I was attended by a lady on the 31 Dec 14 for a colour and blowwave. It was not a good experience, I found her rushed and rough. The root colour was not well matched to my hair and was poorly divided off. This meant when I got home there were lots of patches of uncovered grey. When I tried to say I can see patches of grey, she said it was the light. The blow wave was rushed, again not divided off and too hot and having thick coarse hair it ended up being a fuzzy mess which she attributed to being near the sea. She then tried to smooth it with serum then heat curlers. It is a pity that the next day was a public holiday I could have gone back. It was a disappointing first time experience and I wondered if more care would have been taken if I was not a tourist. I made a appt to this salon based on the reviews but guess I lucked out and will seek a repair job when I get to San Fran. Also the girl on the front desk was not welcoming or friendly at all. I asked her where I could put my coat and she just pointed to the sofa. Otherwise my experiences in N. America have been superb! read more

I have been a supporting client for a length of time and this last visit was a traumatic experienc.I am very disappointed with the owner of this salon. I purchased hair extensions for myself and for my daughter and paid approx $20000 we scheduled my daughter for a color and move up on tape ins 3 days before our summer vacation. We scheduled it this way so she would have fresh hair when we went. We arrived to appointment and owner decided she did not have time to do the color and admitted she made a scheduling error but would not make it right. She then proceeded to rip the tapes out of my daughters hair (keep in mind she is 15) we ended up leaving without them being reinstalled. This is unacceptable. I would not recommend because I feel the owner really just doesn't care about her clientele and only in it for money. A real bummer. I did make appointment with a different salon that opened their doors after hours to put the proper hair extensions in and a color correction. We were there for 5 hours until 11pm. I'd been going to see Kristen for a while, and each time a great cut and color. This time, though, was different. I was headed home for my dad's celebration of life, where I'd specifically written in the invitation to others: "Don't wear black; my dad would've hated that. Be bright!" Only I didn't feel very bright... I didn't even feel like going. So on my last cut before headed home I said to Kristen: "Make my hair as bright as I need to feel. So maybe when I look in the mirror it'll help..." I'll just say she did. Orange, yellow, purple, green, blue: it was AMAZING. At my dad's celebration, a lot of people said to me: "Your dad would have LOVED that." So yes, Kristen Skorupa gave me a great haircut. I failed at "saving money" and doing it myself, as seen in my before pics. I sure made the right decision to try Elements Salon tho! After viewing before and after pics on Yelp, making the appt was simple, and I let them decide who the lucky hairdresser would be. Leah was THE ONE!!!! So sweet and encouraging, (this was gonna be a tough fix) it'll be a process, she explained, and even wrote directions to give to the next salon where I'm moving to. I had my hair cut and colored with highlights by Roberta. I brought a hairpiece I wear sometimes and she matched my new hair color to it perfectly. I was coloring it myself but it always turned out too brassy. This time no red tones whatsoever. I love it. I will never color my hair myself again. The new salon is great too.
