Massages by Jeanne are great- just the right pressure and she spends a lot of time on the problem areas. My issue Elements Massage is the front desk staff and the billing policies. They have tried to overcharge me two times this year. When you have a medical condition the last thing you want to be concerned about is how much things are going to cost. To leave a relaxing massage and be asked to pay significantly more than expected causes unnecessary stress. This is not a good customer experience but shame on me for giving them a second chance. read more

Rodney is an exquisitely talented massage therapist, with whom I will book time whenever I visit Seattle in the future. He located the offending muscle in my calf and applied many methods to give me great relief from a muscle that was tighter than a piano chord. Now - a day later - I am walking without pain. This isn't a review of the actual massage received, but the last minute cancellation that they failed to let me know about until about 2 hours before my massage. They called to suggest an alternative time a whole 15 minutes before said alternative time, and did not have any other options for a few days. I booked this massage weeks ago, and I understand that people can get sick and not come into work, however a call should have been made early in the morning to suggest the alternative timing (NOT 15 minutes before). Furthermore, I had purchased this deal from living social, and I no longer could return it for my money and had to accept living social credit instead. Extremely disappointed in this place, and I will NOT attempt to re-book. read more

Great massage for the price! A friend and I got the living social 80 min. Massages, parking was easy and the facilities were clean. It was a relaxing atmosphere. We had Cari and Maria, who both did fantastic deep tissue massages. Just don't expect the whole spa treatment...because thats not what this is. read more

Carrie gave an excellent massage, attentive to the areas I needed worked on and sensitive to the amount of pressure I like. She was also a really pleasant young woman. I'm fortunate enough to find not just one, but three therapists that do an excellent job and thoughtfully address my massage needs. You need to be prepared for the time frame, which is shorter than other massage places. I am a few hours out of my massage with Christopher, and still feel great. I went in today with my shoulders hunched, tight and in pain and left with them straight, loose and calm. Christopher not only was able to mend the damage I have done on my upper back / shoulders, but also explained to me what I have been doing to cause the pain, and what to focus on. I have been going here off and on for years. Cari was a fairly new employee when I started, and now she is so popular among clients, that you have to schedule with her far in advance! Now I go to John; at the beginning of each session, he asks me if there are any particular areas on which I want him to spend more time. For massaging my back, he puts folded towels under my shoulders, so that my ladies up front don't get squashed. Once I learned how nice hot stone massages are, I now spend the extra few dollars for them all the time. Only certain therapists here do hot stone massages, and if you want one, you need to reserve it at least a day in advance. The therapists usually have a few bite-size chocolates out for their customers to take on their way out, and bottled water (room temp OR chilled) is available. The music is so relaxing. By the time an appointment ends, I am usually so relaxed that I am yawning and half-asleep. I have no doubt that I will fall asleep in a session one of these days! read more

I see a massage THERAPIST a few times a year. I have been going to him for a few years now and when I do I am going there for therapy, and that is exactly what I get, I don't get a frilly, relaxing massage, I get a very rough and deep tissue massage that actually moves my muscles and relieves the tension. I purchased this deal (80 minutes for $52) because it was 20 minutes longer and 8 dollars cheaper than my normal massage. After investigating their website and reading reviews I thought: this is a great deal. When I called to book an appointment I asked for someone who was good at deep tissue massage, they assured me Christopher was. However he was not very good at deep tissue, it was more of a frilly relaxing massage and I still had tension in the same spots as when I came in. I didn't feel that there was any therapy applied to my visit and left uneasy and still tense. I am also disappointed that they asked if I wanted to leave a tip. If I am paying for a health service I am not expected to leave a tip. When I go to see my doctor or dentist they don't ask me to leave a tip. And their website claims that their services are to better your over all health. So in the end my massage was $67 (7 dollars more than my normal massage) and not even close to being sufficient in relieving my pain. I would not recommend this place to a friend even if there is a good deal going on. read more

I have been coming here for over a year now to see Julie B. She is incredible. She is very pleasant to be around and she has over decades of experience, including massage in Africa and running her own business. It is unfortunate to see a previous reviewer had an not so great experience with her or the clinic, as I can tell you I have NEVER experienced any of those with Julie or the clinic. Having been in for over a year approximately every 2 weeks, I've spent a considerable amount of time with her. Being so quick to judge someone after one visit is very unfortunate. Having been a client for over a year I know she truly cares about your well being and uses special techniques to alleviate aches and pain. I have slight Kyphosis in my spine and as a result, have lower back pain. Being a bioengineer, it makes since to work on the upper back and neck to alleviate pain in the mid to lower back. Also, working on loosing the tightness in the hamstrings works as well to release that stress in the lower back. It's a result of compensation. Also, if you are pregnant there is much more additional force being applied to the lower belly and back and the neck and upper back will become very tight to compensate for those additional loads. I would highly recommend Julie as she examines your body as a "whole" to eliminate focused aches. Your body is a multiple part system and if one area is really tight it will cause the adjacent and surrounding areas to be tight as well. I really value her knowledge and experience as well as her unique personality. I respect her as a client. I will be going to Julie B. for as long as I can. I would highly recommend Julie B. read more
