Three months after I began renovating my home, I decided to upgrade the window treatments.  I had one major problem though.  When I asked friends and family for referrals, few offered vendor suggestions known for high-quality work at a great price.  Already, I had invested many hours and resources into creating a living space with a fresh, new look.  The thought of hiring someone I did not know for a project that would have a huge aesthetic impact on my home made me feel uneasy, to say the least.  I decided to search Yelp for prospects, which yielded 2 and a possible.  I called and invited 2 of the vendors over for an estimate.  JC was the second of the two.  After I spoke to him, it was a done deal for 4 reasons.  First, when he began describing the options for my windows, he was PASSIONATE.  It was obvious he knew what he was doing.  Second, many of his former clients had written excellent reviews detailing the work he'd done for them and his propensity for professionalism.  The photos posted further evidenced his ability to deliver what I wanted.  Third, all of his products are manufactured in Miami, which matters to me because I did not want to incorporate foreign wood into my window treatments.  Finally, he offered a competitive price I could not refuse. After reviewing 2 proposals, I opted to place plantation shutters on all of the windows, zebra blinds on the sliding glass doors (2), and wood blinds on the front door panels.  I gave JC a deposit, and he communicated an install date of 2 weeks.
