I can't begin to tell you how great this place is! Too be honest, I almost cancelled my appointment due to having bad hair experiences elsewhere. Michelle was great! I had my hair colored and highlighted! Take a look at this beautiful job. I'm never going anywhere else!!!

I can't be more pleased with how my hair is with how Kerry does my hair at Elements Salon

I have been going to Kerry for a while now and she has been coloring my hair and taking care of it and it is in the BEST shape it's ever been in. I trust her. She is a Master Colorist and is Obvious I Recommend her 100%

I always wanted to try it lightning up my hair but was afraid to. I discovered Gabe the owner of elements hair salon online and loved the positive reviews about him. So I made an appointment and went up and got my hair done. Not only was he fun to sit and chat with while he was working with me but he did a fantastic job. My husband loved the results as do I and I am headed back in a week for my overdue 3 months check up. I strongly recommend elements and especially Gabe if you are looking for a colorist who knows what they're doing.

Hello everyone! My mother got her hair cut, colored and styled by Michelle at Elements Hair Salon yesterday. She was ecstatic with the results of her hair, so we booked me an appointment! My appointment was today! Michelle had a vision for my hair to keep the length and lighten my highlights and a trim. She was quick with putting the foil in my hair. She works fast! I love my hair! She is really good and professional. Go book an appointment with Michelle!

Thank you Michelle!! Your the best!!

I just went today 5/16/2019 for a cut, style & color. It was my first time visiting Elements Salon. I had the BEST STYLIST Michelle!! She was so easy to talk to & was very open to looking at pictures, that I brought in. Michelle was just awesome & did the cut, style & colors I wanted. I chose a very edgy cut w/ chunks of blonde & some strands of darker shades. After she rinsed my hair, I could already see all the beautiful colors shining through! Before drying!! My daughter came w/ me, & told me, I looked like a different person for the better, bc my hair was a complete mess be4 & I agreed! Michelle has been doing this for 30 yrs! She is very detailed oriented & takes pride in every step!! She is now my hair stylist for life! I had so many awful experience's prior at other salons. It was very refreshing to meet Michelle today. Warm, personable & caring! True to her craft!

I wish I could give zero stars. I thought I did my research into the salon. It is telling there is no social media. I showed your stylist the picture I was trying to match and the the amount of hair I wanted removed. I asked for 3 and she took 6 inches off. I asked no matter what not to have straw yellow and orange hair and that's what I got with a ton of breakage. She used a curling iron on my wet hair. I looked it up and I guess that's bad, too. I paid 125 bucks to walk away from your salon after 2 years of growth looking like a scarecrow. I couldn't figure out why my scalp burned for 12 hours after I left. She didn't wash out the dye all the way. I am in a wedding in 2 months and now I have to pay another salon 230 bucks for a correction and who knows what else if more of my hair falls off. Karri, it takes a lot to let someone walk out looking like that. I made sure to think and wait to make sure I was not overreacting because reviews matter to people like me. I have cried more today than I care to admit and I have no idea what I will have to pay for my hair to look semi decent for the wedding.

I have been going to Jen since I was 11 and I absolutely love her. Would recommend her and Elements to anyone! I've gotten my hair dyed with her and I didn't feel like my hair got damaged at all, super soft afterward. Love the Aveda products that they use.

I then leave each facial feeling completely and utterly relaxed and rejuvenated. Hayley is super knowledgeable and truly treats you and your skin from a holistic angle. She's made awesome suggestions for my lifestyle that have made dramatic differences, yet is in no way judgmental or strict; she'll offer advice when wanted but never tries to push or "sell" you. I am also completely addicted to her amazing product line Rosarium. Being an oily skinned gal with breakouts, I'd read about that oil attracting oil thing but was always too scared to actually try a facial oil. Using her line has cleared all of those little congestion bumps I had finally accepted I would have to live with, tamed my breakouts and balanced my skin tone and oil. Even without make-up, my skin glows! I especially love that there are only three products I use now, because I need simple. And as her products smell and feel so wonderful, my skincare routine is now more of a ritual that I actually look forward to each evening. Thank you Haley for changing my life and being such a beautiful person inside and out!

So, when Jackie raised her prices from $120 to $150, it was time to shop around. Dynamic Images in Placerville was less expensive, closer to Cameron Park, and had good reviews. I kept getting their voicemail when I called so I left a message that they could call or text my number, whichever was easier. After that, Donna & I were able to connect. Their website prices are: 1) Partial Highlights are +$50 and if you add a Base Color (+$60) underneath then the total is +$110. 2) Full Highlights are +$95. When I spoke with Donna, I told her I had mid-back, thick, blonde hair but it had been 5 months since I had my highlights done. I was open to option 1 or 2 to refresh my color. Donna told me if I picked option 1 or 2 that her price was $120. I cancelled my appointment with Jackie and went to see Donna at 12:45 PM on April 10th. When I arrived, Donna was working on another client. For about 15 minutes or so, I looked online at blonde pictures and screenshot the ones I thought were closest to my color. When we sat down together, I asked Donna which picture looked most like my hair color. I went with the blonde color Donna picked thinking it was the easiest, most realistic color for her to achieve with my hair As I put on the smock, Donna changed the price to $170. I'm still getting the same full highlights at $120 and the picture just gave me an idea how the highlights would turn out so why the $50 increase? Donna doesn't really explain and I'm feeling like I should walk out. If I hadn't cancelled Jackie, I would have left. But now it would take weeks to get back in with Jackie so I said okay to Donna. Donna put in the foils and then left the room. There was no opportunity to get to know her or talk with her about my hair. I ended up talking with the ladies next to me about Yellowstone's 1923 finale. After the foils were done, Donna washed my hair. I was surprised my hair was darker, almost muddy. Even though it was wet, after so many years of highlighting, you know when the color is right. I hoped the blow dry would prove me wrong. Oddly, Donna air-dried my hair instead of giving me a blow out. So I couldn't judge a $170 color job because my hair was frizzy from air dry. I tipped Donna 20% because I thought if I gave myself a proper blow out at home and ended up loving the color then I'd have left on a good note to come back. As soon as I got home, John said, "Why is your hair brown?" It bothered me that I walked in with blonde hair, paid $200 total for full high-lights, and walked out with brown hair. So, I texted her. Donna said she quoted me $150 over the phone, which isn't true or I would have stayed with Jackie at $150. Donna texted me she would give me "a FEW highlights" between clients, "no blow dry" (leave with wet hair), and I had to come in at her schedule "within 2 weeks." Sensing attitude, I asked if it would be better if the owner fixed my color. Donna replied that I would have to pay if someone else fixed her work. Donna told me to arrive 11 AM April 24th. My car battery was dead that morning so I sent her a video to show her I wasn't making it up. I got the battery replaced at O'Reilly's by 2 PM and kept trying to reach her to reschedule. Donna rescheduled for 9:45 AM May 1. I arrived 15 minutes late. Donna came out to my car and told me that she wouldn't fix my hair. This felt like deja vu when Donna quoted me $120 over the phone for full high-lights and then flipped the script when I got there - except now she's been paid. When I said she was 15 minutes late the first time we met, Donna smirked, laughed it off, and made no offer of help. I honestly felt this was the FU moment Donna had been waiting for. Because I had rearranged my schedule to Donna's and drove to Placerville so she could fix her work and ended up with nothing. I went inside and told the owner, Fay, that Donna wouldn't fix my hair. From behind Fay, I saw Donna walk forward, see me, turn around and hide. The owner repeated Donna's version, which not only was untrue but shame on the owner for not reaching out. No help was offered so I told Fay I would write a review of my experience citing "the lack of kindness." In conclusion, if you are new in town and looking for a salon, do not go to Donna unless you're a glutton for punishment. For $200, girl, you deserve a better quality experience.

Late Sunday night around 11pm, I started desperately searching Yelp for salons near me with great reviews. I kept seeing amazing things about Lox & Hue Hair Salon, so I decided to trust the reviews. Using AI, I sent messages to three salons -- including Lox & Hue. I heard back from another salon first, but first thing Monday morning I received a message from Jaimie, the owner of Lox & Hue. She told me she was on her way into the salon and would let me know if they had any openings that day. She was immediately on it. When I explained in my message how upset and devastated I was about my hair, Jaimie went out of her way to work me in. I was already so grateful before I even walked through the door. I ended up seeing Kathleen, and the second she smiled and said hello, I just knew I had found my salon. She is so sweet, incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and so easy to talk to. She took the time to go over everything with me before doing anything at all -- explaining the plan, asking questions, and making sure I was comfortable and confident with every step. When she finished... I'll admit, I cried again -- but this time happy tears. My hair turned out beautiful, blended perfectly, and better than I ever expected after what I went through. I am so thankful to both Kathleen and Jaimie. They didn't just fix my hair -- they restored my confidence and completely saved my New Year's. I will forever be grateful and will absolutely be a loyal client going forward. If you're on Yelp searching and wondering where to go -- this is your sign.

After spending a lot of time trying to make it look presentable each day, I did some research online and on Yelp. That's when I found the many positive reviews for Lox and Hue Salon on Placerville Drive. I made an appointment with Jaimie, initially planning to get a perm because I thought adding body might solve my hair issues. During my appointment, Jaimie took the time to discuss my concerns, how I typically styled my hair, the products I used, and the time I spent on my daily routine. After carefully evaluating my hair and listening to my goals, she recommended against a perm. Instead, she suggested a cut that would better suit my hair and texturize the heavier, unmanageable areas. After a relaxing shampoo, a great cut, and a beautiful style, I left the salon feeling happier and more confident than I had in a long time. Jaimie did an amazing job, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who truly listens and knows how to make hair work for you. My only disappointment is that I don't live nearby and can't return to her regularly. However, whenever I'm in the area, I will definitely be making another appointment with Jaimie!
