I decided to get the 60 minute foot reflexology which was only $40!! Crazy cheap! I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and quiet this place was. My masseuse Anna placed my feet into a bucket of warm water as she began to massage my face, head, neck, shoulders and arms. I closed my eyes and felt incredibly relaxed. The reflexology- the arches, heels, toes, and the pressure points on feet felt so satisfying. Anna basically worked my entire body and even stretched me. After the massage, Anna gave me a bottle of water. $50 including tip for a wonderful hour of massage is hard to beat. I left feeling so loose and relaxed. Definitely will go back whenever I need some pampering.

This was surprising, as I've had full-body Swedish massages in 30 minutes before without an issue. Throughout the massage, her attitude seemed off, and she was rough with her technique. Her arms were felt scratchy against my skin, and she kept using her elbows, which hurt. Even after I told her it was uncomfortable, she didn't adjust. Swedish massages are supposed to be soft and relaxing, but this was anything but. She finished early, leaving the room at 11:21, so I didn't even get the full 30 mins I paid for. I got dressed and when she never returned so I went to the front desk at 11:27, only to see her kneeling on the floor casually chatting with the receptionist. I've always booked online and had decent experiences here, but this walk-in appointment was a complete disappointment. There was zero relaxation; I left feeling more tense and irritated than when I arrived. It's definitely not worth the $50 (with tip), and I won't be coming back.

A 60-minute massage was arranged and a couple add ons were available for additional pricing. The sugar scrub made the most sense to add. Combos are also available, such as neck, back, etc. The foot reflexology starts at $30 for 30 minutes and increases by $15 for 60 minutes and another $20 for 90 minutes while the combo starts $35. Foot detox is also available for $25. We were brought over to a room with dimmed lighting and serene music for relaxing. I'm not sure how many rooms there are in total but there's a set of three beds for each room. A basket is placed by the head for personal belongings. They begin with placing a thin sheet/blanket for comfort and then an another on your face to cover your eyes to relax you. For one, it's definitely less distracting and what I was told is that it makes it less awkward for the reflexologist. While focusing on one foot, the other leg was covered too. I noticed that they focused on specific areas of the feet with most of a downward motion and then extends it further to your legs and repeating the motion. It was definitely relaxing and any tension that had built up was most certainly diminished. They were most certainly professionals in their craft and even offered us water bottles to rehydrate. Best massage I've ever had. The Ashiatsu Barefoot massage is perfect for those with tight muscles and want to improve flexibility. I have two artificial hips and an artificial ankle and I'm a husky fellow. I golf at least 4 times a week. This massage has improved my quality of life. I like to go every two weeks. And, it improved my golf game/distance dramatically. I used to pay monthly for a membership to a large massage franchise but I started feeling like a number. The communication was only the tip of the iceberg for this wonderful organization. My massage therapist was kind, thoughtful, skilled, knowledgeable, and understood the direction and plan to achieve our continued work together. Over weeks she was patient, worked very hard, very hard, as I have a very tight muscle body. And weeks into our work, I'm the most muscle stress free for the first time in three years. I have been getting massage from Jenny at Serenity Massage for about a year. I do the 2 hour deep tissue massage. I can't say enough good things or provide any higher recommendation for Serenity Massage. Opposed to other retail chain massage businesses where you can expect a choreographed massage routine, Jenny at Serenity has developed a personalized treatment that focuses on my neck, traps, scapula and sciatica. I have been to this spa many times before and have always had wonderful experiences with Vanessa. Unfortunately, she wasn't available this time, so I was scheduled with a different therapist. I have never had an issue here until this appointment. I booked this massage because I wanted to relax and get relief from tension in my shoulders, neck, and head. I never requested a deep tissue massage. Instead, the therapist simply started doing one without ever asking if that was what I wanted. Within minutes, I was wincing in pain and told her multiple times that it was too much. I also explained that I get migraines and prefer a gentler, more relaxing massage that focuses on my problem areas. Rather than listening to what I was asking for, she continued with an aggressive deep tissue massage over my entire body. She never once touched my neck or head as I requested, she focused entirely on my arms and shoulder blades. Instead of adjusting her technique, she told me I had so much tension that I needed to schedule at least 2 or 3 two-hour deep tissue massage. By the end of the session, she even instructed me to ice my body afterward because of how intense the massage had been. That alone should have been a sign that this was far beyond what I had booked or wanted. I came in hoping to leave relaxed, not feeling like I needed to recover from my massage. She also talked throughout nearly the entire appointment, which made it impossible to unwind. The combination of the constant conversation and the painful massage meant I never had a chance to actually relax. She also saw me wincing and said that, "sometimes, you have to do the work." I left sore for days afterward, and the massage ultimately triggered one of my migraines. A massage should be tailored to the client's comfort level and goals, especially after they communicate what they want and say they are in pain. Unfortunately, my requests were ignored from beginning to end. I'm incredibly disappointed because I've always had positive experiences here before. However, after this experience, I will never book with this therapist again.
