SugarHouse Awning Industries is the best of the best! I highly recommend SugarHouse Awning…read moreIndustries to anyone who needs awning or covers of any kind. My project Is unique: two grand piano "shells" (hollow, no legs) that sit in a cage in the tow hitch of my truck. I had an old and deteriorating vinyl cover for the pianos to protect them from the elements as I tour the United States from Coast to coast all year. I set up an appointment with SugarHouse Awning Industries, went inside and was asked to pull my truck up to the back of the building where I was met by their team. They immediately started looking at the pianos, asking questions, and making notes. We took the pianos and the cage assembly off the truck. They shook my hand and said to come back in two days and it will be done. Two days later I came back and there was a beautiful black vinyl cover that fit the pianos perfectly. It had straps with snaps under and around the sides and it looked like a perfect fit. I paid for the job and left for my next concert tour. A few days into the tour some sections of the vinyl cover started to show signs of wear and tear. The wind of highway speeds for hours and days on end were damaging the vinyl cover. I took some pictures and sent them in an email to SugarHouse Awning Industries while on tour. They immediately replied and said that the team was meeting to discuss my job. I felt like I was in good hands. They replied and asked me to bring it back in when I returned to Utah and leave it with them for a couple of days. When I got back into town I drove to SugarHouse Awning Industries and again I was met by the team. They looked at the pianos, asked more questions, and made more notes. Again, we took the whole assembly off of the truck. I came back a few days later and they had made significant improvements with more straps, they tightened up the cover so it had less material flapping in the wind, reinforced it in different areas with patches, and made some other tweaks. Again, I said thank you very much and I was on my way. I was delighted and amazed at their customer service and commitment to making sure the job was done right and that I was satisfied. And there was no charge for the repairs and improvements. So, I went back out on the road for my next concert tour. The vinyl cover fit much better but after a few days into the tour it started to show signs of wear and tear again in certain places. Driving on highways for weeks really puts a lot of stress on the vinyl cover. I took more pictures of the damaged areas and sent another email to SugarHouse Awning Industries. They replied right away and said to bring it back in. So, when I came home to Utah a few weeks later I went back to SugarHouse Awning Industries again. I pulled the truck up and the team brought the whole assembly into the building. They kept it for a few days. I went back down and the vinyl cover was adjusted again with more straps, patches, and more tweaks and repairs. It was incredible! They were so enthusiastic. I could tell that they love what they do and they really seemed intrigued by the challenges my project presented to them. So, now I have it again and I believe they got it right. I have been back out on tour for many weeks and the vinyl cover fits tightly, the straps all fit perfectly, it is not flapping in the wind, and it seems to be holding up very well to highway speeds for days on end. On top of that they gave me a can of glue and two rolls of vinyl so I can make repairs on the road if I need to. All at no extra charge! The team at SugarHouse Awning Industries rose to the challenge of my unique job. They went above and beyond doing and they wouldn't stop until the job was done right. I highly recommend SugarHouse Awning Industries to anyone who needs awning or covers of any kind. They have a great team, and their customer service is incredible! What a great company. Thank you SugarHouse Awning Industries! I am a customer for life. You are the best of the best! Rich Wyman

I ordered a custom ratchet strap cover in July of 2025. In September some of the stitching on the…read moreback was coming undone, there was a tear where it goes around the boat tower, the Sugarhouse patch was sewn on upside down. And some of the gray coating on the cover was coming off where we pull on it, to put it on. Then we took it to Lake Powell, both plastic clips on the side broke 30 min into the drive home, the flapping dented both sides of my boat. But it also made holes in the cover and ruined the fabric and took the coating off. (30 min of flapping while driving) Also the cover was supposed to be waterproof, I went out to check it in the rain and found my boat soaked with standing water in all compartments and on the seats. I contacted Sugarhouse Industries. They are working on the problem. They started to claim I should have taken the cover off when the clips broke to prevent damage to the cover. Flapping in the wind shouldn't damage a travel cover. Ill update when the solution is solved. At almost $3,000 for a cover none of this should be happening on day 67 of owning it.
