I loved this event! It was perfect weather for the mat pilates at Kingan and the night stroll guided by Jo to JoJo's. The food was also super delicious. I had wondered what mat pilates was like, and the instructor Ashley, really challenged us! I don't know if I was prepared for that ab workout, but it was necessary - a big meal was waiting for us. Kingan Gardens was a great space for the yoga or any special event you might have. Bug spray was provided for us but I was eaten alive. Live and learn, I must dip myself in deet to be left alone by the biting bugs! If you're looking for a great workout that's joint friendly, go see Ashley. If you need a beautiful, outdoor event space downtown, try Kingan Garden. Jo from JoJo's restaurant met us at Kingan and personally guided us on a neighborhood walk. She shared some history about the neighborhood and then provided us with so much delicious food! We had our choice of cocktails, vegan brussels, vegan potato salad, nachos, shrimp skewers, chicken shawarma, vegan bahn mi, and baked goods. This Yelp event had so much great food and fellowship. Another wonderful experience! Thank you massively to Yelp and always to all the local businesses who participate. The Pilates was fun! It was my first time and I knew it would be a 'yummy' challenge. Practicing in the gardens was a dream, minus some of the bugs. I've never heard of Kingan Gardens but wow is it stunning. Quite the venue indeed. I've been to jojos before and love it! It was everything and having not been there since they've upgraded, I was happily shocked with the upgrades all around! What a really wonderful experience with some amazing local businesses. What a wonderful evening!!!!!! First of all, the weather was just perfect! Absolutely stunning venue for the outdoor pilates class!! Loved every minute of it. Hummingbirds were paid actors!! This event was off the charts! Ashley gave us a challenging Pilates workout in the beautiful Kingan gardens. I had no idea that place existed and was in awe at how lush the outside venue is. Jo from Jojo's came and walked us to her restaurant and she was the friendliest most gracious host ever. She genuinely cared that every single person was satisfied and was enjoying her restaurant. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. I loved the Brussels sprouts. We were stuffed and then out they came with 2 trays of desserts! The patio is huge and perfect for any occasion. I will not hesitate to recommend Jojo's for anyone looking for a delicious meal and I can't wait to go back to support them. Thank you so much for this opportunity. read more

Tucson is the best city for hidden gems. Kingan Gardens was one of them! What an absolutely breathtaking venue. I am so excited that we were able to enjoy a great Pilates class while basking in the beauty and greenery of the gardens. The hosts were absolutely amazing, they even provided us with bug spray to ensure we weren't bitten by the mosquitos. And then.... Jo from JoJo's restaurant was the absolute sweetest and most gracious host. We were able to sample lots of items from the menu and even some vegan options that were delicious even for non-vegan folks like myself. This was such a fun event full of movement food and healthy detox drinks. I love the little socks that came with the event and I had an amazing Pilates class led my Ashleigh. The entire night was such a treat for anyone who loves movement and connections. I met dome amazing ladies. I also thought the class was so fun and definitely beginner friendly.. the garden was a beautiful place to have this event because the sound of waterfall and birds just made the experience that much more healing. This was really really fun and very well planned. Kingan Gardens is a beautiful location and I really enjoyed the sound of the water fountain behind me during the outdoor pilates class. I would have skipped the music and just listened to the beautiful water sounds but the music was not loud at all and the atmosphere was lovely.I enjoyed the pilates class (first time for me) and loved seeing the hummingbirds above when I was on my back. The Yelp pilates socks are adorable and the cold lavender towels at the end were a nice touch. I enjoyed trying the juice shot from the DetoxTalk Club. That carrot- pineapple one was so good. Bug spray was available and helped with the mosquitos at Kingan Gardens but I will say that I think it's something to be addressed there becouse it's early in the year to have so many mosquitos there and it seems like they have a still water issue there that needs to be fixed. I wonder if they turn off the water fountain when they are closed instead of making sure the water is alway moving. Or something of that sort. The food at Jojo's after was delicious and was so nice. It was on the late side for me and I was on the fence about staying for that but was so happy I did. Meeting Jo and speaking with her was the cherry on top: She was so warm and generous. My favorites were the brussels sprouts with salsa macha and chives, the potato salad with green goddess dressing and the sonoran sunset non alcoholic beverage with hibiscus, ginger. conte spirit-free aperitif and lemon-lime soda. I also enjoyed the desserts. Jo was so kind to give us some to-go containers for leftovers and the kind staff kept asking if we wanted more drinks. I had so much fun and felt very spoiled! I shared my dinner table with two very lovely ladies. The only thing I would have changed for myself if I could was making the event a little earlier, even just 30 min earlier start. But it was such an enjoyable, well planned and thoughtful event that was worth eating on the later side and staying up a little later than I normally would. Such an amazing event with a beginner friendly Pilates class that was a killer workout in the gardens - such a beautiful space for movement. Delicious detox shots as well were offered! Pilates followed up with a walk to Jojo's for food & drinks with Jo leading the way was perfect. This was an amazing event. Wow, what an amazing event! Kingan Gardens is such a beautiful venue. Walking around, I was constantly in awe of how pretty and big of a space it is. The greenery, the lights, and the cat were some of the things that made this place feel like a little oasis or vacation away from home. The mat Pilates was such a great work out and the instructor was very knowledgeable! I really enjoyed her hands on approach because she was able to come help me fix my form or fully get into a stretch. The walk to Jojo's restaurant was a very nice walk, with really cool views of beautiful city murals and tall buildings. The food was delicious. My favorite was the potato salad; it was very light and fresh, which I have never experienced from a potato salad before. The outside seating area was very cozy, and I enjoyed the live music when we first arrived. This event felt magical and empowering, and I met some awesome people because of it! read more

What a beautiful evening! I loved Pilates in the garden with post eats at JoJo's! First off, I'm glad I parked in the parking lot down the alley at the end because if I hadn't I wouldn't have met this totally great girl. Meeting new people at these Yelp events is a really special aspect. I have never been inside Kingan Gardens and loved how beautiful it was. The plants were really thriving here! I'd love to do a guest tour of the property one day. The Yelp socks are SO cute! Thank you! I enjoyed the beet base juice shot from Detoxtalkss. It was fresh. The instructor from The Move Pilates studio was knowledgeable and I learned a lot from her instructions. I've got a weak body so this was a great Pilates class tonight. Even though the mosquitos dined on my fine flesh I appreciated the bug spray!! Walking over as a group to JoJo's was also fun. I enjoyed all the tasty bites, the Shrimp Al Pastor was my fave!
