I only came to the USA about a month ago and after having signed up with nearly all of the agencies here in Fort Lauderdale, Elite Crew International and Karina were one of the few to show me immediate support. I just had my first interview and the support which I felt today from Karina and her team were simply amazing! There are lots of yachties out there who say they never get a job through an agency not realizing that it's all about teamwork between candidate and agent and not only on a yacht. An agency, especially Elite, is a very busy organization who are impecable at reading people and their willingness to put in the effort back into the job before getting it. Anybody who says otherwise has probably not put that effort into the job or should not be in this industry ie Liquid Diamond. My advice to you, Liquid Diamond is to learn proper english grammar first, then to think about what you say about whom and then to write it down in a review. Being nasty to people will only take you a million steps backwards in the long run. K.C, there is a reason for everything and everything happens for a reason. I have been in Elite Crew's office and have been treated very nicely and professionally by all. I had a meeting with Karina Befeld, owner and manager of the company, she is so kind and thoughtful, also, she makes you feel like your needs take priority over anyone else's when she speaks to you. You can know with confidence that your needs will be met, as mine were. I would say to Liquid Diamond and K.C , it sounds more like they have a personal axe to grind, and that their comments are unfounded and hurtful at best. For a young, proffesional and comitted person looking to get into, or further a career in yachting, There is no better agency to be apart of than Elite. Despite having a solid maritime background, I found very little oppurtunities, encouragement, support or guidance from many other (major) crew agenciens when I was new to Yachting. After being accepted into Elite, I had multiple interviews with top boats within 48 hours. The service excelled on a personal level as gained to know the agents working on my behalf. I have been working with Elite Crew over the past five years as I have been looking for work and have been very happy with their job placement process. They have a bit more of an interview process than some of the other agencies, but it is a great way for them to ensure they have top notch candidates for their elite jobs. Not only did I find that they had jobs I was interested in and qualified for, but once they submitted me for a job, I actually heard from the job and got interviews. I have worked with every agency out there, and these ladies really do stand out - elite are the most professional, the most competent and most importantly, they deliver results. I have been associated with Elite Crew for about 10-years. I have always set up appointments prior to 'walking in'. They have shown professionalism, and time, for me, as well as the crew that i know who have been interviewed by them. The interviews which they have sent me to, have all been at the upper end of the yachtie spectrum. With me they did a thorough reference check, and tend to look for crew with longevity, and a good, clean, record. If you're a professional, it shouldn't be a problem to make an appointment first. I fully disagree with Liquid Diamond. Karina the owner of Elite Crew is the most amazing woman whom I have worked with multiple times over the past 3 years and she was always kind and professional. Karina has a reputation both nationally and Internationally as one of the best crew placement agencies for Mega Yachts and she lives up to that reputation with the highest values and integrity. Fully agree with KC. The owner of this agency Karina try to sell herself as loaded with Christian & godly values - ya! I think not!! Actually a few of the crew I've talk to re Elite says the same- more talk absolutely no positive action, I myself saw no positive outcome when I needed crew & they tried to help. She is indeed condescending. Such flakey woman. Very unprofessional on several occasions until I decided to not use this agency ever again to hire my stews. Awful woman really.
