaped right. And she painted the entire nail - I'm sure ya'll have experienced those salons that leave a space in between your nail cuticle and where the polish begins. Elegant Nails in Roswell used to be a fairly decent place to go get your nails done, and eyebrow waxing and leave feeling great. I had gone several times while living in Roswell, and was usually satisfied with my experience...but I went last Saturday, and despite the fact that there were three employees there and only one other customer there, I left later realizing I had received a very very very bad eyebrow waxing. She had whipped the mirror too fast for me to really see, and I wasn't really thinking, just excited I was spending the day pampering myself. Well, my eyebrows do not match at all, and I'm a bit embarrassed. I'm hoping that Brow Girl from some other people's reviews will be able to save me, but I will sadly not be going back to Elegant Nails again. read more

i'm giving this nail salon 5 stars because for the past 2 years i've been going here and find myself comparing other places negatively against elegant nails. when i'm out of town or still in atlanta i have never found another place that is as clean, relaxing, updated, or skilled as elegant nails. what i've learned from the numerous times i've been here is that the men who work here are phenomenal at doing fingernails ( i've had a few quality issues with the women doing them) and i'm also giving you my big secret... ask for hana to do your pedicure. you will never find a more perfect looking pedicure, she is the absolute best and i won't even go to elegant if she isn't there that day. read more

I came here trying to find a new nail salon and won't be coming back. They're not bad, more like basic/average. The guy who did my gel nails did them in 20 minutes (way too fast to do a decent job). The color was very inconsistent and left a lot of residue along the sides. I had to ask the girl doing my pedicure for a nail filer to try to fix them. For my pedicure, I asked if she could spend more time on my cuticles and her response was "I already did them. If I do more it'll hurt". I was charged $5 extra for no reason! I came in for a fill in with all of my nails very much so in tact. Maybe three of them had a slight bit of lift happening on the sides but is that not what a fill in is for?? The lady that did my nails immediately had an attitude when I told her I didn't want polish or anything extra or a full set. She complained THE WHOLE time! Saying that this was not a fill in but an overlay because two or three nails were lifting on the sides--once again, not anything crazy or out of the ordinary for a fill. None of my nails were hanging off or anything! The set she was filling was only two weeks old. Anyway, she charged me $5 extra and never said while she was doing my nails in the midst of her complaining that she was going to charge me. I asked her to explain since she didn't repair any nails & she said it was because some nails were lifting.?? Zero sense. Needless to say I won't be back! Smh. I read reviews about this place and decided to stop in. This place is very nice and clean, with a relaxing atmosphere. I attended once, receiving an eyebrow waxing, gel mani and pedi. My only complaints are: Speaking in another language while working and the thin coat of gel polish that broke 2 nails, one on each hand within one week of getting them done. I love this place. I've been a regular customer for years and have always been treated extremely well by all staff. This location is in a small Publix shopping plaza. The first time I came here I wasn't impressed my the outside but once you walk in the door you're whole perception changes. The ambience is great with multiple televisions (usually on cooking station) but it's always quiet. They have signs to please not talk on your cell phone in order to provide a calming, relaxing experience for everyone. I love that! I can't tell you how many times I go to salons and have to hear the person tall to loud, laugh extremely loud like they were at home...when all I'm trying to do is relax. This salon has the capacity to have a lot of people in chairs as they have two separate areas in order to accommodate large numbers of people. I see Christy and she's the best. I've had multiple people do my manicures and everyone has been super friendly...we talk and laugh. Be advised it's best to make an appointment or call ahead as there are many regular customers that come to this location. Also it can get extremely busy right before holidays as well. This location has a large selection of nail polishes to choose from in both regular polish and gel. So you can always get fun new colors to try on. Additionally they started using single pre-packaged soaking salts, scrubs and foot masks for when you get your pedicure. There were two large televisions on, but they were both muted. Relaxing instrumental music was playing. I only had a pedicure, but the technician did an excellent job.
