What a romantic stay at one of my favorite local hotels in Orlando. After a night out , we booked a room to have a relaxing weekend of just us and it was a really nice way to wind down. We had a beautiful king bedroom with beautiful view of downtown. We ordered room service and also enjoyed a night cap in the hot tub. The Sunday brunch was phenomenal and so was the couples massage. We already booked another weekend stay and I'm looking forward to it. Perfect staycation hotel as it's right near lake Eola, church street and the dr Phillips center. read more

What a lovely hotel! We did enjoy staying here. All the employees were so friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and nice, good options for breakfast at the lounge and downstairs restaurant. The only downside - valet parking only, and the bathroom didn't have ventilation. After shower it was just way too hot and steamy. We would definitely come back! read more

My husband had a conference in Orlando. So he was here on business, but I was here on vacation. His company had about a dozen rooms. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. The hotel is beautiful! Every detail is done with care. The rooms, restaurants, pool, lobby, etc are all gorgeous. The staff is friendly and attentive- other than the restaurants. The only issues I ever had were with the wait staff. The service was always very slow. Whether we were at breakfast, or having drinks at the bar late at night. It was consistently very slow service. Not once did the waitstaff ever come by to offer me more coffee at breakfast. So, for service I give 3 stars. However, the bartender at the pool was wonderful! She was very nice and attentive. The valets were all great! The front desk staff were all wonderful. It's really just the waitstaff in the restaurants that need to get better. We loved our room. We had a view of the pool. I did call downstairs to ask for a magnifying mirror and a weight scale. They said they didn't have either. Fortunately they called back and did in fact have a scale and brought it up to my room. I would hope a nice hotel like this would have magnified mirrors for the bathroom. The food and drinks in the restaurants were good. No complaints. The location is great. We walked to dinner and to the nearby lake Eola. There's plenty of things to do within walking distance. I would stay here again. read more

There was a giant roach walking in.... We should have taken it as the omen it was. Room was filthy dirty and not what we paid for (they "offered" hard sold an upgrade didn't receive. We had security knocking on the door at 5:45pm for a noise complaint ? We had no music or tv turned on soooo??? All blondes in the room but this black hair ball in the entry... when we brought it up to the front desk, they passive aggressively refused to give us the Manager's phone number eventually when I directly stated that they told me to press zero in the morning after nine at which time we would already be gone because we are on our way to Disney. Would not stay here again or pretty much any Marriott property. read more

**Review for The Boheme restaurant** We loved the fresh crab legs, shrimp and unlimited mimosas. There was live music being played on a piano. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I visited for brunch. (It's been years) Most of the food is still good. There were only a handful of things that I didn't like. The breakfast potatoes were cold and just not good. They taste like fake food. I didn't like the breakfast link veggie sausages and the tomato bisque was too sweet. I'm sure those can be swapped for something way better. There was no utensil For the waffles. I forgot to ask for one but how come no one else noticed? The staff did replenish the food but not the serving spoons/tongs. They do still have an omelette bar and meat carving station and crepe station. I enjoyed all 3. Clean and organized. Not too crowded. I was a little concerned about the temperature of the oysters on the half shell. If this brunch is going to last, it could use some improvement. After all, It's not a cheap brunch. read more

Wonderful check in. Delay due to tech issue, front staff was apologetic and offered a small voucher for the inconvenience. The vibe and decor was gorgeous but there stains on the bathroom counter that made it look like it hadn't been cleaned and when cleaning there could be more attention paid to details. Places with dust and in between cracks in bathroom a build up. In downtown but personally didn't get to explore that area much. read more

Although I did not stay in this hotel, I did experience the brunch on a Sunday afternoon. It is good to make a reservation just in case because it can get quite busy. This is my first time here and I was quite impressed with the unlimited amount of seafood for this brunch. The price is pretty expensive, but I do think that it is good to experience at least once or twice out of the year or a special occasion. The star of the show was the beef brisket and the crabs unlimited! Other food items were good and a lot of options to choose from. We arrived about an hour before the close of brunch and they will stop bringing food out so just be mindful of that and arrive early. Love the ambience touch of the jazz live band playing and customer service was friendly and attentive. We do not drink alcohol alcoholic drinks for the unlimited mimosas but we asked if we could get a virgin and he made something for us special and it was delicious. The Bohemian is such an amazing beautiful chic spot for Sunday brunch!!The food was prepared and presented perfectly. A pianist, saxophonist and drummer skillfully performed as we enjoyed the delectable selections from the buffet. I believe the price point is fair especially for the food options offered. The very nice relaxing ambiance coupled with the attentive and skilled staff made this experience even more enjoyable. The property is absolutely stunning. The main lobby bar had excellent drink and quality service. I checked in around 1pm because my marriott bonvoy app said our room was ready at 10 am. Upon checking in I was advised there would be a $50 early check in fee-- when the room was already ready?! Later, I received a texted thanking us for checking in from Manager Mohammed. I expressed back via text the dissatisfaction of learning of a early check in fee when the room was already ready and received a response back saying it would be waived. I checked out the following morning following up with this waiver of fee- and the front desk clerk has no record of it. She then spoke to Manager Mohammed - who reviewed my text also having no idea about it (clearly an AI generated text) and couldnt be bother with it stating to the front desk clerk " I guess remove it" No apology , nothing from either employee. How does staff- including a manager whom a text was supposedly sent from not now about this service they have? If I didnt inquire about it - i would have been charged! Prior to checking out we completed a valet service via the app - advising we were checking and requesting out car be retrieved. 30 minutes later out car was brought out after asking multiple times and was told each time "someone is getting it" Only to finally ask again and THEN the same individual who told us someone was getting it actually pulled our keys. and we paid $42 for this service. While I love this property and I know they are re branding soon- I will NOT be back. This is not the Marriott way. read more

We stayed at this hotel on Thanksgiving & the day after. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are stunning & they were clean. There's a hotel bar & a rooftop bar. We had drinks at both places. My only issue was a chicken Caesar salad, the chicken was hard and dried out. The salad dressing was divine, but the protein was messed up. read more

One would think a bartender in a high end establishment would have some class, but as we sat down she said "you'll be sitting there for 45 minutes to get a drink." Do better Grand Bohemian. A great spot for a conference. We had a group of about 60 people and the food servers and conference support were great. The dinner options onsite are ok, but depending on the day/time, you may find yourself waiting a VERY long time. The bar staff do a nice job keeping customers "happy" but that only buys so much time. They will also change your cocktail from one to the next (different garnish, different mixers, so make sure you are aware and clear if you're going to be ok with that or not! read more

We had lunch at the Hotel restaurant. We had not been there before & expected to be impressed. We ordered the Burrata appetizer, and after the tantalizing description with its prosciutto & melons, (and price tag) we had high hopes. Wrong. The prosciutto was burnt to a shattering crisp and the 6 one-half inch pieces of melon were no bonus. Yawn. Then, I ordered the fish sandwich, which was a little piece of grilled fish on a big (yummy) fluffy bun, with a dab of slaw on it. Again, yawn. So much for that upscale idea... read more

My spouse and I had a good, brief stay here for an event at the Dr. Philips Center -- years after having some disappointment at this hotel. And speaking of the Dr. Phillips Center, it would be nearly impossible for the Grans Bohemian to be in a more convenient location; we could see the venue from our window! Our room itself was mostly wonderful; the decor was fun but felt lighter and airier (in a very good way) than it did on our previous stay. Most of the room was in excellent shape, and the bed and couch were quite comfortable. The issues: one big, dark stain on the carpet near the bed, a smaller stain near the entertainment center, and one pillow case with a stain on it. We didn't notice these issues until we were heading to bed after 11, and we didn't feel like it was worth contacting the desk over. The other detracting factor was hearing the din of music from somewhere despite being on the top floor. A refrigerator beyond the minibar would be nice, too. The staff was excellent! (This was also a big improvement over our prior stay.) Someone reached out before I arrived to see if I had any special requests, and the check-in staff were friendly and easy to work with upon arrival. Carpet maintenance issues aside, I'd definitely stay here for another event downtown. read more

Overall we had a great stay. The hotel is very modern and nicely decorated. The room was as well and very spacious. I was impressed and felt it was a great value. We went to see a show and this hotel is right next door so very convenient. We were able to walk back and forth. We also walked to dinner at the steakhouse on Church Street. After dinner we went to the pool/patio bar. I am giving this review 4 out of 5 stars because of the female bartender at the pool bar on the Saturday night we stayed. She was awful. She ignored us more than once, didn't pay attention to what we asked for (for example, we ordered a white and a red wine and after pouring the white asked what my husbands order was again), and made us wait every time we went back and she wasn't filling any other orders. She was actively disengaged with her job and perhaps the most unfriendly bartender that I have ever met. Never a smile or an attempt to be pleasant. We were never approached to be asked if we would like another or anything else. For our third and final order of the night, she was away from the bar and I asked the male bartender for a final round and our check. He said he would bring our wine to where we were sitting. Something she hadn't offered and I didn't think was an option. He was hustling the entire time we had been there but he was serving the other side of the bar. He seemed wonderful. You should consider finding him a new partner at the pool bar because our tip reflected her service and I'm sure he's loosing money when he works with her and she's probably getting an inflated amount of tips from all the work he is doing. Very unfortunate because she was truly awful. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and I would and will stay here again. read more

Stayed here one night. The staff was very nice. Everyone from the valets to the front desk staff. Beds were extremely comfortable to sleep in. Rooms are very spacious and bathrooms are as well. The rooftop pool bar is also very nice. The bartender was great. Sadly it was a little cold and we couldn't enjoy it as we wanted to, but that is something that cannot be controlled. I am not able to give it 5 Stars because 1. the lamps and alarm clock were dusty. Since it's such a nice hotel, I expect it to be cleaned spotlessly. 2. The walls are very thin. The gentleman in the room next to us must have had a rough night and we could hear him use the bathroom all through the night. I guess we just got unlucky with our neighbor but the walls are not insulated very well. Overall we had a nice time. The lounge downstairs is beautiful as well. read more

Stayed at the Grand Bohemian to watch the U S Olympic Marathon trials. This hotel is in a great location. It is walkable to many restaurants and its so easy to go on a run from the hotel door. The hotel itself is newer and very clean. We did have the opportunity to check out the pool bar. It was super relaxing there. They also have a full Starbucks in the hotel. Staff overall were very friendly during our stay. We had no problem getting both a late checkout and checking our bags before we left for the airport. If in downtown Orlando, I would definitely stay in this hotel again. read more

Easy check in and check out. Rooms were nice, quiet, and comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job and if your timing was such that you missed the regular service go around it was easy to ask for a specific sweep of your room. It was fun seeing all the players at the hotel for Shaquille O'Neal's number 32 retirement--but no, I did not get to meet him in person. Valet is tight, but they do a great job of turning cars around quickly. There was only one time out of a week's worth of ins and outs where I needed to ask more than once. The "rooftop" pool is on the 6th floor. Not quite the 15th floor roof, but it works. They have live entertainment there at times and the only downsides are the size (it is relatively small) and service (it is relatively slow). Additionally, I was impressed with the location. Some great eats are a short walk away. Easy to get on to the highways going north or south. However, thank goodness for navigation as without it the ease of getting to and from would be a completely different story! read more

It's been several years since I've done Sunday Brunch here and it was good to be back. Items available on the menu include: prime rib carved to order; steaming crab legs (quite large on this Sunday!); peel and eat shrimp (my friends raved on them); oysters on the half shell; various pastries and bread/muffins; and scrambled eggs, bratwurst sausage, and fingerling potatoes. A jazz pianist and singer provided the musical accompaniment while you browsed over your selections. A special shout out to the excellent service from Adele ("Hello, it's me"), who was one of our servers and ALWAYS made sure our bottomless mimosas remained bottomless through 2 hours! Her quick wit and funny repartee also added to the enjoyment of the day. The prime rib carver, Bobbie (hope I spelled that correctly!) was also a standout! She made us laugh, took our pictures when requested and made sure we were well taken care of throughout. Great job, ladies! The only reason I cannot give 5 stars and a major bummer of the afternoon, had to deal with the service after Bobbie and Adele left their shifts. From 3pm to almost 5, we were finishing up our mimosas and water as well as our conversations. NOT ONCE, did the afternoon bar servers come up to ask us if we needed anything nor did they clean off our dessert plates or empty glasses. The new shift servers acted as if we were not even there. So, be careful. If they sit you in the bar area for Brunch, be sure to get out a little after 3pm because you will not be noticed. read more

We had a nice overnight stay here for the Citrus Bowl. We indicated on the reservations that we were going to arrive early and had hoped they would have a room ready for us since check in for hotels are usually around 3-4 pm. We arrived at 9:45am and it was so amazing we had a room on the 10th floor away from the elevator. My husband did the check-in so I didn't pay attention to who was helping us but the staff was super nice and friendly. We were also offered a water bottle at check-in. While some might think this place is weird or dark or gothic...the hotel is called bohemian for a reason! LOL I personally love the eccentric paintings, unique decor, different colors. The entrance to the hotel for parking was a little tricky since a couple of streets were closed off and we had to do a couple of loops before finding the entrance to get into the valet area. The valet area was a little claustrophobic since it was busy but we got assistance immediately and the valet staff was great. In the morning when we checked out, we called to the front desk to get the car a few minutes before we headed down and it was perfect. The car was already out and ready for us. Yes, parking is $30/night+ tip but to not have to worry about parking in a public lot and having to walk over. I don't know. I guess if you want to save a few bucks, then there are a lot of different parking options around. The only low points in the stay was the random fire alarm around 8:30pm that was a false alarm and the wifi there was pretty terrible that I just decided not to use their wifi. I also didn't love that they are still using small bottles for shampoo and conditioner. A lot of the Marriott hotels have converted to the full bottles attached to the shower wall to reduce waste of plastic. read more

If you are looking to stay at this hotel because you want a nice boutique experience with a pool and bar, be aware of how poor my experience was! Our stay was for 2 nights checking in on Friday. Friday afternoon and dinner was great. Our room was fine. Then at 10:15 on Saturday morning we get a text message saying the entire pool and pool bar would be closed until 6pm because of a private party. The front desk said we coud trek a block or 2 to use the pool at ALoft, but that pool looked pathetic. They could have informed us before we came or when we checked in that this was going to happen, but they didn't want us to cancel. When I asked to speak to the manager, it took 2 hours and me stalking the front desk before I got a response. Even then he wouldn't come out from behind the wall to speak with me face-to-face. The whole day ended up being burned before there was an opportunity to move to a different hotel. All of this was because the hotel had a private birthday party that was very loud outside our window. Find another hotel you dont want this experience and horrible management response. read more

Do Not Stay Here. Have lunch, have a drink enjoy the piano dude. Downstairs is a Marriott. Upstairs is a dive motel at best. My carpet looked like ten dogs peed there. Threw away my socks before putting on clean ones before putting on shoes. Kid you not someone was cooking hamburgers down the hall. Then the surrounding neighborhood looks worse than the west side of Chicago. Apparently after the bars let out the entire downtown turns into a fart can car race track. I checked out about 3:30 AM. Couldn't take it anymore. Didn't even make it 12 hours ! DON'T STAY HERE. read more

I came here with about 25 - 30 friends to connect and have drinks with my artist cohort after presenting at Dr. Philips Center in June. Originally we headed for the roof top and that closes at 10pm which was disappointing. The bar downstairs was filled with a wedding party and the only option we had was the rotunda when you enter. It was the perfect setting for our little group. We had a waitress who attended to all our needs and she was kind and helpful. She had a wonderful attitude. I hope my party tipped her well. And I noticed the drinks were in overflow. The hotel in the heart of downtown is stunning and I was excited to do our meet and greet here. I'll be returning again with my boyfriend and some friends to check the roof top and have dinner at the restaurant on the ground floor. Brad Pitt in "Oceans 12" makes a comment about hotels being run like a hotel should be run. This is not the Grand Bohemian. Which is a shame. The rooms are lovely. The staff is wonderful. Seriously - amazing staff! The food in the main dining room and the pool area is so delish. And great cocktails. So why should you hesitate?! Because some marketing dude continually books promos at the super-small pool area which entails REALLY LOUD MUSIC which can be heard on any room facing the pool (even 5 floors up) and THREE BLOCKS AWAY. Whoever is allowing this - stop it. Your staff is being berated by angry guests through no fault of theirs. We will not book here again. We'll take a crappy hotel with QUIET ROOMS over this place. read more

Yesterday they open the new pool and bar in the 6th floor which was a great add to the Bohemian Hotel in dow town Orlando. We had the chance to taste some of their food and drinks and the place rocks!! Is an oasis in the middle of downtown where you dont hear any noise at all. I'll start this review by saying that I am a huge fan of Marriott's Autograph collection! This property did not disappoint! It had the modern, artsy feel throughout. We were upgraded to a suite on check in and it was spacious, clean and appeared very much so recently renovated. The bed was comfortable and you have the option via the app to request additional feather or foam pillows. We did not dine at the hotel restaurant nor visit the hotel bar but it was certainly popping on a Friday night! The true gems during our visit were Madison and Armand at the front desk. We ordered sushi which arrived without soy sauce and Madison went above and beyond to have soy sauce delivered to the room. They also provided recommendations of things to do and eat in the surrounding neighborhood which we found very helpful. I really enjoyed staying Downtown Orlando and would highly recommend to anyone planning on traveling to the area or looking for a staycation. read more

The Grand Bohemian should be an upscale hotel and this last experience has completely downgraded it. Maybe because there is a pool lounge now? The 6th floor pool area is open basically to the public as you don't need a key to get there. I have stayed here a couple times and this last time has really changed my rating. The pool is small and so is the bathing area but if it is not really crowded it should be fine. During my last stay there was a group of drunks for two days straight day drinking, taking over the entire pool, bathing area and being loud and obnoxious. There was nowhere to swim or sit unless you wanted to bump into them. Regardless of the time the outdoor bar opened they were out there being drunk. The pool also shut down for a few hours because of a private event one night, which is disappointing because you are paying a good amount of money for the pool to be open and enjoyable. The drunks never left the pool so you know they were probably peeing in there too and I never saw pool maintenance once to clean up. I love this hotel but the pool situation really was a downside and the drunk people that were there really brought down the experience and will deter me from staying here again :( read more

Had a great experience from being seated by Hunter who has a lot on the ball, is obviously interested in his job and has a wonderful bedside manner. Raquel W. was my server who was incredibly attentive who recommended the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had ....
