I must admit I never had a Sonoran hotdog before. Today I had one with a side of chili and a can of Crusher Mexican Lager to make this a tasty meal on a hot Tuesday afternoon. The creamed avocado was well paired with onions and tomatoes, and dusted with grated white cheese (queso cotija). It also came with a slice of bacon, which I cut in half and gave to my dogs. This one dog was quite filling. Food and service were on par. I ate my meal on the shaded dog-friendly patio while my dogs relaxed. Ana tended to me and we had a pleasant conversation before I left the restaurant. This is a nice location, with easy access off the main road and ample parking, with a very clean interior and decor.

This event helped me explore a part of town I don't spend much time in. Brought the wife and kids to lunch here and we had a good time. My wife doesn't eat red meat so she appreciated the soy chorizo and all the other vegan choices. I got the Elotero dog, my kids got the hot dog kids meals and my wife got the Elote corn with soy chorizo and really enjoyed the fresh salsa. I would have loved some pickled onions and cilantro to brighten the flavors, but overall it was good. The service was friendly and it was encouraging to see so many people there supporting local business. If you're in the area and like hot dogs this is worth checking out.

I had gotten food here once before but it was takeout and that just did not work for hot dogs. The food did not hold up well, so we never made a point to come back. So with this event my husband and I decided to dine in with our 1 year old daughter. I got the Hawaiian dog and it was extremely delicious, although the bun was on the stale side. I devoured it nonetheless. My husband got a steak quesadilla for $17.50, which for an order at the counter kind of place seemed extremely high to me. But he loved it and said it was one of the best quesadillas he's had. I tried it and it was good but extremely greasy. Service could have been improved. I was never offered the Yelp swag and the place was.....less than clean. It looked like the tables hadn't been wiped down all day. And it's not like they couldn't do it; the employee sat at the counter for a long time just looking at his phone while we were the only customers in there. There were bottles and cups on multiple tables from previous customers that were never picked up while we were there. The food is definitely good and we enjoyed having a little family outing, but this place could use a little love to make it even better.

We loved this place! It is a small place in a shopping center, a little hard to locate but we are happy we did this Elite! The staff were very friendly and helpful, even explaining the meaning of blacktop grill (hint it is not about a satire or bbq grill). The food was lovely even for the vegetarian. We had the mango quesadilla and Mexican street corn with soy-rizo. The flavors were excellent with a nice amount tajin for salty, citrus, spicy flavor. The cheese just melted out of the quesadilla making it a gooey delicious meal. The Sonoran dog was solid with a nice blend of citrus, spice, cheese, and salt. The hot dog was juicy and grilled nicely. The avocado cream sauce was a hit! The ta-KETO was a nice crispy cheese, just a bit darker than we prefer but sill good. The steak was tender and well-seasoned and it was a joy to eat. The salsa and street corn and chips were the biggest standouts in terms of flavor, freshness, and balance. The lives were excellent and make it a reliable place to go for a great meal! We loved it and will be bringing people from work.

Tasty hotdogs & friendly owners. Great indoor dining space. If I'm in the area, I'd come back to try their other hot dog options (though it is a bit pricier than I'd like). I got the sonoran dog & it was made to order. Loved the fresh tomatos on top. Unlike some of the other sonoran dogs I've had, I could taste the subtle bacon bits in the topping as well.

A modern business look to this restaurant that sells a variety of Tucson classics. Super friendly staff that explained the gist of their menu and the favorites. Went with the Sonoran dog and it was delicious, cram full of cheese, chili and onions. Loads of flavor. This restaurant is an easy choice for groups with their variety of options!

I really enjoyed the opportunity to go to this restaurant through July's a Yelp experience. I initially thought I'd never been but then looking back at my Yelp, I saw I was the first review ! Turns out, I had ordered takeout from Uber eats once and never knew where the actual restaurant was! Anyway very happy to know where the storefront is now. They have delicious food! I ordered the Elotero dog and again, was not disappointed. The flavor, size, and pricing all works well and the selection of hot dogs is awesome. I also ordered Ta-Ketos which were good as well, but a bit steep in 2 smallish sized rolls you get (if you ask me). I initially was not sure how I felt about my apple float, but ultimately enjoyed the it, especially as it melted and became creamier. I also was not offered the Yelp swag but Service was friendly. I will definitely return !

Went out searching for a Sonoran Hot Dog and found something even better! Got their new Popper Dog. So good! Friendly service. Pretty quick but it wa freshly made so it took a few minutes. We'll be back!

Awesome local food truck turned to brick and mortar restaurant. The Sonoran Dog is well built. The hotdog provides a good meat to bun ratio. To handle that much awesomeness of the Sonoran Dog a sturdy bun is needed. I had a chance to talk to the staff and they care about the products they're making and it's awesome. I would eat here more often, but it's a good haul from downtown. Definitely eat here if you're in the area or craving an excellent hot dog.

Blacktop Grill hits it out of the park every time! I already knew I loved the hot dogs (I'd previously tried the chile relleno and elotero), so I was thrilled to get to come back and try something new. I ordered over the phone for takeout, and the first two calls I made went to some sort of message service asking me to enter my area code--I think perhaps the line was busy, because I got through on my third try a few minutes later. The service here is really friendly, and the restaurant is clean and inviting with a large patio for the cooler months. I love a good Sonoran dog but tend to only order them at food trucks and hole-in-the-wall places. However, Blacktop used to be a food truck only before this brick-and-mortar opened, so I figured it was about time I gave theirs a try. This Sonoran dog was on point with fresh tomatoes, cotija, and the avocado crema and beans served on the side. The hot dog itself is top-notch, and the bacon was crispy. The bun isn't as fluffy as a true bolillo, but it still holds together well and tastes fresh. I also ordered a chile relleno dog for my fiancé and an order of steak ta-ketos for us to split. We were stuffed after, but everything was delicious! I also appreciated how securely everything was packaged for takeout. Our food was still warm and held together by the time we got home. Thanks for another great event, Blacktop Grill and Yelp!

I got to try some really great and unique Sonoran dogs at this place tucked into the Basha's shopping plaza. The Chile Relleno dog was my favorite, and as the name implies, it is a hot dog topped with cheese stuffed green chiles. Really delicious! I also tried and liked the Sonoran dog and Elotero dog. The Sonoran is a pretty classic presentation but the ingredients are top notch. The Elotero dog was interesting and the components were great, but I learned that I prefer to have my Mexican style corn as a side dish rather than a topping on a hot dog. But props for creativity! Finally I had to try the apple pie float. It's made with apple soda, vanilla ice cream, and cinnamon syrup. It was really different and good, lighter and more refreshing than a typical root beer float. The space is light and clean and the service is very friendly. The woman at the counter was helpful with explanations and suggestions. Besides hot dogs, they also have cheese shell ta-Keto's & quesadillas, sandwiches, salads, loaded fries, and even a vegan menu. They also offer alcoholic drinks - 2 draft beers, variety of can beers, and two mixed drinks - a Paloma and Michelada. I want to come back and try some of the Mexican food offerings!

I love the various unique items offered here. The cashier was courteous and food came out quickly. I wasn't offered any yelp swag but I'm not sure if that was part of this experience. The food was fresh and tasty, I enjoyed my complimentary Sonoran dog and purchased some elote which was good and had a lot of flavor mixed together but was a bit too greasy for me to enjoy more than a few bites. Overall it was a good experience.

What a great experience the food was delicious. Greeted with a smile from Megan she walked us through the menu and we made the perfect choices. We got the Elotero Dog and the Chile Relleno Dog (Thank you Yelp) both were delicious but my favorite was the Steak Ta-Ketos, served on a Queso cotija with white onion, cilantro, and avocado cream. It was epic a definite must try!

The staff was incredibly sweet and made me feel welcome. I ordered the combo meal with a corn dog, fries, and a drink ($13), selecting the crispy rice corn dog (half cheese, half dog, of course), kimchi fries, and a taro boba (additional $2). Unfortunately, the crispy rice and sugar combo was just nooooot the right move. I definitely should have picked something else because the texture of the crispy rice was dry, and coupled with the sugar... It was just not a great experience to say the least, haha. The kimchi fries were flavorful and crunchy, so I have no complaints about that. But the boba... Hooooly. It was the worst boba I've ever had, and that's not an exaggeration. The texture of the taro (milk tea??) was close to pudding, so it was like I was chewing my drink--which is the expectation when you're eating *boba*, but not drinking *tea*. The flavor was decent, but it was so difficult to drink because it was just thick and gooey. It was genuinely horrendous. Worse yet, the boba was wrong! The tapioca pearls weren't sweet and chewy; instead, they were cakey and broke in one bite! No chew, no flavor, then combine it with the gooey, pudding-like taro "milk tea" makes for the worst boba drink ever. Overall, I can't write off Two Hands because I KNOW that their other corn dogs are good, but DO NOT waste your money on a boba. Just hop across the street for Ni Hao Tea.
