Not a good experience with this hotel during my last visit to Orlando (first and last time staying here). A 4 hour trip ended up taking way longer because of bad weather and traffic. This made our group of 5 run late for the reason of this trip (Halloween Horror Nights). My friend works for Expedia Taap, her mother owns a travel agency and I work for a luxury travel agency myself... being considerate, we decided we should call the hotel to let them know we were checking in late. To our surprise, our reservation had been cancelled because "they tried to charge the CC on file and had gotten an error". There was no record of this "transaction with the CC company, there was no call from hotel to advise us of this "issue", they said they emailed us (no email found). Had we not called, we would have shown up later that night to find out there was no reservation. The bigger issue was their attitude, lack of respect, lack of regard, lack of customer service... unacceptable. They lady we spoke to over the phone, told us with a big attitude she "would be there in the morning" to talk to us regarding issue.... She was nowhere to be seen, nor did she advise anybody there that we had this issue. Given my friend, her mother and my own experience in the hospitality and travel industry, the way this was handled was very unprofessional. We were visiting Orlando for a wedding . It was a family trip and we had our dog with us . Element Orlando checked off all the boxes. It's located off the very popular international drive . Right across from sea world . Each room has a kitchen which I believe is very important . A walk in shower . A continental breakfast is served every morning with ample of options for everyone . This hotel is also dog friendly which was nice . The location itself was very clean and bright . The people at the front desk were very friendly and welcome . When I go back to Orlando I will definitely be staying here again read more

We bundled this hotel with our southwest vacation flight. The pictures on the website looked decent. Honestly, we're not that picky. We wanted a modern and clean room. We booked 2 queen beds and a queen pull out sofa bed. Pros: - Complimentary breakfast downstairs in lobby. A variety of different options to choose from. There are daily breakfast specials where they cook in front of you. - Friendly customer service; front desk was great! Forgot her name. She was very helpful and accommodating! - modern and clean enough rooms - happy hour beer/snacks in lobby - close by to a few attractions like Universal, Seaworld, Discovery Cove (we went to visit Disneyworld tho) - appreciated the pull out bedding set Cons: - AC was not working. Called maintenance to come and fix, which they did, but it still was not blowing cold air. It was better than before, but not how you would expect an AC to feel like. We were dying in the humid room waiting for them to fix the ac after being on a long flight. - The shower drain did not drain very well. The drain was not like other drains, which were round. This drain was rectangular had a cover on it. We had to remove the cover ourselves to clear out the drain so that water would go down, otherwise we were standing in our own dirty water. - Parking was a bit confusing. You have to scan a QR code and prepay through a 3rd party parking company. Overall, we would stay again! Especially with the Southwest Vacation bundle! read more

Solid hotel experience that is right off of International Drive! Really convenient location if you are looking to go to Universal or Sea World. Super convenient for being close to the convention center as well. The hotel rooms are decently comfortable, with spacious bathrooms and large walk in shower. While not aiming for luxury, the room itself is still well appointed and service by the staff is solid. The complementary breakfast offerings are much more extensive than I expected, with various hot foods to go along with pastries, bagels, etc. parking is a little annoying since there is paid parking only. (Review #995) Decent commuter hotel by Westin and within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio. A little out of the way from the Orlando Convention Center (and by that i mean nothing around is walkable) but it's easy to find and you're pretty much along International Drive and within a short trip to most things on this part of town. Decent sized rooms but pared down amenities. Very bare bones commuter style. Don't except luxury accommodations. But it works for the quick trips to a conference or something. read more

Please read this review before you even consider this hotel. The front desk staff was quite possibly the rudest people I have ever had the misfortune of interacting with, the rest of the staff was lovely. Our issues with this property started from the moment we checked in, the room we originally were promised was given to another party because we were checking in late. I tried not to make too much of a fuss about it but when we went into the room itself it was absolutely filthy and disgusting. I am a huge fan of "a picture is worth a thousand words," so I've included two, one of the feces-streaked toilet and the second the sofa bed they gave us in lieu of our original room, which was NOT only stained but also smelled of wet dog. When I went to the front desk to complain, they told us "tough luck, there are no other rooms available." We then asked for bedding for the sofa bed since there was none in the room, and they told us they would send someone one. Mind you, this was around 10 PM, they arrived with the bedding around 11:45. I could go on and on about how terribly we were treated at the property, but ultimately, I thought Marriott would do right by us, considering we have Platinum Elite status for quite some time. Their response? We're sorry that happened to you, here are 8k points and gtfo of our face. Damn. Rude. This sole experience has soured me on the entire Bonvoy experience. Please do not put your family through this ordeal, there are plenty of other nicer hotels nearby that actually treat you like a human being. P.S Parking is not included and it $26 bucks a night, something they do not advertise. read more

Where you stay matters and Element did not disappoint! We were able to check in a bit early thanks to Latana at the front desk. She upgraded us to the best room ever (room 822). We had a beautiful view of the Eye. The room was heavenly! The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was great. I would recommend turning the shower on a good 20 minutes before getting in since it took that long to get hot water flowing but even that wasn't a negative. Valet parking ($30) was worth it. It is a smoke free property which I can respect. The breakfast was A+. It was VERY good and my whole family enjoyed it. We will be back for sure! The sunrise was spectacular. If I could give zero stars, I would. Lets start with the fact that I am a marriott bonvoy elite gold status member. I always stay at marriott because I love them and am comfortable with them. I booked one night at the element with my boyfriend for a total of $186 and some change. We had the entire day in the parks and came to check in around 11pm. Once we arrived at the front desk, the man asked for my ID. I handed it to him, he looked at it, typed a couple things on his computer and made a phone call. No explanation was given, but we were told we were going to get an upgrade and would be moved to the neighboring hotel, the aloft. We were escorted through the gym to the front desk of the aloft. I spoke with the front desk and the lady explained we were upgraded (I know now that they just overbooked). She asked me to insert my card, for incidentals, and we were given a room and room keys. Once up in the room, we were getting situated, and within all of five minutes I get a charge on my debit card for $224 and some change. I sent my boyfriend downstairs with my card and information and told him to explain that there was a mistake. He came back up almost immediately and said the lady at the front desk said that the original charge (of 186 and change) never went through, was incredibly rude to him, and they needed to charge my card for the stay. I went down stairs, with proof of my bank charge. Sabrina, the front desk supervisor, gave me incredible attitude, so I told her she will be refunding me for the $224 AND for the $186 because we would be leaving. I was met with more attitude, so we packed our stuff and went back down stairs to get a finalized receipt. I ensured I would be refunded for both transactions and Sabrina said yes. She gave me her name and title on a receipt and we left. This all happened on November 8. I got the refund for $224 from the aloft, however, I had to call 4 separate times to marriott/element to try to get my refund for the original stay of $186. Even the supervisors supervisor could not help. It is now December 9, and I have YET to get that refunded to me. I opened a dispute with my bank, and even my bank is having issues getting a hold of the element hotel. I will NEVER stay at this place again, not after the hassle that I have gone through and am still going through. Don't bother giving them your money, it's not worth it!!! read more

While we didn't have time to explore the amenities or facilities, the location was perfect--just a short drive to SeaWorld and Aquatica. It took the front desk almost 2 hours to check us in because she's new and the system was down. The manager finally helped her 1 1/2 hours (12:45 AM!) after I tried to check in and informed us that system has been down since morning. If they knew that system has been wonky since morning, why was a new employee left alone on one of the busiest, if not the busiest, times of year? To add insult to injury, the manager kept insinuating that the reason they cannot check me in was because my card was declined. MALICIOUS HOUSEKEEPER(S) My husband and I went to Orlando and stayed at Element earlier this year (late February to early March 2023).  Their customer service was very poor and room amenities needed updating.  The clothing iron in the room was not working very well.  At first we brought down the bad iron to the front desk to ask for a new one.  The front desk employee said they would have to put in the request in the computer and then someone would bring us a new one. I think it took them until the next day for a new iron to show up.  And we're pretty sure they brought the same mal-functioning iron that we had rejected back to us.   My husband had also been fighting a cold on this trip, so we asked for an extra box of Kleenex.  Basically anything we requested (the box of kleenex and the working clothing iron previously mentioned), we would have to wait at least a full day to show up.  Even worse, we'd have to call down to remind them we were still waiting on the item.   NOW, about the MALICIOUS housekeeper which made us furious: For the whole time we were there, we put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign.  I personally don't like strangers touching my stuff, and also I'm a pretty organized and clean person.  I can make my own bed and all that.  So we didn't need housekeeping.  However, one day when my husband went to brush his teeth, he noticed that there was some pink liquid on his electric toothbrush.  Neither of us had any pink-colored liquid toiletries and so that was, of course, very strange.   We ran through some scenarios and thought maybe housekeeping came in, DESPITE the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, and somehow spilled their cleaning detergent or toilet cleaner?  That didn't make sense because the room wasn't made when we came back.  On top of that, someone would have to be DELIBERATE to leave the pink liquid on his electric toothbrush, as it was not just sitting on the counter.  It had been tucked away in its case inside my husband's toiletry bag.   My husband naturally could not use the contaminated toothbrush and went down to the front desk to ask for a clean toothbrush.  He also asked to speak with the housekeeping manager to inquire about the incident.  They should have electronic keycard access records of who entered our room and when, so it should be pretty easy to identify the individual.  And we want to know why someone would do this.  Later, we did get to speak to a housekeeping supervisor.  He took down information and told us he would escalate it upwards then get back to us. That was near the end of our trip and we didn't get a call back until after we'd returned home.  Unfortunately, my husband missed the call from the hotel general manager.  My husband did, however, call back several times and left messages, but never heard back again.  So I don't know if it was because we were no longer on property and therefore out of their hair, that the general manager just decided to ignore us.  So we were never able to find out who did it and why they did it. Anyway, this review did take a while for us to submit, because, well, we're busy with life.  But as we recently were chatting with some family members and remembered the incident, I decided this should be documented.  This was a MALICIOUS act committed by an individual with INTENT TO CAUSE HARM.  Needless to say, cleaning detergents are not meant for human ingestion as they're poisonous and could inflict serious bodily reactions.  So be wary of housekeeping staff if you do decide to stay at this property. read more

I was looking for a hotel not too far from the Orange County Convention Center for the weekend and this one fit the bill. It's modern and recently built, so nicer than some of the older hotels in Orlando that are showing age. My room was nice and spacious, it had a desk for working, a fridge, utensils, and very nice and sleek modern bathroom that was spotless. The beds were comfortable, not quite the Sheraton Four Points, but better than the beds at Universal's budget hotels. Check-in was a breeze. Most of the reviews seemed to complain about staff, but I had no issues with my visit whether it was checking in or checking out. The elevators are easy to access and I was relieved they are not filled with complicated functions that can make some more expensive hotels annoying. Parking gets pretty tight at night so be aware you might have to circle or go to a side lot to park. Parking costs about $12 a night, which isn't bad, but I wish places would end that practice, considering Orlando is not a town that you can traverse on foot or public transportation. Wi-Fi worked great, room air-conditioning blasted cold air just as desired, and my overall experience at Element was great enough that I would certainly come back and recommend it others. The hotel oversold their rooms so I was walked to another property while I was traveling alone with 2 children. No one tried to notify me in advance, they waited until I Ubered to the property to give me a typed letter letting me know I had to go to another hotel 15 mins away and further from the airport before my 6am flight. The front desk agent assured me that I would not have to give my credit card at the new hotel but that was a lie and they charged me for the night despite being told that the costs would be covered. I emailed the GM the next day and did not receive a response from anyone until I followed up 3 weeks later and got a very canned response with zero solutions. My Gold Elite Bonvoy status meant nothing to them. I've reached out to Marriott to let them know that this franchise hotel is operating this way. I do a lot of business with Marriott professionally and would never use a property owned by HHM Hotels again. Their decisions to oversell their property ruined my vacation and created additional work for me after my vacation. My kids are still traumatized by the experience. Do not book this hotel. read more

‼WOMEN AND FAMILIES BE CAREFUL‼ Over the weekend my wife, 1 year old daughter, and I were staying at the element in Orlando on I-Drive (5750 Central Florida Parkway) and at around 10-11pm we hear someone open our door and try to come in with force without knocking or announcing themselves. For the layout to understand a little better, at the end of the hallway leading to our room there is another door that is before a set of 5 rooms, we are staying in one of those rooms. You need a key to get into that door as well. I hear that door open and immediately that's when someone tried to come into our room. Fortunately, I had the secondary lock on that would stop the door unless you unlocked it from the inside. I look through the peep hole and ask "can I help you?" He responds with "maintenance" I then say "no thank you" and he rushes away quickly and leaves, testing no other doors (I know this because a minute later I opened my door and the secondary door and he was completely gone). He was looking down the whole time at the floor and wearing the company uniform except he had on black gloves and had nothing in his hand or nearby to perform this "maintenance". At this point my wife is freaked out and calls the front desk who seem very caught off guard and say that she would look into it and call us back (which after 20-30 minutes we got no call). We called back and a different lady answered and said they test all the doors to make sure the key battery is not low. Which I could understand but what I can't understand is them testing it at around 10:30 at night and only testing my door and no one else's. That seems like something you do before someone checks in or after they check out. We then call the cops and the front desk lady is at the door with the one cop who came out and she states that they have to test the doors before maintenance leaves at 10. At this point the cop steps in the room and shuts the door to talk to us privately and sends the front desk lady back down and says he will speak to her if he needs her. When he's in the room he asks what happened and I let him know the situation and he agrees with us that it is very strange and something doesn't sounds right about this, but at this time there is nothing he can really do except give us his advice. His advice was to make sure to not let this go and to call corporate. He did also say that the front desk woman was giving him different times every time he would ask her about when the maintenance men clocked out and did this "lock check". He did ask us how much longer we had at our stay, we are leaving here in the morning which he said was good. We had a terrible night sleep as my wife was on edge all night. I'm not sure if we were targeted as I left about 30-45 min prior to go get food so my wife and daughter were in the room alone for a little. In the morning we asked the front desk (a different woman than from the night before) if they do "lock checks" and randomly try to barge into people rooms, she looked at me with a very confused face and had no idea what I was talking about. I then told her I was the room that called the cops the night before and she told me that it was just a misunderstanding and that the "maintenance man" had the wrong room and was suppose to be fixing the a/c in the room next to mine. When I asked her why the night worker didn't tell the cops that and why there was no one that went next door to fix this a/c unit she had no answer for me. I then tried to speak to a manager and was told there was not one on duty and had to email them, but they would be back the next day (Monday). My wife and I then called multiple times on Monday and today (Tuesday) and keep getting the excuse that no manger is available to talk or they are in a meeting (all day). I have called corporate and they are opening a case. I tried to get my money back but since I booked this through Expedia they haven't been able to get a hold of the hotel either. My main reason for making this post is not to bash this hotel or get anything out of it. My main reason (especially being a father to a little girl) is to let everyone especially women and children/teens know to be aware and to be very cautious when staying at a Marriot location in Orlando as I feel like this is trying to get swept under the rug and something shady is going on. Generally very good accommodation, however we came down from WA to enjoy a little sun and pool time in January. Even though it was 74° out, the pool was far too cold to use comfortably (~45°). Disappointing, considering that was one of the main reasons I came on this trip. Would be great if they had an option to heat it during cooler weather. read more

I am an IT Project Manager/Engineer and have had the distinct pleasure of coming to Orlando almost every month for the last 5 years. My wife and I try out different hotels, 3 or 4 star and above , every time we come here. With so many hotels in Orlando the employees are really what "Make" the hotel. Elements on international drive, right next to SeaWorld is the new shiny Hotel we are staying in, recently built, its perfect! I hate to give this secret away but, the rooms are beautiful, clean, HD 55 inch flat TV, great water pressure in the shower, the toilet will suck you in, it's so strong, Moen faucet in the kitchenette, bed and pillows are super comfortable. Try borrowing one of their Bikes and check out the neighborhood, or jump in their pool! "Keyla" the front desk specialist is a gem, a professional at her job, well informed, polite & respectful, a delight to speak with. As the face of the hotel when you check in, Elements got themselves a winner. The morning Sous Chef "Angel" who prepares your breakfast is another charming professional, your breakfast will be fresh and tasty. I never knew what a frittata was!! The lobby is very spacious and bright, Eco friendly, it's the way hotels these days should look and run!! They recently opened up breakfast for the guests, but continue to maintain COVID cleaning practices , I was doing laundry one day and watched them clean, over and over again, so I suspect you will be safe. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite for 5 nights and absolutely loved most of it. The hotel is uber comfortable, well equipped, modern and very minimal although sometimes a bit too minimal. Lastly it needs improvement in housekeeping the fact that the hotel is less than a year old plays in favor of the "clean" comments you see. One lysol wipe at any surface area reveals a different story. PROS: complimentary made-to-order breakfast and bike rentals, genuine down bedding and pillows, filtered tap water in kitchen, XL windows and 55" tvs in both bedroom and living room, superb front desk staff, pullout sofa, two full sized closets, spacious bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, salt water pool, large gym, free hbo go and fast wifi, blackout roller shades, lots of outlets everywhere. CONS: 1) no daily housekeeping in December 2021 they are only cleaning once every seven days 2) dirty towels!! (This is real reason I gave it 3 stars else it would of been 5 stars). We bring our own bath towels but usually use the hotel towels to dry up the sink area, dry our hands and as a rug by the shower door. We requested a new set 3x each either had stains or were dingy grayish in color as if they were used for a week+. I wanted to think that they had been washed but perhaps just not properly like in bleach or a commercial grade hydrogen peroxide TIP bring towels of all sizes if you stay here 3) daily parking fees with no value - the lot is not gated, covered, monitored, or limited nor is the hotel in a premium real estate location 4) limited surface areas in the bedrooms. Let me explain...there are two night tables each about a 2ft square without drawers, there is a closet and a bed and thats it. So, no shelfs, no hooks, no dresser, no desk, no chair or sofa to place a purse, jacket, laptop, makeup etc. Do I recommend this place... absolutely, I say do stay here but, bring your own towels, lysol wipes and trash bags. This facility has been opened less than one month although the staff has it looking like they've been around for a while. Extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff all around. The rooms are very modern and spacious. Totally excellent workout facility. The downstairs area is appointed with some of the most modern furniture that I can imagine. You don't find many paper cups or plastic spoons or knives here, instead, very nice silverware and glassware abounds. The outside has a nice large pool with beautiful and comfortable recliners. There is also a very super nice splash pad for the kids. The facility ajoins the Aloft and the facilities of both are in common. The Aloft features a bar and very nice sitting tables and fireplace outside I highly recommend this entire facility. Make it a destination, you will not be disappointed. read more

Immediately ask for towels when you check in. If housekeeping actually shows every 3 days (not happening) when requested they take your towels and leave one for a suite with three people, no hand, floor, pool or gym towels. We took out our own trash, flagged down staff for simple things that should be stocked in our suite like toilet paper, soap. I felt like I was at home cleaning up my own house. Went to the bar at Aloft connected next store lobby carpet is disgusting. We were charged $4 extra per drink on our ticket so over $20 total and told the menu didn't reflect the current prices. I need to be honest and say we did not enjoy our experience at this hotel. Upon entering the room there was someone's clothes thrown in the living room which caused me to doubt the cleanliness. They were never able to get my mobile key to work which was frustrating. The front desk was always understaffed so I either couldn't find someone or was greeted with a rushed and not so nice person. The coffee machine was always broken and the grab and go breakfast did not have a non pork option so we couldn't eat it. I had a crazy allergy attack in the room like if there was cat dander (which is the only thing u an allergic to) Overall I would not recommend staying here read more
