The variety of class options is great; there are cycle classes, TRX strength classes (a unique format), and a variety of yoga classes. The studio is small but in a cozy way. There is basically just a front desk area with storage cubbies and water dispenser, then a one-room studio large enough for a class with 15 cycle bikes and some equipment shelves. I fell in love with this place's atmosphere in my first few classes (I have tried several of the formats with different instructors). The operation is quaint, very clean, homey, and peaceful. I feel refreshed after every class! The staff is also amazing; the instructors are always friendly, welcoming, and energetic. Keri is especially passionate and goes above-and-beyond to make every guest welcome and encouraged to work. Keri was integral to me becoming a regular customer - if she hadn't been such a great first impression in my first class, I doubt I would have come back the next three days in a row. Thank you, A8!

First, let me say that the Midland Community Center offers a very large range of activities...two…read morepools (lap pool and a large family pool), basketball courts, weight room, racquetball courts...there is definitely a lot to do at the MCC. However, in the past few years they have made visiting completely cost-prohibitive. Do you like to swim to stay in shape? It will cost you $40 a month...and the pool is only open for a few select hours each day for open swim (seriously...go look at their schedule and try to figure out when you can and cannot swim). That, and their lap pool only has 5 lanes, and there were multiple occasions where I had to share lanes with up to 4 people at a time. What if you just want to drop in and run around the track? $7 A DAY. You do get access to their weight room, too, but for $3 more you could just get a MONTHLY membership at Planet Fitness. All membership plans also require an "auto-draft joining fee" of about $100. So, if money isn't an issue and you like to stay in shape, definitely check this place out. However, if you're working with a tight budget, try one of the other gyms in the area, because MCC is one of the most expensive ways to stay in shape in the area, and there are better options out there for far less money

So imagine my surprise when I set up a time for a PiYo (pilates-yoga flow) class here. The space is large and very well maintained and clean. (God, I love clean, I hate when you're in down dog and spy a hair cluster that sweeping missed). Lovely space. Good class selection. Seriously, if this were on the coast, users would probably pay $150+ a month to join. I've been to one class, hope to get in one more, but from one pro to another, Sarah Fechter has a good thing going. Keep it up and keep giving Saginaw a place to get their fit fab on. The only thing preventing me from giving it a full five stars was the reservation system. I found it really odd that FB posts/replies were how spots were reserved. They would probably be better served transitioning to MindBody or MYiClubOnline for class reservations so you don't have to wait for a FB reply to see if you're in or not.

If you're new to a class, the instructor notices and introduces herself right away. The classes are taught advanced and modified so no matter your speed, it's an amazing workout!
