I have to admit that I am somewhat impressed with their evolution over time, namely in regards to the beers that are available, and the fact that they have raised the concept of a sports bar to a new level, namely that they feel much better to sit down with a drink, and a lot less sleazy, that others. I actually prefer the pokies pub up the road - and I momentarily forget its name - despite the fact that I detest pokies. The atmosphere is better there. The staff have been lovely there when I've visited. Tim E's review encourages me to discount thoughts of ever eating at the Sporting Club. In the end the only thing I really liked was the name of the place although a person I trust likes this place. Such is life. PS - I later remembered the name of the pub up the road. It's called The Vine. The front bar is called The Vineyard. In all of Melbourne there's not a place that looks less like a vineyard.

Of course, upon seeing a pub that I hadn't visited before, it was a no-brainer that I was going to jump off of the tram and go and check it out, and of course, have a beer as well. In fact, as a place for a beer, it wasn't bad, though I certainly wouldn't consider it to be one of the best places that I have visited. Half way through eating a staff member ran over and informed me! Then another man that worked there approached me telling me his staff member didn't tell me that, and I was wrong, with not even a apology. He kept at me for about a hour until it was confirmed by another member of the party that someone else was told the same thing, we barely even got a apology. I definitely won't be back and hope the next time someone has a issue they tr rectify it and see if there is anything that can be done to help the situation rather than make the patron feel attacked.

Its great for watching the game - usually get a few others with the same idea in mind. I have had a few meals - a few hit & misses however I have recently discovered their "Gourmet Lamb Burger". Its amazingly delicious: "Gourmet Lamb Burger - with a hint of spice layered in a toasted bun with dill pickles, lettuce, cheese, aioli served with chips" (See pics). Its served on this annoyingly narrow wooden board which makes it hard not to make a mess but the lamb pattie is simply amazing :) Uploading pics... burger - recommended!

Actually, it turned out that it really wasn't all that great - just a typical suburban pub with pokie machines and a sports bar. However, if you ignore the pokies room (which can be a little hard at times) the front bar isn't all that bad, and even has the occassional live music. As for me I'd probably come back here, but only because it is conveniently located across the road from the Camberwell Railway Station.

When you just want to drink all these factors become pretty important. Comprising of a few different levels, an outdoors area and a lot of seating, Nevermind pulls steady crowds and has a really nice atmosphere. I've never felt uncomfortable or picked up any dodgy vibes. Its just a nice location and is filled with seemingly nice people. Due to the large amount of couches Nevermind is the perfect location to catch up with friends or even hold an event. The only thing I have a problem with is continuously walking up and down stairs to get drinks but it doesn't seem to bother me too much once I've had a few.
