They actually take the time to find out what you like and make the whole process more relaxing. i'm a senior citizen. I hate to get jerked around. I'm too old! to make the effort to get to E. 30th is a lot. i go way out of my way to get to a medical dispensary for a cannabis item . today I was greeted by new employees. always new employees: rarely do you see the same person twice. Well today they wouldn't admit me as they wouldn't recognize my cannabis New York State ID /license /pass (the only photo ID I had on me) which isn't due to expire until April 2026. I offered to show the ghouls my yearly up to date New York State cannabis certification. that would not do? They wouldn't let me use my cannabis pass as a photo ID. They demanded I show them a New York State drivers license which I don't have or a photo state ID, which I didn't have with me. I have been using this cannabis ID at this location. I'm up the proverbial Schitt Creek. I had to go all the way home now without what i came for. i am needing medication for my pain. I know ny state is trying to get rid of medical Cannabis so they can get all of the money from the recreational cannabis. The recreational dispensaries are everywhere. There are two remaining medical dispensaries in Manhattan. What am I supposed to do now? I will never go back to RISE dispensary. the people that I dealt with today couldn't clarify or make sense of anything that was going on... and I left there feeling like the fool. because I wasn't informed? they've made changes changes that affect my life. read more

Great quality, great prices and great customer service. Everything within the store was clean and organized with easy to use Kiosks. They have on hand budtenders that are kind and informative if you are new to the 420 world. They have a rewards system which I recommend everyone to sign up because they have great promotions for first time customers and you can accumulate points to use as discount. I just got back from Rise, my favorite medical marijuana dispensary. It has a wider variety of products that I use than I have been able to find elsewhere in Manhattan and great service. I was moved to write this review because Carlos, an assistant manager, has been incredibly helpful to me yet again. He is extremely patient and knows his stock really well. He not only helped me find the right version of the products I take for chronic pain and insomnia, he recommended one I hadn't considered before that is a very useful addition. Not sure how a person can call their time here a 1-star experience either because they felt inconvenienced by legal forms or didn't get to talk to a 25 year old "budtender" that's only going to feed you some nonsense about how the particular strain you are buying is going to make you feel. Or because they were being extra careful during a global pandemic that we didn't know much about at the time. 50% of you people were smoking weed before any of this stuff became a thing and never asked your dealer what percentages terpenes were in your bud. These places glorify all the scientific bullshit to try to get you to spend more when in reality no strain is all that better than the other. I went into MedMen earlier today and they had NO FLOWER. They also have a pretty limited menu compared to this spot. You can tell RISE isn't you classic tourist trap like MedMen on 5th because it isn't sitting on 5th Avenue real estate. The people saying to go to Curaleaf or MedMen have no clue what they are talking about, you go to one of those places in a fully recreationally legalized state and it's overpriced garbage, I'm sure it'll be the same here once NY gets to that point. Do you see MedMen popping up in NJ? Nope, because it's a brand that just wants to steal your money and everyone besides the people in this review section have figured that out, I guess. After being a frequent customer at med men and curaleaf I decided to check out rise. The process is not as easy as other dispensaries. When you walk into med men or curaleaf they scan your medical card and you walk right in and actually speak to a budtender who can answer questions. They have simplified the process which in return delivers a great experience. At rise you have to place an email and make an appointment and go through all this crap just to spend money there and receive medication. Until things change and they develop an easier process I'll continue to shop with med men and curaleaf. Just Imagine once we go recreational, these guys will be left behind. I hope things get better since they're the closest dispensary to me. read more

My first visit to a NY dispensary was a very positive one. This location is clean and welcoming, and everyone there was super friendly and helpful. I was helped by Char and the pharmacist Mark, and they both made the process extremely smooth and were both so nice and informative. I really can't say enough about how great they were. This will definitely be my go-to dispensary here in NY. A few tips. Allow plenty of time. The way the state regulations work, they can only have one patient back in the dispensary with the pharmacist at a time. So I had to wait a half hour or so for patients who dropped in ahead of me. They did tell me that going forward, placing orders online can speed things up. Also, either bring cash or sign up for the canpay app. They have an ATM but it was broken when I went. (I used canpay.
