I had one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had at Elements Massage in Chandler (Ocotillo Rd). I received a gift card for a 90-minute massage and booked what I believed was a standard appointment. When I arrived, I was informed that my appointment was scheduled as 60 minutes, and therefore they refused to accept my 90-minute gift card because the therapist was "scheduled for 60 minutes." I immediately said I was fine losing the extra 30 minutes and just wanted to use the gift card anyway. That would mean I lose the value--not them. They still refused. I asked if I could: -Switch therapists -Move my appointment -Speak to a manager or someone else The answer to all of the above was no. Instead, I was told my only options were to pay $89 out of pocket for the massage or pay a $45 cancellation fee--despite being physically present, on time, and holding a valid gift card for more service than I was scheduled for. The most frustrating part? The therapist was already booked and getting paid regardless. The business lost nothing by honoring the gift card, yet chose to rigidly enforce a policy with zero common sense and zero customer care. I ended up paying $45 to cancel and walked out without a massage, without using my gift card, and significantly more stressed than when I arrived. This was not about policy--it was about unwillingness to help. No empathy, no flexibility, no escalation path, and no concern for the customer experience. I came in expecting relaxation and left feeling dismissed, frustrated, and taken advantage of. I will never return, and I strongly caution others before booking here--especially if you're using a gift card. read more

This was my first massage experience at Elements massage. I called and scheduled a massage and the masseuse was an elite which had an up-charge apart from the regular massage fee. As I entered the front office welcomed me and explained the different options. The massage I booked was for 60mins and since the masseuse had a client she started 10min late with me and ended it 5min early. Technically I got a service for only 45min. Overall experience with the masseuse was good, she asked where I had a problem and did a good job with the pressure. The front office though was pushy to get some membership deals which I wasn't interested in. The pricing is definitely a little more than expected. Overall the experience was decent. read more

I love going to elements but my last time going there was actually really disappointing. I had Benito G & even had to pay extra bc of his expertise level. It was possibly the worst experience I had at a massage place. He was clearly sick because he kept having to blow his nose, he coughed the entire time, I could hear his runny nose and him struggling to breath. He kept leaning his body onto my shoulders and arms any time he had to over reach. My husband was right next to me in the same room getting his massage (since we made an appointment for a couples massage) and he felt so bad for me afterwards because he noticed how sick & loud my masseuse was. read more

I'm giving 5 stars because of Natasha. I've had many different therapists work on me but Natasha is absolutely the best!!! I love her because I could be stressed after a long night of work and I come see her when I can.. She always puts a smile to my face and makes me laugh. I laugh so hard that I have tears coming out of my eyes. That's how much she makes me laugh. Her massages are so perfect and relaxing. I always feel tight on my shoulders and upper back area. It's so painful because that's where I carry my stress. Natasha even says, "omg Olivia it's like you were carrying a toddler on your shoulders". That made me laugh because she has these lil jokes where she brings my frown upside down. She has that affect on me.. I am so hard to please.. Trust me. I made a huge mistake when I switched up different therapists.. I told her I need to just stick to her and see her on Tuesdays.. Anyways, hands down. She's great!! Horrible experience not only with the masseuse but also with the front desk and manager. Masseuse was awkward and afraid to massage, used too much oil then had to use a rag to wipe it off. My significant other had a very similar experience, masseuse was annoyed and seemed like she had never given a massage before. Only our backs were massaged for our 90min session. When I spoke with the manager she was short, rude and had an attitude. While waiting other clients said they thought it was the worst massage they had ever had, then front desk asked if they wanted to leave a tip. I do not recommend this location it is awful, the one on power and McDowell is 10/10 I highly recommend it. I canceled my membership because of this experience. read more

The team were great, I booked my first session online, within minutes after making the booking I received a customer service outreach to explain the new customer pricing, expectations and how I could complete introductory paperwork online or in person before my appointment. Upon arrival I was welcomed by the staff and then greeted by my therapist, who took time to ask questions and understand my requirements which put me at ease. The therapy was just what I needed and I left feeling I had received attentive service that was great value compared with other competitors. I recently tried out Elements Massage and had a less than desirable experience and shared this through email. It was just not the right massage for me, but I'm sure the therapist is perfect for a different client. She was sweet and funny and professional, but the pressure type wasn't right. The manager called me the same day that I sent my email and said that she would get me in for a complimentary massage to make up for it. My visit to Elements today was an experience much like your typical story arc. I walked in the door with my mask on, instantly greeted by Shaelynn who was presumably smiling under her own mask. While I was filling out paperwork and checking yes to shoulders, yes to feet, no to pectorals, she made good conversation making me feel comfortable. This place is clean and the people are nice. So far, so good. Vanessa, my appointed Massage Therapist, greets me from the frosted glass door emerging from a silhouette of mystery. She had a mask on as well, but I could tell that she meant no harm. I undress in the private, darkened room to my 'comfort level' as instructed, which turned out to be as bare as the minute I was born. The tension is still very low in this story, and modest thanks to the comforting white sheet laying upon my back. Vanessa reenters and begins working on the mess that I call my back. Knots, bumps, inhuman atrocities are brought to light from within my muscles. The tension builds (but not in my back, because it was already there). My body was quickly plummeted into a sea of discomfort as she pushed and shoved the lumps behind my shoulder blades. Ouch. I was shaking from the ticklish nature of my lower back being touched, and cringing as my knots were pushed around like children in a death metal mosh pit. How long could I stand it? Would I live to tell? My fate was not my own. But Vanessa read me like a book and lightened the pressure to my relief. At the end of the hour-long brutalization to my non-athletic muscular shell, she graced me with a relaxing scalp massage. What bliss. The session ended and I made it through; I felt more resilient and very relaxed after the experience. I reclothed myself in private, feeling shaky and disoriented. I returned to the lobby where I settled up with Shaelynn, still friendly as when I first met her about an hour ago. I visit spas regularly and what I like most about Natasha is that she listened to my health concerns and gave me a massage that exceeded my expectations. Both therapists were able to target and address the areas that needed improvement. Therapists were able to adjust pressure as necessary. I am visiting for a month, was told I could get package deal for weekly massage 4-5 sessions, went for my third session, the front desk person was different and would not give me rate from the previous two sessions. I tried them and was ultra pleased with the care and professionalism that is displayed. Clarissa is new here but has been a therapist for 5 years, I think. What an amazing therapist! My calf was injured a week ago and in a 60 minute session, I can now walk with no discomfort. What a professional attitude! What an out-of-this-world understanding of every muscle and their function! I believe that massages are healing. However, the therapist makes ALL the difference in the world to heal properly and more efficiently.
