Adorable coffee shop inside air stream trailer! There is a small parking lot next to the house, walk across the lawn to the trailer. The lady was so nice. She made me a latte before closing up shop for my long drive ahead. Can't thank you enough for keeping me awake!

Outdoor patio with music, dominos or cards.

Stopped here with my son on the way home from Mammoth. Next door to a popular bakery spot. Coffee is delicious and the service is fantastic. They also have a small gift shop inside, plus snacks, etc. Thank you, Gina! My new fav coffee spot. Can't wait to return.

I was welcomed by the owner, who kindly shared a pastry sample.

Tasty coffee, delicious sweets (including gluten-free and dairy-free) and amazing ambiance! First off, it's a beautiful Airstream trailer tucked into the shady grounds of the Eastside Guesthouse & Bivy. You can order at the window or step inside to browse gifts as you decide what to order. Lovely seating under a shadecloth on the patio in front of the Airstream.

    the cutest little airstream trailer!

Such a sweet woman running this cute little place! Answered all of our questions, both about the place and the adorable guesthouse next door, and offered to tweak our drinks if we needed a little something extra. I got the Gingerbread Molasses Latte and my dad got the Sipping Broth, both equally good and exactly what we were looking for. Gonna try and come back whenever we go to Mammoth!

Lucked out finding this cute little spot on our way home from Mammoth. Nice place to stop for a coffee, ice cream, and/or pastries. They had great shaded seating outside, with toys/activities for kids to do. The shop had some cute items, little souvenirs and goodies. (Their toffee is delicious!) Hostess was also very welcoming & kind.

My wife and I visited Bishop in mid December of 2024. The converted Airstream makes a unique and inviting coffee/tea and gift shop. We bought some gifts there for relatives. The owner has chairs and a fire pit outside of the shop which serve as a perfect place to spend an evening enjoying a warm drink or some ice cream.

This beautiful find.. right next to Eastside Guesthouse. Treat yourself

They prescribed me prednisone and 30 days later I was in Lone Pine, Ca to do some some photography (I live full time on the road as a professional landscape photographer). I was still having an extreme reaction to the poison oak so my doctor prescribed me gabapentin for the excruciating burning I was feeling below my skin. This medication is used to treat the nerves that are so enflamed. If you've ever had poison oak, you know it is like a non stop torture to your skin and your mind, trying to fight the urge to itch. Dwayne refused to fill my prescription saying "I don't feel comfortable giving this medication to an out of towner...They don't prescribe gabapentin for poison oak", he says to me. This is such false info, you can google and see it is very commonly prescribed for poison oak. I drove 60 miles one way because this was the nearest pharmacy and I can't stress the amount of pain my skin was in. I don't drink alcohol or use any recreational drugs(not even pot). I called my Dr to tell him this pharmacist won't fill my script. I can hear Dwayne talking rudely to him on the phone and making a scene so all the employees and customers were looking at me. I was not only in extreme pain from the poison oak but now feeling embarassed and singled out as if I'm some kind of junky becuase he "didn't know me". I presented the visual evidence of my poison oak all over my arms and hands. After waiting for an hour and all this back and forth (which was extremely embarassing) he agreed to give me 10 pills out of the 40 I was prescribed. Here we are weeks later and I only took I pill a day for 5 days so I have 5 of them left. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend staying away from this place if you're an "out of towner". What a horrible experience!!!

The visitor center is full of wonderful information about geological, ecology and cultural history of Mono Lake and its surroundings. The Rangers working in the visitor center are extremely friendly and helpful. You can easily spend a couple of hours in there and not even feel the passing of time! The view from the back yard of the visitor center is great. If you step outside with a camera I am sure it will be clicking fast! If you are into hiking or photography, ask the rangers for a map of the area and their recommendations for best photo opportunity spots.

I could see nothing in their direction other than the visitor center itself. When we walked inside, I saw how large this place was. There were educational displays to explain how tufas form and how salty Mono Lake is compared to the ocean, among other things. There is also a station where you can press buttons to highlight local attractions on a large map. There is also a small theater where you can watch a 20 minute introductory movie about Mono Lake. It is shown repeatedly throughout the day. The movie was informative, but my friend suspected that he had already seen it the last time he was here, 15 years ago. The highlight of the center for me was the photography exhibit in the back. On display were images of the Mono Lake area over the years, by such famous landscape photographers as Ansel Adams, Edward Curtis, Galen Rowell, and Edward Weston. If you are interested in souvenirs, there is a large gift shop as well. For those who are road weary, clean restrooms with flush toilets are available. The building is air conditioned. All the rangers we met here were friendly and helpful. If you have time, hike Panum Crater!
