She helped me see what I was doing and how my unhealthy behavior hurt myself and others around me. She showed me how I consistently sabotaged myself in ways I just was not conscious of at that time. Since then, not only have I become very aware of my issues and the things I did to subconsciously push people away (especially when dating), but we worked on the underlying pain and issues that were causing me to act unhealthily. Whereas I was once incapable of not reacting and projecting my issues onto other people (Again, I couldn't even see what I was doing before seeing her), I am now able to attract different kind of people into my life and see unhealthy behavior in others so that I don't keep ending up in the same situations.
