Overall a very odd experience. I went in for a prenatal massage and there was no prenatal bed so you had to lay on your side using a pillow between your legs. The majority of the massage was through a sheet which was just very weird and kinda uncomfortable. Would definitely not go back here it was empty and just kinda dingy and dusty. read more

I've been going to this establishment for many years and it was always a wonderful experience. I've been told that new owners took over last year. I had an appointment for a massage that I had been waiting for all month and when I went there they told me I didn't have an appointment. This is the second time they did this to me, they did it last month and that's when I booked this one. I even got a confirmation email on Saturday. They tell me there is no record of any of my appointments.... What the heck is going on there? I see now in yelp that I am not the only one this has happened to. How about you guys put a sign somewhere that lets customers know and on the inside of the gift card holder that your gift cards are location specific only. I was the recipient of a gift card with NO one informing me that it was for the smithtown location. Very nice massage therapy spa. Clean and pleasant staff. My wait was minimal for my appointment and they had offered water prior to going in and immediately after for hydration. The therapist gave a good massage with very firm pressure. She was able to get every knot and kink of out my muscle. She did everything short of dropping off the top rope with an elbow drop. It's been a long time since I've had a massage, and my great aunt goes here loyally and has for a while, so I wanted to check it out. I've been beating up my body with figure skating and ballet, plus dealing with a lot of stress that manifests in knots and pinched nerves in my back. I looked at their website to find out more about the massage therapists and picked out Jen because she is skilled in deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy and that's exactly what my poor stressed back needs. My aunt made my appointment for me (I'm not local to the area, but I come out this way at least 1-2 times a month on average). I arrived early to do the paperwork. The waiting area is nicely decorated and inviting and the front desk person was very friendly and welcoming. After the paperwork I was asked if I needed to use the bathroom, which was also nicely decorated and clean. Jen consulted with me about my needs and I explained my back issues (above) and that I wake up with lower back pain and I do yoga and walk a lot to relieve it, but that I recognize when I need a professional's help. She understood exactly what I meant and where my pain is, and focused on that for probably half of my hour long massage. She checked in after 10 minutes to see if the pressure was just right, which I really appreciated! I felt the knots releasing as she worked them out of my shoulders and back. At the end, I felt like I'd grown a few inches and walked out of there on a cloud of relief. So, thank you Jen! I will have to come back soon! read more

a really dirty dusty place they try to cover it up by dim lighting but you can clearly see piles of dust and they put the head pillows in the corner on the floor and make you put your face in dirty sheets. Got sick everytime I went here cause they don't use masks and literally breathe over your face the whole time SO AWKWARD. Also the employees do not GIVE A DAMN about any of these concerns . Extremely unprofessional, not to mention they cut the massages short 10min and charge for hour.. so strange. I kept saying amy was hurting me and she didn't care to focus on my neck and shoulder when I repeatedly said that is all I need done. I also noticed most of the therapists take a lot of the massage time to do whatever they want and whatever is most comfortable for them . This place is located in the same shopping center as Starbuck's, Gino's, and McDonalds. I made an appointment online and took advantage of the $59, 55 minute special for new comers. The inside waiting area has a more massage like atmosphere than Massage Envy and Commack's Hand's on HealthCare Massage places. My masseuse for the hour was Vicky, she basically gave what was close to a deep tissue massage in a regular relaxation massage session. It was probably the best massage I've since starting to get ones on a monthly basis. When you're done they give you a iced cold bottle of water. She gave me a piece of paper which showed where most of the tension on my body was. They have a summer deal where you can get 3 massages for $207 by the end of September. Getting a massage should be a relaxing and stress-free experience from the time you book to the moment you leave. Not so at Elements. My husband gave me a gift certificate for my Valentines/birthday. Two days before the appointment I received confirmation call from the manager, I replied yes. She then said we don't have your cell number to text you reminders, My response was I don't want a text that's why you don't have it, I prefer a call. She then said, we will have to keep calling you. Thought that was an odd thing to say, till the next night I got a voicemail that wanted me to call to back to confirm. I called and complained that I was called twice, I should not have had to get another call or call back to say I would be there! I felt like I was being harassed for not giving them my cell. My husband saw how upset I was and called them to remind them it's also my birthday. Jennifer just made an excuse that the computer had a problem. Do you think I was just born yesterday?! They don't want to call, it's just too friendly and personal to have to pick up the phone, instead an automated text that will make their job easy. The idea of getting a massage is the total experience, they don't get that. Very unprofessional. I reluctantly went for the 9am appointment. Downhill from there, Jennifer was cold, didn't even lift her eyes from her computer to greet me, the massage therapist just went though the motions and didn't address the concerns I had, I didn't enjoy the massage and was more stressed when it was over. Left without even anyone saying have a great day. This place is clinical, staff nasty and due to the fact that it's a franchise they are rigid. I wanted my birthday to start on a happy note, Elements ruined the start of my day. There are many massage spas in my area that have a personal touch that you would expect. I have never asked for a masseuse to stop a massage but that happened today. I explained my issues (repeatedly being hurt by the masseuse's nails, not having my request to avoid my face, etc) to the owner who asked if I wanted to end my contract and schedule another massage. He explained I would be charged an additional fee if I couldn't use the last massage within 30 days. There was no offer to make this massage "right", as the corporate website states. The owner's attitude was abrupt and distant. There was no apology offered. When I questioned why he wasn't following the corporate policy, he grudgingly said "I could do that", but didn't. I have had other good massages here but the way this situation was handled was disgraceful. This establishment was recommended for a prenatal massage. I went to purchase one as a shower gift. Upon arrival, I was told I could only purchase the one hour massage and additional money for the prenatal would need to be paid upon arrival by the recipient. Very tacky...they said I could set up a "profile" for the recipient under my cell number so the extra "fee" would be covered by me ( I did not have the recipients number). Not thrilled about this hassle but I hesitantly made the profile & paid. When I got home, I realized the address/phone number of the location was no where on the card or jacket it came it. This lead me to believe that it could be used at any Elements location. I called to confirm & was told it is only valid at the Northport location which is fine but it does not say that anywhere. So I had to write a whole long explanation of where & how to redeem the card. This entire scenario seems very tacky & unprofessional to me. Now I am paranoid about when she goes to redeem. In hindsight, I should have just walked out & gone sonewhere else. Very poor business practices. read more

Then asked to send pic of card to ensure it was from this location, which it was.Then told it was only good for a year?? So I went on Elements website and clearly states" gift card has no dormancy fee and does not expire". Called back and was told that mgr Christine Disantis now said that is not their gift card but corporate?? Same company right? So I asked on their Northport website where it says anything regarding expiration dates. There is none so how would you know if you purchased online that the Managers policy is different from corporate?? I joined Elements a few months ago and I so look forward to my next appointments! I have tried a few different therapists and they are all top rate. The staff is warm and welcoming and the place itself is absolutley beautiful. They have a monthly service plan that can't be beat, 69 dollars for a 55 minute massage. The therapists always ask what area of your body you would like to focus on, for me it's my right hip because I have bursitis. The deep tissue massage really helps to alleviate my pain. The staff is so warm and welcoming and the therapists are very well trained. The rooms are nice and dark and always perfectly regulated and relaxing. If you like a deep tissue massage than book with Alisa, she is incredible. They have a monthly service where you sign up for automatic withdrawal from your bank and you get a 55 massage for $69 dollars a month and you can put it on hold anytime and if you don't use it within the month it just rolls over! Had a wonderful experience recently for a couples massage. It was our first visit to the spa and i can say the atmosphere is warm and tranquil. The waiting area is beautiful and staff friendly and welcoming. Once in the massage room, because it was pre-Valentine's Day, each of our massage tables were sprinkled with rose petals and each pillow had a chocolate. Jen and Josh were our massage experts---thoroughly relaxing and well done. We were glad we added in the hot stones. If I could give negative stars ...I would Worst massage ever..... if you could even call it a massage First I would like to explain I started going to elements in West Babylon & it was wonderful. Each time I left feeling refreshed & fabulous, unfortunately they closed & since I still had unused sessions I was transferred to north port. My first & last visit was the weekend of my nephews wedding. I was told Tony was the best so I did a two hour massage. Normally the time flys by. This time after only 20 min I was ready to call it quits. I stuck it out...big mistake on my part he slathered me up with what smelled like olive oil & proceeded to tell me his hands hurt. This was a first!!! I requested he work on my back & neck area where my pain is ....he didn't. Once it was over, he gave me a towel that I thought was dirty since it smelled. I realized it was the oil he had slathered all over me. . I couldn't even walk I did tell the person at the desk how awful it was. And both Tony & the guy at the desk asked me if I needed help to my car since they could see I could hardly walk & was in pain. Once I was home I couldn't wait to get the smelly oil off my body. The next morning I was all bruised & in so much pain. I called the manager many times with no reply & finally called the corporate office after a lot of back & forth I was told by the manager Patty I would receive a refund to my credit card within a week. Now months later I'm still waiting. My mother passed so I was busy with her funeral & estate closing etc. so I didn't realize the refund didn't go to my card. Again after many calls with no reply I'm at my wits end. If you saw my bruised back, you would think I was beat up instead of getting a massage. I'm still trying to get my refund. Stay away is all I can say & after reading the other reviews which I wish I would of done before I went I realize it's not just Tony but many of their massage therapists. STAY AWAY read more

She payed lots of attention to my areas that needed the most help (back/neck) and they felt so amazing after. She also kept checking in every once and a while about the pressure which I appreciate. After three massages I am rating them a 3 star because every time I've gone, the treatment is very short of 60 minutes. Because they offer hour long treatments on the hour, it's impossible to have a true 60 minute massage if you have someone booked before or after you. Each time, I don't get into the room until 10 after, and then by the time you speak to the therapist and undress, the service is already 15 minutes late. These have typically been 40-45 minute treatments which is very annoying and not what I pay for. I've heard other people complaining about this in the waiting area as well. I am cancelling my membership once so use up the massages in my bank. On a positive note, Lisa is a very good therapist. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!! I booked a pre-natal massage here. The girl FELL ASLEEP numerous times while I was getting my back "massaged". I had to lay on my side being pregnant so the therapist was sitting while "massaging " me. She was in and out "massaging" me. I was so uncomfortable and didn't know what to do. IT GETS WORSE.... when she was finished, it wasn't even the full hour!!!!! Now I'm steaming! I work very hard for my money and I got taken advantage of twice!!!! As I walked out of the room I said to the therapist "it wasn't even an hour". Her response was I was late and it cuts into my massage time. I WAS NOT LATE!!!! They were soooo.... busy the day after Thanksgiving they ran late. I sat there at my scheduled time, filled out paperwork and used the restroom ALL before my massage. The manager offered me a free massage since there is an Elements guarantee that you love your massage or your money back. I should have just got my money back! I decided to let them make it right. So I booked my massage, never got my reminder call or text like they're supposed too, and bc of that I forgot my appointment. So they will NOT make there wrong a right and refund my money.
