Although I postponed the procedure was simple. Dr. Sperling was confident in her ability and it showed. On game day I popped a pill, had my mom drive me over and It was done. I awoke and was good to go. I had to refrain from drinking (and smoking if you smoke) for two weeks and be careful not do so things that caused my mouth to open too wide like eating chewy food and... *gasp* smile. LOL But it was an otherwise easy experience. Only downside was not being able to brush my teeth for two weeks. The mouthwash I had to use caused staining but Dr. Sperling had a hygienist who was able to clean it right up (as you can see in the picture)!

He took his time, made sure I was completely numb, and constantly checked that I wasn't feeling any pain. During my second crown appointment, I unexpectedly had a panic attack. Dr. Jafari spent over 20 minutes patiently helping me calm down. He never made me feel rushed and even offered to reschedule if I wasn't comfortable continuing. It was clear that my well-being was far more important to him than staying on schedule. Once I felt better, I chose to continue with the procedure. Unfortunately, a 3D scan by my root canal dr showed I had to have a tooth extracted. My first time and I was terrified. He referred me to Sang Kim and I went there that day. Sang Kim met with me for about 5 minutes and said he would be pulling my tooth right then. I was shocked, this meeting was to be a consultation! The office staff came in 1 minute later, quickly ran through the procedure (with generic images online), had me sign a consent form, and had me pay over $2,000 RIGHT THEN. I have insurance, but they wanted their cash before issuing to insurance. They even said if my insurance sent me a credit, to bring the check to them! What?! While sitting their confused and now broke, all I could think was this guy was recommended by my dentist and I trust my dentist. BIG MISTAKE! If it feels wrong, it is wrong. Here is the situation, my tooth (a previous root canal tooth) got infected to the point it had deteriorated the bone under the gum. It was the infection that hurt and the reason I went to the dentist. Was it painful, yes. But not so painful I couldn't wait a few days to let some antibiotics clear it up before surgery. Sang Kim did not give me that option. Nor did he give me the option for sedation. 10 minutes after forking over a huge sum of money, I was in the chair getting numbed. Here is the first of what was soon to be the most painful experience EVER! The tech didn't put the surface numbing gel everywhere the dr would inject the numbing needle. When he hit the un-numbed area in my mouth it was like my brain was struck with lightning. I screamed with pain. He didn't stop - just said this was the most painful part. A few minutes later, he started pulling. I would tell him, "I can feel this, it hurts!" He didn't stop. Again I tell him, "I can feel this, it hurts!". He didn't stop. It is so painful, I start crying uncontrollably. He only stopped when he had the tooth pulled. After a small break, he resumed work to clear out the infected areas. AGAIN I tell him, "this hurts, I can feel it!". He didn't stop. I start crying again, tears flowing down my face, He doesn't stop. I start screaming in pain. He only stops to bring in more staff and shuts the door - apparently more afraid about those in the waiting room than the excruciating pain I was enduring. After another small break, so I could get my crying under control, he returns for the bone grafting - again I CAN FEEL IT AND IT HURTS! At this point I'm physically pushing their hands/instruments away from my face. Once he is done, I'm laying there crying. He nor his staff did anything to help me. All they would say was "That was a bad infection". So I ask, then why not let me take antibiotics before the procedure, or give me the option for sedation. They said nothing. I felt so violated! I'm in so much pain and crying so hard I could barely see to drive home. No one should EVER go to this place! All he cared about was getting paid - he showed no regard for my wellbeing. The surgery was performed 10/2/2025.

I had a lot of dental work done here; I wish I had gone elsewhere sooner as if they do not like you (this includes the dentist) you will be bullied as if you were in middle school. Most of the dental work done was good, but there was a major problem with one of the crowns which meant I had to go elsewhere. The office is clean, the hygenists are capable but this environment is not safe for anyone, including themselves because of the group bullying. I hope they get help with their anger issues.

I've never run into this at other practices. If not outright illegal, these methods are certainly unethical. Dr. Jang and his hygienst are fine, but overall this place leaves a bad aftertaste, and not worth being a patient here. My experience lines up almost point for point with the other critical reviews here. I'd treat the 5-star reviews with a healthy dose of skepticism. A lot of them look like bots or paid placements.

The aspect of this visit that made it worth reviewing in a public forum is that I had several questions and worries about the treatment/procedure, and was able to engage Dr. Lee directly and privately on those, and he responded immediately, clearly, expansively, and kindly. This is what we should look for in a health care provider. Someone we can trust. I would think that anybody could count on EE and the professionals there for exceptional medical care and, atop that, actual care for you as a human being.
