They told me it was in the early stages, handed me a bottle of vitamins, and said there was nothing else they could do. Knowing that my father had gone blind from macular degeneration, I was terrified. I couldn't just accept their advice and walk away. Determined to find another option, I started researching. A friend reached out and told me about a treatment I hadn't considered--acupuncture. I was incredibly fortunate to find an acupuncturist right here in Saint George. From my very first consultation, I felt completely at ease. He took the time to listen, explain everything, and even shared that he himself had been managing macular degeneration for 16 years, keeping it at bay. After several treatments, I recently had a thorough eye exam with an ophthalmologist, who told me that my retinas looked excellent and everything else was in great condition. Not only has acupuncture helped my macular degeneration, but it has also improved other health issues. Acupuncture is truly remarkable in what it can do for the body. I was tested for allergies and had the results in 20 minutes. Not knowing much about allergies and asthma, Dr. Pinna was very informative about my treatment plan and the prescriptions that I would need. Sadly, I took a walk up in the local hills (which Dr. Pinna strongly advised against) and I suffered a severe asthma attack. I had to go to emergency. When Dr. Pinna heard of this, he immediately added other medicines to my current treatment plan. I must say, after the additions made to my treatment plan, I was feeling so much better that very night! The office runs so smoothly and efficiently. It was music to my ears when Dr. Pinna told me "We are going to give you your life back". That was so refreshing to hear, because I have not been feeling well all year long prior to seeing Dr. Pinna. They went over my X-rays then pressured me to choose a "plan" (all plans are 90 days w/ 36 adjustments) Plan # 1 $3,250 or 90.28 per adjustment. Plan #2 $2290 ($63.61 per adjustment), or plan #3... 3 monthly payments of $860.00 per month, I went out of town for 2 weeks, while I was gone they called Medicare to verify coverage, they were out of network with no benefits and never bothered to tell me until I passed on all 3 options. Then option #4 became available at $105.00 per adjustment, they're open 3 1/2 days per week, they rush you thru like cattle because it's only Dr Hale and his receptionist. As a disabled individual already going thru cancer my plate is full. Dr Hale is very knowledgeable but his office is overbooked, understaffed, and definitely overpriced.
