This is a long review but my experience was horrible. If you are wanting quality work DO NOT use…read morethis company. sealant applied uneven, no pride taken in his work, should of been a 8+ hour job and he did it in 2 1/2. below is my review. April 29th 2025 I contacted shady pines rv and they referred me to this company to get my roof fixed. I had two spots that were rotting and it needed to be resealed. I contacted Brad Taylor who came out on May 1st and did an estimate for me. cut the roof open, remove the rotten wood, replace the wood, apply sheet metal and then reseal the entire roof for $2300. He advised me that this would only take a day to do and that he had done plenty in the past and never had any issues. I contacted him later that day and scheduled my roof to be done on the 7th in the morning. May 6th I reached out regarding warranty and he rescheduled the roof for the following week but did not give a date. The next week came and I had heard nothing so I contacted another company to come out on the 14th to give me an estimate on the roof. May 13th, Brad reached out to me to confirm him doing the roof on the 14th and I scheduled it for the 15th due to the estimate being done. The other company was not able to make it out so I went ahead and proceeded with Brad to get the roof done. He got there at 8:15 am and was finished by 10:30 am at the latest. He told me that it wasn't that bad and everything went along fine. I paid him and he left. Monday may 19th I messaged him about the skylight and he said he would come out on Wednesday May 21st to look at it. Never showed. Friday May 23 My ac started leaking condensation in the camper. I got on the roof and realized the job was not even completed per what he quoted me and the sealant was pealing around the ac (sitting water all around the ac due to the sealant) I reached out again and advised of my findings. He said he would come and get it taken care of. Instead he sent his son. Nothing got done at all. I reached out again on May 23rd @ 8pm to him saying it was to late to come (obviously). He showed up May 24th - tried to gaslight me and tell me that the back of the camper wasn't that bad when he gave the quote ( yes it was ) He told me that he would get it fixed and reseal around the ac unit again but wouldn't be able to do it until May 27th. May 27th he got there and fixed the back and resealed around the ac. told me that he is not able to replace the wood in the camper roof but applied sheet metal and sealed (still charged me as if he was putting wood in my roof even though he didn't) May 28 - reached out again regarding bubbling in the back where he just fixed, cracking in the sealant he applied, and concerns about adhesion. Sent him pictures and videos he adv of a 48 hour curing time. told me there are no bubbles its just applied thick. I told him I contacted another company and showed them the videos and pictures and they said it seems the silicone is not adhering to the roof membrane. May 28th he came by and looked, used a box cutter to cut out the bubbling I was talking about that wasn't there according to him to just pour more sealant on top of it. He said his sealant was doing its job and blamed it on my membrane. June 7th I reached out about the sealant pealing again around my ac unit. At this point I was completely convinced that this guy did not care to fix my problems that he caused and he was just trying to make a quick buck off of me. ($2380.50). I filed a dispute with my bank on June 8th. I had to get my roof completely redone all together ($6,000) due to what he did to my roof and as of Aug 19 my dispute was approved in my favor. The company who redid my roof the second time said that the coating was not even adhered correctly due to improper preparation before installation.

This is a difficult review to write. I am posting the bill that I received for a tuneup on a Ford…read more450 v10 gas engine on my motorhome. I did not get an estimate in advance, which is partly my fault, but I was also never offered one. The tuneup included spark plugs, oil, oil filter and air filter. I also asked that they put 4 screws to mount a fresh water pump (not on the engine; for the coach). The water pump was already installed (water and electricity along with testing) so they just needed to place 4 screws into a wall to mount it. For this amount of service I was charged $2300. That seems to be light years beyond a reasonable price for a tuneup. The owner, Colton, explained that there is a chart for mechanics to use that has expected times listed for certain jobs and that following this chart was a fair practice. I was charged for 10 hours of labor even though it actually took about half that time. At a rate of $150 per hour, that really adds up. Colton also claims that if they got the job done in one hour, they would still gladly charge $1500 in labor if this chart says the job should take 10 hours. As I voiced my great displeasure with my bill, Colton did make a small offer to compensate me, but it was far short of bringing this bill to a fair price for this work. I also have no issue with the quality of the work. For these reasons, I give two stars instead of one. But I can't in good faith recommend this business to anyone due to unethical billing practices. But judge for yourself. Look at the picture of the bill on this review site. Would you feel comfortable paying $2300 for an oil change, 10 spark plugs and an air filter? Are you happy to pay for hours that were never spent on your job, especially at $150 per hour?

I saved money and now have a place that I can take my truck to if it ever acts up again. The price I paid for the repair was less than the quoted price of replacing the transmission. Our experience with AAMCO Transmission and Total Car Care has been less than satisfying…read more We initially took our 2005 F-150 to them in December to have the transmission replaced -- a $5,500 repair. In February, we had to take it back because it was having issues shifting into overdrive. They told us it needed a new solenoid motor -- another $560 out of pocket. Two weeks later, the dashboard lit up with transmission fault errors, sending us back to AAMCO for a third visit. They kept the truck for almost a month and ended up replacing the transmission again under warranty. When they finally called to tell us it was ready, they casually mentioned that the truck was overheating -- and even asked us if it had any overheating problems before bringing it to them (it absolutely did not). They told us we "wouldn't make it very far" with it overheating like it was -- but at that point, after waiting weeks already, my husband told them he would pick it up and handle it himself. It took us two hours to get it home because we had to stop every few miles to let it cool down. Once we got it home, we opened the hood and discovered the battery wasn't even bolted down -- it was just sitting loose, and there was NO transmission fluid even registering in the dipstick! We took the truck to a local shop near us for a second opinion and found out AAMCO had never flushed the radiator or transmission cooler when replacing the transmission -- a critical step to prevent overheating and protect the new transmission. That oversight cost us another $650 to have corrected properly. Communication throughout this entire ordeal was poor at best -- calls were not returned in a timely manner, updates were hard to get, and overall we feel like the quality of work was extremely lacking. We've now spent over $6,700 dealing with transmission issues because of this shop -- not including the lost time, stress, and frustration. We would strongly caution anyone considering AAMCO Transmission and Total Car Care to get a second opinion before trusting your vehicle here. Based on our experience, we absolutely would not recommend them.
