I went into Element with moderate expectations and left genuinely impressed. For the price point, this hotel punches way above its weight class. The rooms are modern and functional. The rooftop pool is a nice surprise, and the gym was vibing. The real bonus is being connected to Le Meridien. You get access to all the dining options and amenities without paying the Le Meridien price tag. That's what I call financial responsibility. Or hotel hacking. Same thing. read more

This was a great experience for a very affordable price. The element hotel is a cobranded site with Le meridian. It's a newly developed project called the new West End. It's very near the Delta center and the Gateway downtown and the convention center so super convenient for all things downtown Salt Lake. The light rail is nearby as well as the bus and you can walk to the Harmon's grocery store in 15 minutes if that's something that you need On site, they have a restaurant and a rooftop patio bar area that offer spectacular views. The entire property feel very well done and lean towards high-end finishes. A single king room with a small kitchen that was very well organized. Room has lots of lighting and plenty of outlets for all of your devices a big flatscreen TV which I never used and a small speaker near the bed. The bed and linens and pillows were all very comfortable. These rooms only have showers not tubs, but that seems fine. Parking options are ballet, Self Park Street parking and you can get a more affordable rate at an adjacent convention center parking lot. If you happen to be platinum level or higher with Marriott Bonvoy, you have access to free breakfast on the second level, which is one step above continental. I think the only disappointment of the entire trip was they offer lots of bread and toasted bread items and no butter There is a little marketplace adjacent to the check-in desk. The rooftop pool has spectacular views as does the gym which is well appointed there are restrooms and showers on the pool level. Overall, I thought this was a great stay and will return. read more

There are not too many great spaces to stay if you have to stay in SLC (we were there for a concert) and not Park City..but Element did the trick. We debated between them and Le Meridian and are glad we went with Element-the hotels share a ton, but the Element's pool is nicer. Our room was clean and comfortable, with mountain and city fees. Service was friendly. We probably won't be back to SLC in the near future, but would stay here again. read more

The stay was amazing. The rooms were big and the beds were comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. There were a couple downsides though. The breakfast was not the best. On a week long road trip from Las Vegas through Yellowstone National Park. Family and I stayed here on our first stop and this room was fantastic. Easily accessible in town, friendly and accommodating staff and the room was incredible. Bigger than my first apartment. I never thought I'd be posting something like this... My engagement ring from 1890 went missing during our stay at Element Salt Lake City Downtown. I reported it immediately. I called multiple times. I asked for a manager again and again. No one called me back. Had someone taken action the first time I called, the room, vacuums, and trash could have been searched before another guest checked in. That didn't happen. Police report filed Calls documented Corporate contacted Still no response. This ring is irreplaceable -- and the lack of urgency and empathy has been devastating. We travel often and have always trusted Marriott... but this experience has completely shaken that. I stayed here a few nights for work. The rooms were fine and clean. The kitchenette is nicely stocked. The hotel itself is pretty and nicely decorated. My biggest grievance is how loud the environment is when you are in your room. My room was one room away from the elevator and I could not believe how loud it was. Every elevator chime rung out clear to me and every door slammed felt like it was my own door slamming. After my first night, I asked the front desk in the morning if I could move rooms. The person who helped me made it seem like it wouldn't be an issue but asked that I check in with the front desk when I returned from work. When I returned from work that day, I checked in as I was told to and the person I spoke with clicked around furiously on the computer for over 5 minutes. She made a phone call where she spoke with no one. Eventually she very shortly just said, I'm sorry there is nothing I can do. I told her that was fine but that I would like some ear plugs. She pointed at the convenience shop area and advised that I could purchase them. I mean, we're talking a nicer Marriott hotel that doesn't have complimentary ear plugs? It's the least you could do to accommodate my pregnant ass if you couldn't move me rooms. Anyway, I was super disappointed by this level of customer service. I am not sure I would consider staying at this location again. read more

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel! The hotel is clean. The common areas had a lot of outlets that made working remotely very convenient. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. They included a full fridge, microwave, sink, and dishware, making my stay extremely convenient. They have a complimentary breakfast, including fresh omelets made to order. The hotel served cheese, bread, and drinks in the afternoon, and lastly, the hotel served 3 kinds of hot herbal teas in the evening. The fitness area is well equipped with Life Fitness machines, free weights, kettlebells, bands, and mats for yoga or stretching. Fabulous rooftop pool/bar/fitness center with 360-degree views of the Wasatch front and downtown SLC and multiple solid dining options on-premise or within a block of the lobby. Laundry is available on site, and they provide detergent as well as dryer sheets and can provide quarters for cash exchange. Parking is available and accessible, and the security is excellent for parking within the building. Although a little pricier than elsewhere. The location is convenient for downtown, the convention center, and the basketball stadium. It is an easy light rail train ride from the airport with a short walk to the hotel from the stop. Stayed at the Element Westin for 3 nights and had a pleasant experience. It's a newer hotel with a modern trendy decor. The front desk employees were super friendly and check in was easy. My phone was not working inside my room when I tried to call the front desk. The gym was new clean and has great equipment including free weights. It also has an amazing view . There was a beautiful pool. Unfortunately due to the weather I was unable to use it. The mornings have complimentary breakfast that start as early as 6:30AM. They have an automatic latte/espresso machine as well as a yogurt bar with fresh fruit and hot food. Depending on what day you're here, they had an omelette bar where you can place. They have a complimentary beer and wine happy hour. This was a daily parking fee. There is a small restaurant that is shared with the neighborinf hotel in the lobby. Each room has a mini kitchenette that has a microwave, a fridge, a sink and filter water to drink. The bed was super soft and comfy. Overall, it was a great experience. Would recommend read more

Another wonderful stay at an Element hotel. My second one and it was awesome from check in to check out. The rooms are really nice and spacious. The beds super comfy with really nice down comforters. Had two great nights sleep here. Bathrooms are big and clean. We had a suite, which had a nice little couch living area and a kitchenette which had all the all the necessities. Nice closet, tvs, and all round just a great room. Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of the room. The full breakfast comes with the room complementary. It's a awesome array of food with freshly made to order omelettes, and one day we had crepes too. Great yogurt bar, sweet pastries, cereals, oatmeal, roasted potatoes, they also had a nice cappuccino maker. Again very clean and well kept. Situated right in downtown, you can walk to the light rail, delta center, and many other places. Close to many restaurants too. They have their own French place called Adelaide. Also a rooftop bar Van Ryder. They also a few days a week offer wine and cheese evenings complementary. I can't say enough good things about this place, it's also fairly new, with great decor. The whole lobby smelled like ham sandwiches, not a very inviting smell you would expect from a Marriott Bonvoy hotel, where the lobby scent is light fresh and clean. Seriously it was awful smelling. Service all around was terrible. The front desk gal (5/10/25 9am) was extremely unhelpful and annoyed. I needed valet assistance and she says "I don't know; I can't help with the valet". Awful tone and demeanor. What hotel doesn't allow you to call down beforehand and let valet know you're about to leave. Probably won't be coming back here. read more

After staying at three different hotels during our trek across Utah...this hotel was the most beautiful however the staff was the worst. We are Marriott Elite members and have stayed at a number of Marriotts and never have experienced such rudeness. Not sure if the front desk girl was having a bad day or that is her normal unpleasant disposition. The highlights are this hotel is almost brand new. They have a happy hour which starts at 5:30 which consists of a white and red wine option, bread, and cheese. There is also a hot tea service in the evening which includes two glass pots to serve yourself and it's cute. The pool at the top is phenomenal with a breathtaking view of the city. Pool is open until 11pm and probably the best pool we experienced on this trip. Exercise room is open 24 hours with a variety of machines. Rooms with wooden floors, spa like showers, space, mini kitchen and other amenities were nice. The not so great part was the receptionist upon checking in. Understandably it was busy. We asked about parking and were told $22/day...a little steep but maybe it's because it's in underground secured. She gave us a tag to hang on our mirror. She appeared very short like we were inconveniencing her. We went to our car and tried to use our key card but that did not work. So we ended up pulling a ticket. Then we realized the girl only gave us one room key. Walking back to the desk we asked for another key and said we could not figure out how to get in the parking lot. The receptionist said very rudely,"I told you multiple times, you need to use the car tag I gave you. The one you hang on your mirror." Well she did not say it and honestly could she be nicer? Fine, we were not going to push it. We went to our room and noticed it was right near the elevator. We could hear the elevator "ting" sound and people talking through the door. We went down again to request another room away from the elevator. Omg..she said the hotel was booked. Okay..parking lot was clearly not full as you saw from parking lot and lobby. Fine again. As we left the hotel later to walk outside she just appeared very unfriendly with no greetings to guests. She made the stay uncomfortable and unpleasant. I feel like though staying at a hotel and paying for a place to rest while on a trip it's the entire package. The facilities and the service. It's the total package. In the future we will not return to this establishment. Marriott needs to retrain their staff here to handle guests as they are in the service industry. I really was not going to review this place based on the experience but maybe Marriott will take a look at this review and try to do their guests better. read more

Just checked in Element Moab. Our room is great but they are pumping chemicals ('fragrance') in the lobby of each floor with some horrible smelling strong scent. Hotels need to learn that many people have asthma and cannot tolerate these chemicals also known as fragrances. I've had to use my inhaler twice since we got here which is not good. It's so dangerous for asthma sufferers. I have to cover my nose and mouth just to walk down the hall and wait on the elevator. Other guests on the elevator have complained too. read more

I just finished checking into the hotel. We were lied to about the size of the room and the number of beds. We went down to speak to the front desk person and asked to speak to the hotel manager. The pullout bed doesn't even work. The front desk lady went behind the door and spoke to the hotel manager, I could hear her and the manager speaking. She came back out to come inform me that the manager was not available. This hotel is poorly run, they misrepresent their rooms, and is staffed by liars. I would not recommend anyone to stay and this hotel and would recommend a major overhaul to the management staff. Edit: the management girl was left at the front desk without her manager, she was so nice, but she was basically ditched there by her staff. Everything was great. After a lonnggggg road trip, my sister and I checked in, but then immediately went to eat at the restaurant located on the premises. I believe it's The Adelaide (sp?). The food was DELICIOUS and our server was a sweet young gentleman, who mentioned he was fairly new to the job. He gave us great service and always acknowledged us as "Friends ", not "Ladies". He made our dining experience a wonderful one. I think his name was Isai. The hotel was conveniently located in a super bustling area. The delta center was right there, plus a very short walk to the mall. If I find myself venturing back to Salt Lake City, I'll be staying at Element! read more

If you are traveling for a work trip, just save yourself the headache with and stay elsewhere. They create a billing nightmare by simply not paying attention to and monitoring incoming communications. 10 days later and the charges are still incorrect even after regular communication with them, and they don't care. Electrical is spotty and unreliable. Had to have maintenance in my room twice to deal with their breakers tripping . WiFI won't connect while you're on property. read more

The hotel itself and our room was great and have no complaints in that regard. The rooftop pool is also amazing. That being said, the service/staff at this location is abysmal. We were told we'd get a phone call when our room was ready, over two hours went by with no call (we originally checked in around 2:45pm). When we came back to the hotel to check in once again, the staff working was incredibly rude and said nothing about the long wait, that the room had been ready for a while, and just gave us the room keys with no conversation/mention of the wait. When we asked to get our bags from where they were being held with us, the woman working practically threw my friend's duffle bag and back pack on the floor with no regard the luggage or anything in it. Staff never said hello or goodbye when coming in/leaving. I've stayed at many Marriotts and never had less than incredibly friendly service.
