I got home and noticed a strange smell but thought my neighbor may have been burning something. I told my spouse about it and they checked beneath the car that night when they got home. There was an oil spot. Valvoline was closed and we live about 30 miles away. That morning, spouse checked my oil and it was completely dry and was saturated under the car. I immediately called and reported it to Valvoline. I have a full time job and kids and needed a car that was functioning so we had to get a local mechanic to look at it. He pulled the oil filter that Valvoline had put it in and it was busted/cracked. The air filter box screws were stripped and forced in so he took it off to check the air filter. It was tore up and bent as well. The undercarriage of my car was absolutely covered in oil. Multiple days later, I finally got a call back from Valvoline. I sent them all the pictures and mechanic reports. They decided they would not reimburse for the oil change, the mechanic cost to get my car back running, etc. Minorly - the time before this, I noticed a plastic piece hanging down from the bottom of my car. Told my spouse. He opened the hood and was able to fish it out. It was a filter grabbing/tightening tool. I asked Valvoline if it was theirs, they proudly said they used them during oil filter changes, I told them they left it in my engine. Very very upset at the cost of this mistake and how they are refusing to take responsibility and make it right. Very poor customer care.

The temporary spare didn't allow more than about 70-ish miles on it per trip, so we found the nearest big city (Texarkana) and nearest Discount Tire, which was handily on the highway! I booked an appointment for first thing next morning to replace the busted tire, and also inspect the rest since we noticed a nail in the tread of another while rotating the wheels to put the spare on the back. They knew we had to get on our way due to the note I left plus chatting with us, and were mindful of our timeframe and got us out in 30 minutes! (Pro Tip: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, no matter what.) I can't say enough about using Discount Tire for your tire needs: they specialize in this and know what they're doing! We had bought the "certificates" on these tires last time, not really knowing it would be used, but drove away paying only $49 to certify the new tire (saving over $200) with the other nail repair, inspection, mounting and balancing for free. I can't imagine using anyone else!

The person I spoke to was rude and kept saying "What you see online is correct. You just need to order it online". So I ordered it online. Later that day I get a call saying "We only have 3 of those wheels in the warehouse and cannot get any more. Would you like to pick another?" I said no. Just cancel the order. The next day I tried to order wheels somewhere else but couldn't because Discount still hasn't cancelled the order and issued me a refund. I called customer service and got no where with them either. Don't go to one of these places if you expect anything that resembles service.
