I went here yesterday for my very first massage. A friend from work had recommended it to me, as they take our insurance (bonus!). The decor in the waiting room is very relaxing and designed to put you at ease. I wasn't really sure what to expect with my massage, but Rebecca instantly made me comfortable with her kind, professional attitude. She asked me specific questions on exactly what I was looking for (a relaxation massage) and seemed very pleased to give me my first massage. Her room was low-lit with lamps/candles, the music was soothing, and the massage bed was heated (bliss!). I don't know what most people are looking for in a massage, but for me it was incredibly relaxing, peaceful, and wonderful. Rebecca was quiet the whole time, except a few verbal cues for body placement, which is what I was hoping for, since I'm not much of a chatterer. I just want to say acupuncture is probably the best thing ever created. I was told that if I stopped taking my medications that the Dr. prescribed, that I would do much better, and more than likely it was an overgrowth of yeast internally causing my symptoms. I have been recieving treatment here for chronic and extremely painful neck and shoulder muscle issues. I see Joyce for theraputic massage, Mary for Chiropractic adjustments and Mychell for accupuncture. I was a physical mess when I first started treatment. I hurt all the time and felt much older than my years. I was so stiff that I felt I was made of cement and I was so tired all the time. In the past I have had sports related injuries to my shoulder and elbow. Recently I had knee replacement surgery. Through these injuries I have followed the prescribed medication and physical therapy with mixed results.
