I was very impressed with this hotel. Modern, clean and guest friendly. Free parking, great tavern and restaurant. Charging stations for EV's. Loved the night light clock in the bathroom mirror. Shower was excellent. Hotel staff was on point keeping the areas clean and fresh. Located across from the medical center if you are visiting. I would go out of my way to stay here again.

Clock in bathroom mirror is a nice touch when showering/ getting dressed and not having your phone or watch

I learned of this hotel a few years back when I ate at the restaurant (see my earlier review restaurant is amazing also). Arriving at this hotel, parking was a little confusing but I'll blame it on the construction in the area and not take a star off. The lobby, rooms and amenities were clean, modern and simple. I didn't take many pictures of the room but they were very nice. The price was kind of steep per night but not overpriced for what was offered and it being the Florida Classic weekend. I would recommend.

Nice hotel It looked new and everything was in great shape. The room was very nice and the staff was quite friendly. The restaurant was generally good and the prices were fair for the area.

My wife and I had a date night and booked this place. Excellent property, a hidden gem. Great customer service and staff, great accommodations, nice size very clean rooms with amenities. I can see why Trip Adviser and every place gives it such high ratings.

Did a search hotels in this particular area. This one stood out. Booked one night Sun-Mon. So glad we booked it. The King Deluxe was spotless, spacious and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Nice touch with movement setting off a night light mirror clock display so you can get to the bathroom with all toes intact. The decor throughout was top notch. Their bar/tavern area was ultra nice and the drinks were good and the staff friendly. We actually took a walk through the neighborhood behind the hotel and enjoyed the beautiful homes. Will definitely stay again!

I love this place. The service was great from the check in to the check out. I also ordered room service and the burger didn't impressed me. The bed is a little to soft for me but everyone else slept like a log. Everyone i met there was so friendly and helpful. Will i go back, Yessss sir indeed. Ps if you order from door dash etc they can't come up you have to go down and get your food and its just sitting on the side on the counter which makes me wonder how do they know it belongs to the person getting it. Oh well overall i enjoyed my stay

I thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay here. Next time I'm here I will stay even longer. The rooms are very modern and cozy! The staff is very friendly as well. No pool but they make up for it in the modernness of their rooms.

Beautiful hotel, the beds are plush with fine luxury linens and the bathrooms are large, modern and luxe. It is located about a mile from the Amway arena and the Dr. Phillips Performing Art Center and it has a nice restaurant below. The highlight of my stay had to be the bed and the in-room espresso machine. Parking is in a covered garage.

My room was nice, if not a bit odd. The bed was comfy. But the room seemed lacking some basic furniture. There was a huge empty space across from the couch, with just a bare wall. And there was no drawers or anyplace to put our luggage on top of or to put our clothes into - especially not for a room with 2 queen beds in it. We literally dumped our suitcases on the ground in the empty space, across from the couch which looked at... nothing! The staff was very nice. Thank you!

For the price, I would give it zero stars otherwise as rooms are in great need of updating in soundproofing. If anyone around you flushes a toilet or runs bathroom water you hear it and even in the living rooms you can hear all the traffic noise and the bedroom is closer than living room space. The bed and bathroom fixtures are updated and nice quick hot water. There is an area for coffee with microwave/refrigerator with a little countertop outside the bathroom to use which was nice. The air conditioner also works well. I wish they would modernize the couch sofa bed as it was awful feeling all the springs and made for a painful back/neck the next day. The hotel is beautiful! Every detail is done with care. The rooms, restaurants, pool, lobby, etc are all gorgeous. The staff is friendly and attentive- other than the restaurants. The only issues I ever had were with the wait staff. The service was always very slow. Whether we were at breakfast, or having drinks at the bar late at night. It was consistently very slow service. Not once did the waitstaff ever come by to offer me more coffee at breakfast. So, for service I give 3 stars. However, the bartender at the pool was wonderful! She was very nice and attentive. The valets were all great! The front desk staff were all wonderful. It's really just the waitstaff in the restaurants that need to get better. We loved our room. We had a view of the pool. I did call downstairs to ask for a magnifying mirror and a weight scale. They said they didn't have either. Fortunately they called back and did in fact have a scale and brought it up to my room. I would hope a nice hotel like this would have magnified mirrors for the bathroom. The food and drinks in the restaurants were good. No complaints. The location is great. We walked to dinner and to the nearby lake Eola. There's plenty of things to do within walking distance. I would stay here again.

They taste like fake food. I didn't like the breakfast link veggie sausages and the tomato bisque was too sweet. I'm sure those can be swapped for something way better. There was no utensil For the waffles. I forgot to ask for one but how come no one else noticed? The staff did replenish the food but not the serving spoons/tongs. They do still have an omelette bar and meat carving station and crepe station. I enjoyed all 3. Clean and organized. Not too crowded. We were able to go out and about without worrying about driving, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The hotel was easy to find, and parking is conveniently located right across the street with simple in-and-out access (though, of course, there is a parking fee -- which is never fun). Inside, the hotel is very clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff was accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was on the fifth floor, which I actually prefer when staying in a city -- the higher up, the better to avoid street noise. One of my favorite features of Embassy Suites is the room layout. The separation between the living room and bedroom is ideal, especially if someone wants to rest while others are still awake. The rooms have consistently been clean and feel very homey. Everything was great -- until Sunday morning. This is a dog-friendly hotel, which we love since we bring our dog and take her on walks so she's not stuck inside all weekend. However, checkout morning was pure chaos. One of the two elevators was out of service, it was peak checkout time, and there was also a princess pageant event happening, so the hotel was much busier than usual. Trying to get downstairs with my dog was extremely frustrating. I looked for stairs but wasn't sure if they were alarmed. When I asked an employee to confirm, she looked at me like I had five heads, which didn't help my already thin patience (I definitely did not have enough coffee for that situation). I eventually just went downstairs. Coming back up was even worse -- the line for the single working elevator was ridiculous. When I asked the front desk about the stairs, I was told they were accessible from outside. I didn't realize I needed my key card to re-enter through the outdoor stairwell (which makes total sense -- I was just aggravated at that point). After going back inside and trying again, I ended up walking up five flights of stairs with my dog. Thankfully, we had requested a late checkout, so we avoided the absolute peak of the chaos. Our friends on the third floor ended up carrying their luggage down the stairs because waiting for the elevator wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, being on the fifth floor with a lot of luggage, that wasn't really an option for us. Aside from that stressful morning, we really enjoyed our stay. The complimentary evening happy hour with drink tickets and small bites is always a highlight. We also had breakfast on Saturday morning -- and honestly, the breakfast is a major deciding factor whenever we choose to stay at a Hilton. Overall, a great stay with one very frustrating checkout experience.

The food: the bowling alley is probably one of the best food options on site (other than the Starbucks) - the salad there was actually quite good and not crazy expensive (though, everything is expensive). We also enjoyed milkshakes from the malt shop. The room was fine - we had a suite with a little kitchenette and it was spacious enough for a few days. **My only real complaint (and the reason for my lower review) was the quality of the furniture. My daughter was leaning against one of the end tables to plug something in on the other side the night before we were hitting Epic Universe early, and it collapsed below her. She fell on top of it and some portion of it punctured her leg (we think a metal pin that was poking out from one of the broken legs). We contacted hotel management, and they came with hotel security who did some basic first aid and took away the broken tables (the other one also broke from her fall). We're grateful she wasn't injured more seriously (at least that we know of yet), but it could have been so much worse if that pin had punctured a more delicate area of her body. It also definitely made the next day at the park a lot harder for her with leg pain, etc. They really need to upgrade/inspect the furniture to make sure it's safe for guests.

PRO's: -Nicely sized rooms - not huge, but not small either. I was assigned to a room with two queen beds, but it was just me, so I had an extra bed to put luggage, etc. on. -HUGE bathrooms, including a separate shower and separate bathtub, and nice amenties. -Excellent customer service - I had some ice packs I needed them to hold on to, in their freezer, and they were able to do that at the bell hop desk for me. -Ridiculously nice pool area - I was staying here for a conference and brought a swimsuit just in case, but as soon as I got to my room the first day - which they upgraded me, to a pool/lake room view, even though I don't have status with Marriott - I knew I had to try out the pool and waterslides. Luckily I had a spare hour before my conference started so I literally ate lunch and then jumped on a water slide, ha. ----There are three water slides: one you require an inner tube for, and the other two you just lay back while on it. CONs: -The area between the toilet and the toilet paper roll is super small. I am not a small person so this is probably why I had an issue, but I ended up just taking the toilet paper off the roll, because it kept hitting my thighs when I unrolled it. -The shower has a handheld area you can use or just the regular shower top (? I forget the name for that). The regular top doesn't have great water pressure, so I ended up using the handheld thing and just keeping it pointed towards me. They have a sign up in the lobby saying that Forbes chose them as one of the nicest properties in the world, I believe, and I can see why. They also have a few restaurants on site, as well as a Starbucks, but most of my meals were included at my conference; I did get Doordash the first day I was there, though. Be aware that for the Starbucks you cannot order ahead on the app, though, and the lines are often long (especially with conferences going on, and there were two while I was staying there, including ours!). I would definitely stay at this hotel again - I wasn't paying for the bill this time but I believe it is rather pricey normally, though.

The JW Marriott definitely looks and feels like a high-end property. The hotel is polished,…read moreattractive, and has the upscale atmosphere you expect from the brand. That said, the price point is definitely on the high side, so expectations naturally go up with it. For me, the biggest disconnect was the service level, which felt more fair than exceptional. Nothing was terrible, but it did not really match the luxury pricing or the overall image of the property. When you are paying premium rates, you expect service that stands out, and this felt a little more average than memorable. Overall, it is a nice hotel, but at this price level I was hoping for a stronger service experience.
