What I really love about this store is that the owner has an eye for collectables; there isn't one thing in Rogue Wave that isn't cool and interesting to look at. She also carries clothing but again, nothing boring. Cool stuff you won't find anywhere else. Seriously. If you're passing through or visiting the area, you need to check out this store. Nothing anywhere in the Eastern Sierra comes close to her merchandising and vision. Yesterday I had the great experience of buying something I collect that will be in my family for EVER. I contacted Sara at Anne Marie's Home Boutique and she was so very kind to help me identify the exact items that my wife was looking at. Sara took the time on the phone with me and sent me a few photos of items based on the vague description that I had given her to help me pin down exactly what my wife was looking at. Intended as Christmas presents, Sara wrapped them, securely packed them for shipment and also went so far as to find me the most reasonable method of shipping from the small town of Bishop. Sonia took great care of us, and it was during holidays so they were short staffed. She has continued to give us timely updates and the delivery was prompt and on schedule. They prescribed me prednisone and 30 days later I was in Lone Pine, Ca to do some some photography (I live full time on the road as a professional landscape photographer). I was still having an extreme reaction to the poison oak so my doctor prescribed me gabapentin for the excruciating burning I was feeling below my skin. This medication is used to treat the nerves that are so enflamed. If you've ever had poison oak, you know it is like a non stop torture to your skin and your mind, trying to fight the urge to itch. Dwayne refused to fill my prescription saying "I don't feel comfortable giving this medication to an out of towner...They don't prescribe gabapentin for poison oak", he says to me. This is such false info, you can google and see it is very commonly prescribed for poison oak. I drove 60 miles one way because this was the nearest pharmacy and I can't stress the amount of pain my skin was in. I don't drink alcohol or use any recreational drugs(not even pot). I called my Dr to tell him this pharmacist won't fill my script. I can hear Dwayne talking rudely to him on the phone and making a scene so all the employees and customers were looking at me. I was not only in extreme pain from the poison oak but now feeling embarassed and singled out as if I'm some kind of junky becuase he "didn't know me". I presented the visual evidence of my poison oak all over my arms and hands. After waiting for an hour and all this back and forth (which was extremely embarassing) he agreed to give me 10 pills out of the 40 I was prescribed. Here we are weeks later and I only took I pill a day for 5 days so I have 5 of them left. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend staying away from this place if you're an "out of towner". What a horrible experience!!!
