We then drove 2 different vehicles one hour through heavy traffic to get to the appointments. After waiting over 30 minutes because the door was locked and the lights were off, we finally left. No one responded to our phone calls or texts. BTW, they do not allow reviews on their Facebook page. They have 2 positive reviews on there but do not allow others to post reviews.

I was immediately greeted and shown into the dressing area. There are electronic lockers, bathroom, shower, and vanity areas with all hygiene products provided. Inside each assigned locket is a bathrobe, towel, and plastic slippers. The relaxation room is small, however there's only 5 treatment rooms so it doesn't need to be massive. I completed the waiver and began hydrating. I met my masseuse, Nicey (pronounced Nissey) and she was absolutely incredible! Her background is in medical massage, and I was blown away by her assessment of my body when she finished. I also opted for hot stones and the CBD oils during this massage. Nicey did WORK on my body and muscles, but a good kind of work, much much needed. She was so kind. While I was changing I debated on asking about her availability. I inquired when checking out and was able to book the next day! I also chose the CBD oils again. Pretty sure I snored during this massage. It was SO relaxing. This will be my first spot next trip to Greenville! Much like the hotel, the marble work inside the treatment rooms is incredible. I left my phone in my locker so I don't have photos. FYI The spa does automatically charge at least 18% gratuity to the card on file. *note for previous review: the waiver addresses they do not provide alcohol (it can disrupt the therapeutic value); and the hotel does not have a pool for guests or non-guests.

She has studied extensively, has advanced degrees and despite being confined to a wheelchair due to a BAD ankle break, administered an excellent foot massage. There is plenty of free parking on-site with delightful, vibrant flowers ALL OVER. A treat for the senses and a stimulus to stop by a nursery on the way home to buy too many plants! The entry area is clean, inviting and relaxing with subdued lighting and no objectionable odors. As it was my first professional massage, I had many questions for her. She answered them all very patiently and made me feel very at ease. The booking process was extremely easy to find a day and time that would work for my crazy schedule. I arrived to my appointment, and she was waiting and ready for me. She asked me questions to get to know my main reasons for coming to see her. The massage simply transcended comfort. She meticulously worked on all of the areas I was having troubles with. The room and environment was so relaxing and beautiful. There was a nice bed warmer on the bed, beautiful music playing, and low lighting to set the ambiance. Afterwards, LaRandi gave me some very practical tips as to how I could better my posture to help reduce the muscle tension I was dealing with. The Altar Spa is located in a beautiful facility in the basement of a historic bank building. First of all kudos to Ashley who scheduled everything on short notice. Our facial's were incredible; Kass and Nicole both provided treatment that was just right for our skin types, plus they were so kind. Candace our nail technician and worked wonders on our feet and nails. Plus she appreciated our jokes and banter. Last, Dustin and April our massage therapists were equally talented and again addressed the problem areas we both have. Don't skip the back exfoliation and hot stones!
