I'll start by saying my nails were not done by Patrick. They were how were done by a female technician. I got my nails done Nov 21 and they started chipping 2 days later. These pics were taken 6 day later on Nov 27th. I trusted the reviews on Yelp and tried here because I wanted a place close to work. I have been coming here almost since they opened. I really enjoyed going there. Weslyn gives a great pedicure and Patrick and Kevin were my go to's for my nails. However, I am going to try a new salon this morning as I just can't go back there anymore. I have made appts and when I get there Patrick either isn't there, or he took someone else, forcing me to wait. Most recently, I went in for a full set and found out that because I made two appts, they decided to go with the later slot despite my making a note that I had to make my appt earlier because my daughter had a Dr appt I had forgotten about and to cancel the later appt. Patrick sits right at the front. He let his wife apologize to me and he didn't even have the decency to look up and apologize for the mix up. My last appt I came ten minutes early for, and one of the ladies took the gel off and prepped my nails for him. However, I quickly realized that I wasn't the only one waiting for him and another lady also had an appt. I re-booked for the next day and left. This situation has happened to me way too often considering I always book an appt. I am not able to have extensive designs on my nails as they only use gel colors and I get contact dermatitis if I put my hand under the UV light more than twice. I am very disappointed and sad that I now I have to find a new nail tech as I really loved the finish product. I'm tired of being made to feel like my time isn't also valuable and the lack of appreciation for my loyalty. I have sent many people to them over the years and I hope they have better luck than I did. Be warned that if you don't consistently choose to get elaborate nails you won't be treated as well as the ladies that do. *UPDATE* I am happy to report that I found a new salon, PACFE Nails and Spa by the Walt Whitman mall. It's gorgeous, HUGE, well ventilated and very, very clean. There is a dedicated staff to make appointments and take payments separate from the nail techs. They have really nice products that they use and they even have someone come around and offer to give you a massage while you're getting your nails done! I was treated with respect all the way which is a wonderful change. You can all see for yourself that the owner of P&J just doesn't care. No apology for not acknowledging me when I was standing right in front of him and letting his wife do his heavy lifting. read more

1/10 would not recommend!! I was visiting NY and needed my nails done for the holidays. I needed an overlay refill on my natural nails. My right hand pointing finger needed possible repair due to lifting. The male nail tech did not know how to properly remove the lifted nail and ended up cutting my entire nail (ok, fine, it will grow back) I asked for it to be repaired with Gel X because it lasts longer and doesn't fall off like regular tips. Although they offer Gel X, he and another female technician REFUSED to use the Gel X, and said they will just place a tip higher so I stays longer... I got tired of arguing with them and agreed, because I had other things to accomplish within my day.... Now it is 3 DAYS LATER and the nail has fallen off, because they REFUSED to listen to my request. If I ever come back to NY. I will NEVER come here again. They are stubborn and don't listen. Terrible, do NOT go. I never write reviews so the fact that I am says A LOT. I can honestly say this was the WORST manicure/pedicure I have ever gotten. Both were done in 20 minutes (I promise! I checked the time when I sat down & left). It was extremely rushed as they had other people waiting. My toenails were cut/filed and are all different lengths as well as my hands. It even looks like some of the nails were filed slanted. Along with that, the polish was not fully done. It looks like they missed painting half the nail from the side. Exactly one week after I get my nails done, one of my nails is already falling off, others were lifting. This was a disappointment, these nails were supposed to last me about 3 weeks. All my nails are taken off already & I got them done on March 30th. My nails started coming off April 8th. I told the owner that if this set comes out good, I'll update my review. But ofc longevity of the nail matters just as much as the job on the nail so I waited to write this review. Truly disappointed and feel like I got ripped off. I love my powder gel they did a dip powder pink sparkly color for my fingernails and a bright pink polish for my toes. Everyone was very welcoming (and really funny too) so you really get the best experience!
