I was in a bit of rush trying to get to my appointment on time so my energy was a bit chaotic when I arrived. He was waiting for me at the front and had this zen energy about him. He clarified with me what my goals were for the appointment and proceeded to give me a very focused massage. I requested a focus on neck, shoulders, and upper back. I was gifted a massage at Dreamscape for my Valentines Day gift. I am not going to lie, based on the website I was not expecting a good massage. I arrived 10 minutes before my massage and was greeted my Sam my masseuse. She was very kind and offered me water with lemon and the restroom. She took me to my room where she asked about my goal for the massage and how she was going to work my "stress" areas. I really liked that she took the time to ask and explain herself. The massage was super relaxing. She had just the right amount of pressure. She used aromatherapy oils during the massage and it was just amazing. I started going to Dreamscape in 2015ish and somehow haven't written a review until now. One of my favorite things about the place (aside from the great massages) is how cozy & comfortable the vibe is - the decor isn't sterile white walls that make you feel like you're at a doctor's office. The comfortability isn't just the space, but also the inclusivity and non-judgmental energy of the employees. I also am glad to support a local small business that has been a part of Capitol Hill for a long time. I've seen various practitioners over the years but have been going to Sam for about a year now. Not only does she give a killer massage, I truly enjoy going to see her once a month. I've been seeing Samantha weekly for over a year now, and regularly chat with Cameron the owner. Samantha is a fabulous practitioner, she always checks in and gives me amazing treatment based on my current state, I have fibromyalgia and it can be hard to find someone like that. Massage is one of the few treatments for fibromyalgia and they also provide me with receipts for out-of-network coverage when I can get it. I also see the spa as a safe place, where I am not afraid to offhand mention my gender identity or sexuality, and everyone always reacts kindly and respectfully to gender and sexuality politics when I bring them up, which is often because we live in the time we do. They Also go out of their way to be affirming to my trans experience, and to get my pronouns and preferred name correct. read more

I've come here for years and it's always great. The atmosphere is awesome and though I've seen several different healers, everyone of them has been fantastic. Recently I had a 90 minute massage and mentioned some serious tension in my back. I get massages often and they usually try to get the whole body in equal amounts of time which is nice - but when you're in pain - you kinda want focus. That's exactly what this was - most of the time was spent really working out the knots. My headaches eased, my range of motion was way better and it was super thorough. 10/10 I would recommend this place. Whatever you clearly say you are there for, they will accommodate. I have annoying pain and numbness on my right shoulder that increases with stress and workload. Many masseuse leave me with 'i wish they had focused more here than there' or ' i wish they put less pressure here but more there' but with Sam I feel much lighter and I can feel the relief of my pains. read more

Sam(antha) is so legit. I've spent a lot of the last seven years ping-ponging between Wershington & California without ever finding my-one-true-massage-therapist in the Seattle area. California (bay area) being most recently closed with no massages to be found, it was nice to finally land here where a massage was a possible thing. (Yes, after 30 days clear. Yes, after multiple safety measure. I'm just a tense human people with a back full of rocks - not an asshole. I mean, everyone has to do their own risk assessment of what's reasonable during this panini we find ourselves in. And they will ask you, on the health and safety questionnaire whether you have traveled or been in a hot spot in the last 30 days.) So, safety measures: -The usually fabulous plexiglass in the entry area. -An abundance of hand sanny for use on entry & exit. -Temperature check -Plastic on the clip board. -Clean & Dirty pen cup. -The room I was in was kind of small. So, as per CDC recommendations until it's more clear re: the situation with variants, double masking with a KN95 or higher analogue is probably advisable just because of the capacity to share air. Massage itself: Sam asked pressure levels and was definitely communicative throughout. We encountered 0 issues! On the whole she really didn't need a lot if any direction to find problem areas! Dare I say, as someone accustomed to yeeting my body full of rocks on to total strangers, she did near the best, if not the best among all of them on doing a total body massage. I LOVE this place. I've had massages by all of the masseuses here and they're all fantastic. Cameron and Gage are who I typically see the most frequently.... They always remember me, are kind/patient and just give darn good, deep massages. I feel like everyone here is just very thoughtful with their massages. It doesn't feel like something they are rushing through but they actually care and want to make you feel good. They are thoughtful, methodical and talented beyond belief! I've been coming here for years. My massages with Cameron have always been amazing - he's really nice, makes me feel comfortable, and does a great deep tissue massage that works out all my problem areas. When asked, he always takes time afterwards to show me stretches that I can do on my own. That said, I have not enjoyed my massages from John - after two tries, I have decided his style is not for me. The pressure was off despite speaking up, the strokes/movement are a bit too monotonous, and he's not as friendly as Cameron. The other staff seem to get great reviews, so I look forward to trying them out! Only con is you have to plan ahead since the calendar books out at least a month in advance. read more

Cameron is one of the most welcoming therapists to work on my body. His level of knowledge on the human body - beyond what one would expect for a therapist - is quite impressive. Anytime I have something that isn't quite right whether my foot or a certain spot on my back from sitting in chairs too long, I feel relief after seeing Cameron. One of the things I appreciate most about Cameron (and his fellow therapists) are how they focus on long-term health. They send me home with videos of certain stretches so my treatment doesn't end at the conclusion of the massage. While I no longer live in the area, I do make a point of getting on his calendar when I'm in town. Zero hesitation in recommending Dreamscape to family and friends. read more

I booked another appointment with George and I had an incredibly different experience. George was extremely attentive, respectful, and kind, and took the time to really hear my needs for the massage. He had a great energy and I felt very comfortable and relaxed right away. I'd totally recommend George to anyone - generally, but also for runners/athletes out there. I'm recovering from a minor running injury between my hips and knee, and he was really in tune with what was going on. George was seriously the best!!! I would love to book with him again. I slept weird on the couch after a pretty intensive workout, and woke up with an absolutely massive adhesion that immobilized much of my right shoulder and upper back. So much so that I had to take prescription muscle relaxants for pain management before I could schedule a session here. Luckily, I was able to schedule a next-day 30 minute session with John Heller. He is an absolute master of his craft, and a healer that has very precise anatomical knowledge. He found all my problem points within the first 2 minutes and went to work. I lift heavy, so a good LMT is a must. I will be coming back again. My only regret is that I could not have a full hour! read more

I am updating my review based on the experience I received from Cameron on 3/3, who contacted me a few days after my first review and offered to give me a massage himself to make up for my first experience. He was very kind and understanding on the call, assuring that the issues I mentioned would be looked into. I really appreciated that he made time to fit me into his schedule even though he was booked for two months. He paid great attention to my comfort during the actual massage- making sure the table was warm, offering aromatherapy, checking to make sure the pressure was okay, and using a hot towel at the beginning and end of the massage. Cameron is also very skilled as a massage therapist; I felt as though I was getting a combination of a sports massage and reiki. I left feeling much more relaxed and would recommend Cameron to anyone looking for an amazing massage experience. read more

Came here for a 30 mins regular massage and a half hour foot massage with Lauren Eddy: Love this spa. It's a very small operation, definitely not fancy or modern. Right when you walk in, it's a mix between cozy and a little cramped and cluttered. But it feels welcoming, as if you're walking into your own living room at home, with the furniture, the waiting chairs, the stacks of magazines, the cabinets. I think there are only two rooms, and further in there is a small bathroom (clean, with towels to wipe your hands!). The room I was in was spacious, dark neutral tones. I saw a lot of cream colored walls, and dark brown everything else. It made me feel sleepy and relaxed. As for the massage itself, I enjoyed it. I would have loved more pressure on my feet and calves, but it was medium strength, which overall was still fine and enjoyable. Lauren was super nice and listened to what kind of massage I wanted. It was so relaxing and seamless from one body part to the next that I think at one point I felt like I either dozed off, or was so close to it that I actually wasn't entirely sure. I even asked Lauren if I did, and she was very nice and laughed it off, saying she wasn't sure and reassured me I hadn't been snoring. I like that they gave the full treatment time -- I've had issues at some spas where they bring you into the room late, and by the time they let you undress, come back with their supplies, a good 15 minutes had passed by and they don't make it up. To be fair, we came early, and filled out our paperwork and used the bathroom quickly, enabling them to start on time. But I appreciated there weren't any short cuts, or whatnot. At the end of the treatment, I think there was a small towel to wipe our hands/face with and a candy waiting (some chocolate mint thing, I don't remember what brand). Interesting, but a thoughtful personalized touch. My husband had Crystal and he loved her massage. The perfect amount of pressure and she really worked his legs/feet/ankles very well. Street parking only. They don't take SpaFinder or SpaWish. Also very reasonably priced!! read more
