Complimentary beer wine cheese Monday-Thursday 5-6:30

Happy hour from 5-6:30 Monday- Thursday. GENEROUS. Two types of beer, red, white, and bread and cheese platter. Great place to hang out (games). Comfortable rooms. Loved the value on sustainability (toilets even had two flushing settings to minimize water use when appropriate). Location close to Hanover. There is a margaritas a 3 minute drive away which we brought in and ate in front of the tv after a long day of hiking. Also plenty of pizza and Thai places will deliver.

Overall, great stay. Rooms were fantastic and the hotel was designed well with a slew of activities. However, the FD supervisor gave us wrong directions one night and the hotel was less than enthusiastic to let me participate in SPG Keyless (one of the coolest programs out there in the industry right now I think). Breakfast is chaotic with families of all sorts sprawled across the lobby so it might be a better idea to dine from your room. But trust me, the rooms are an oasis, with bathrooms nicer than those at the W Hotels, and more space than you could ever need. Definitely plan to hit this hotel up again!

This was a pleasant surprise. Brand New, Modern, super clean, super comfortable and very accommodating. I could not have been happier with my stay. I travel a lot for work and this is by far the nicest hotel I have stayed in for a while. Being brand new helps of course. There is not yet a sign on the road and the street is new as well so your GPS might not pick it up, but it says Element on the side of building which you can see from the road. Highly recommended!!!

So I gave this visit 4 stars for many reasons and luckily those reasons were dominant enough to not…read moreallow the negative experiences during our stay here impact that. Hubs and several of his colleagues were staying here for business they were conducting at Dartmouth for the week. I came along but worked virtually from the hotel room during our stay. We arrived really late our first night after a brutal 5 hour drive. We were wired but tired. It was nice because the hotel was very quiet. We both had work early in the morning and had a good night sleep. Neither of us had breakfast here throughout the week based on busy work schedules, the breakfast was an extra fee, and all the reviews were bad. In regard to the negative aspects, was primarily due to bar and front desk staff. Our second night, hubs joined his coworkers at the hotel bar upon their return from their work dinner. I met them shortly after. They close the bar really early and it took forever to be acknowledged to order my first drink. The bartender kept walking away from the bar. By the time I finally was able to order my drink, the rest of our crew was ready for their second round. It was close to closing and we all just wanted another drink but it was impossible to grab his attention and we found out it was due to the system going down. This was going on for an hour. We had a different bartender our 3rd night and he was fabulous. He exactly like Keegan-Michael Key but we only saw him one night. I think it was our last night that we decided to eat dinner at the bar. I guess there are a lot of regulars there because many of the patrons were familiar with the staff. While we were sitting at the bar, the young front desk girl disappeared for a good hour. Guests were trying to check in and our bartender left several times trying to look for her. It was a mess. Now mind you, there is nothing within walking distance of this hotel where you can get food or alcoholic beverages. I think the market in the lobby had like 4 beers stocked that night and once those were sold, they never restocked it-for the remainder of our stay. One of my favorite factors were the free water for Hilton Honors members was Poland Spring! It's my favorite and they stocked that daily in the market! We requested a late check out so we could pack after a week's stay and not feel rushed for a 5 hour drive. It was a miracle for once and housekeeping did not knock before our late checkout time! I was so appreciative of that!

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the property was quiet throughout our stay. One of our rooms had already been updated, and the new décor and bathrooms look great. The only oddity was the tiny refrigerator placed on the floor instead of in the usual built‑in alcove you find at other Courtyards. Our second room hadn't been renovated yet, and the older bathroom definitely showed its age by comparison. We also ran into an issue where the TVs kept reverting back to the Marriott welcome channel every 5-10 minutes, which made watching anything a bit frustrating. Even with those quirks, we enjoyed our stay and would return. Once the renovations are complete, I could easily see this being a 5‑star review instead of a 4.

I'm not looking for anything like a happy ending... the real basics were there but unfinished. The breakfast room was big and pretty cool, well decorated, clean, meeting rooms and pool area stylish and high ceilings. Staff was kind and hardworking. The facility looked well maintained. The fish in the pond were alive... the fireplace was lit but not roaring. There were no managers anywhere in range to address the idea that the food at breakfast was running out... and it wasn't even that great. Canned fruit cocktail - fully picked through down to the pears, no breakfast meats, scrambled eggs clearly from a mix, milk empty, and... odd food setup, not conducive to easy access... waffle maker on the opposite side of the big room up a set of steps. I'm not disabled, but very large group of older people there... big group... kinda sad the staff didn't have the presence of mind or leadership support to plan for a big group and make em really feel well taken care of. A tiny bit of forethought in planning for a big group, prepping the staff who was there, ordering enough food and then getting it ready plenty early... The missing link was leadership. So, this place has potential. They could have a box of umbrellas for borrow. They could have put up an omelet or fresh eggs cook station with an actual breakfast cook. Space was available but NOTHING made me say "Hey wow ... I'll come back here"

Though it would've been nice to have had a view of the Green, the quiet midweek view of Main St was nice. The room was west-facing, so the sun shone in during the afternoons. No matter the setting, the a/c never quite got the room cool; it was a bit warm during the overnight, even after removing the unnecessary blanket from the bed. A few minor housekeeping issues in the room were quickly taken of after a quick call to reception, though turndown wasn't offered until the final night (didn't realize it was even available -- be sure to ask if that's important to you)! The slippers were nice and plush, and bathrobes (didn't use, see temperature note, above) were also available. There was a convenient bedside iHome wireless charger/digital alarm clock; unfortunately, it failed to charge my phone one night. Coffee was available in the lobby hallway every morning, and in the afternoon/evening, cookies!. A Lavazza pod coffeemaker was in the room along with a couple of tea bags as well, but no kettle. The onsite Pine Restaurant was quite popular. Note that folks eat early here; the restaurant was quiet by 8:30 pm (maybe also because it was midweek in summer). The bar area was quite spacious, though, and outdoor seating was available. Easy walk through town, to the Co-op (there was a small drawer refrigerator in the room), for retail shopping, and visiting the Dartmouth College campus (don't miss the Hood Art Museum, open Wed-Sat). Some restaurants in Hanover were also closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and mobile phone service was sparse in town. The free Advance Transit bus service made for easy visits to the King Arthur Bakery & Cafe and for a talk at the Lebanon Opera House.
