Well today they wouldn't admit me as they wouldn't recognize my cannabis New York State ID /license /pass (the only photo ID I had on me) which isn't due to expire until April 2026. I offered to show the ghouls my yearly up to date New York State cannabis certification. that would not do? They wouldn't let me use my cannabis pass as a photo ID. They demanded I show them a New York State drivers license which I don't have or a photo state ID, which I didn't have with me. I have been using this cannabis ID at this location. I'm up the proverbial Schitt Creek. I had to go all the way home now without what i came for. i am needing medication for my pain. I know ny state is trying to get rid of medical Cannabis so they can get all of the money from the recreational cannabis. The recreational dispensaries are everywhere. There are two remaining medical dispensaries in Manhattan. What am I supposed to do now? I will never go back to RISE dispensary. the people that I dealt with today couldn't clarify or make sense of anything that was going on... and I left there feeling like the fool. because I wasn't informed? they've made changes changes that affect my life.

I just love supporting the Housing Works mission in general, so I was excited to be one of the…read morefirst customers to visit their new Nomad cannabis dispensary. First of all, it's quite large. I'm not sure what they're going to do with all that space, and the 3 sets of doors make it confusing to know which ones you can enter through, as only one set opens. But no prob. Once you enter it's really just a bunch of open space and a slim counter across the back. Being somewhat of a dispensary enthusiast, I tend to prefer those dispensaries with more product on display, even if it's locked inside of glass cases. That design choice seems to make the space feel more interactive and welcoming, and lets you see what you're buying more closely. It also often means there are chatty employees milling about who can answer questions. Whereas this space, even with the splashes of color from some of their branded merch spread across a couple of small tables, it all feels a bit stark. I waited several minutes to pick up what I had pre-ordered and paid for online, so a prepaid express counter could be nice. But overall everyone was friendly and they had a good selection of everything cannabis-related. They also offer delivery! So outside of some minor critiques, given the organization's mission and proximity to my apartment, I would say this will likely be my go-to dispensary from now on. Definitely worth checking out.
