I was truly surprised to see the how efficient and professionally the work was being done, in some cases they were way ahead of schedule. This all came together by the input and knowledge of their site supervisors and workers coming together like a Swiss Watch. I am not saying this because I do not know their business, but quite the opposite as an active Licensed Building Inspector and Licensed General contractor who actually signs off on the final inspection along with Engineering Department at various Municipalities and Private inspections that I do on a daily basis. I'm the crazy chick used to landscape the front, before the owner moved back in, 2 years ago... yeah, that's me. At this home, there's a huge Circa 1960's commercial size pool in the yard. :) I landscape like crazy, take good care of the place... The owner lives in Michigan. She's nice. Not very familiar with this area, the ins and outs of 'getting stuff done' in SE Florida. Read between the lines. She (used to) rely a great deal on web sites like home advisor, etc... over the passed 2 years, there has been an endless parade of contractors, pool companies, coming out to assess the 'imaginary leak' (It's NOT the damn skimmer, I tell you) giving quotes, half assed 'solutions'... it got to the point that I quit going out to meet them. I've heard everything from 50k total redo in fiberglass down to $2500 quickie fix. I came across Kismet's card one day, figured I'd give it one last shot. The man came out a couple days later, assessed, demonstrated intelligence and KNOWLEDGE, offered the owner a very reasonable quote and timeline. He and his crew were on the job when they said they would be, finished early, and didn't charge for 'surprises'. Good, honest work, done quickly and right! The leak?! Only a 4 foot humongous crack along the whole side of the pool. Could stick a broom handle through it. Not any more! Fixed, PROPERLY. No, Surge, that is not accurate. Your crew repeatedly did not show top when they said they were…read moregoing to, in fine weather. Then on a Saturday morning they would randomly call wanting to come over when I had company. It went on for three weeks before I finally had a company that does nothing but sealing do it. Also, the pavers are sinking, are uneven and have caused a tripping hazard. That has nothing to do with sealing. The flagpole would not stay up in any weather. the four pieces would fall in on themselves, so I was left with one three foot flagpole. Multiple people tried to fix it. I finally just pulled it out of the ground with one hand. I do appreciate you getting in touch and trying to fix this, but with such a history of so many things being done wrong, done poorly, or not done, it seems foolish to continue - I simply have no confidence it would ever be done right, so I will take responsibility for fixing it.
