The cake was in buttercream rather than fondant. All the decorations were falling off and I had to reapply them myself. When I reached out to Sara, the response was "I did buttercream to save you some money" and "I'm not a professional baker". Like WHAT!!! I paid over $400 for this shit cake. I would have been more than happy to pay whatever it would be to have my cake look halfway decent... I specifically asked the photographer NOT to photograph the cake. NEVER going back...

Mary was very responsive on email and worked with our complicated travel schedules to arrange a "take home" tasting so we could select our cake flavors and frosting. While we didn't stretch her much as an artist (her gallery proves that she's as much a sculptor as a baker), she was very attentive to our simpler aesthetic and produced exactly the grand, elegant wedding cake we had hoped for.
