Amazing first time experience at Dragon Lights at the Wibur May Arboretum. Perfect, calm weather, a little chilled, but nice for walking. The displays were magical. It was fun watching the children playing and being amazed by all of the animation. The staff were helpful and friendly. Grateful for the opportunity to attend this outdoor event. Thank you Dragon Lights and Yelp!

This was our first year going. We walked through in about 30 minutes. My favorite part was watching and hearing all the little kids giggling with glee and running everywhere, "Ohing and Ahing". Their glee was contagious and uplifting. There were only three food trucks last night: a Boba truck, a Fried Food Truck, and a Snow Cones truck. My husband got a chicken strip basket with fries. Everything was hot and flavorful. I only saw one vendor that was selling Chinese horoscope items and crafts. Most people were smiling and taking lots of pictures. The large Yellow and Orange dragon was my favorite. I wished there were more lighting for the paths, as it got darker, and not all of the path was lit. I really enjoyed the benches that were dispersed throughout the paths, giving participants time to sit and enjoy the experience while relaxing and taking in the sights. Thank you, Dragon Lights Reno and Yelp, for the tickets and the ability to experience this cultural event. Thanks!

Feeling just so incredibly thankful my family and I got to make such unforgettable memories at dragon lights this year. This was our first time and it will definitely not be our last. From the minute you walk in from the parking lot you are greeted by the most amazing lights that display various animals, plants and flowers. Every employee greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcomed. There was so much to do and fun interactions for my kids such as riding a bike to pump power, a light up dance floor, arcade games, photo props, fun swings that light up and so much more. We ended up packing snacks for our littles so we didn't get to enjoy the food trucks this time but I can't wait to come back and try them out! The theme was underwater creatures and it was truly so fascinating. It was cool we got to learn more about creatures and plants we never had heard about. My favorite from the whole night was the sleeping bear at the end. It was amazing to see the trees swaying in the background with the birds moving and the bear breathing. It all looked so real!

Awesome to be able to go again after a couple of years, but sad to say my expectations were really way higher then this. First off upon waking into the food truck area, there was only 2 trucks with FOOD food, one being tacos and one being Doggy Style Korean corn dogs. I just really expected more food so we didn't eat first, ended up eating after getting back home. There was another stand of shaved ice, one of apparently funnel cakes and then Num Num Boba. So that knocks it down a little peg, but as far as the displays and events, I just found it really underwhelming this time and overall it just seemed cheap. $100+ for a family of 4 is a lot of money, and we walked through the entire installation in less then 30 minutes. I'm not impressed with the quality for sure, that alone will keep me away next time. The value for money just really isn't there anymore. This used to be a really cool event, but they need to work a bit harder at that price point.

Dragon lights never disappoints! This year's theme was Odyssey of Waves and Woods. This Asian inspired cultural festival is simply spectacular! This is such a great event to take your out of town guests or just a good ole' family outing. It is completely family friendly and interactive for the littles. Accessibility is easy, parking is free and don't forget to bundle up and where your comfy shoes for this outdoor experience.

The Dragon Light Festival was pretty chill. Literally. With a few good food vendors, a wonderful exhibit of lights, automation and music, this year's festival felt smaller, however it didn't take away from the fun and creativity on display. The temperatures I would've imagined kept folks inside, but even with the 41 degree chilly air, kids of all ages, young, small and in strollers, families--still turned out to marvel at the display. It was pretty nice though. Looking forward to next year. Hopefully it's warmer.

Dragon lights really brought it on this year. I went on a Wednesday night around 7:20 and there really weren't that many people there at all. At many times we were on the path by ourselves, which made it even more magical and romantic. Every other year I have been it's super busy. I love the vibrant colors and the whimsical side it brings out in me. My date kept saying "I love to see you so happy". It's truly an an amazing display year after year that is fulfilling to young and old alike. Great for families but also couples. I learned it takes a team of 25 people about 2 weeks to set it up. That is incredible. Thank you for keeping this tradition alive and well for Reno families to enjoy . It is my favorite yearly thing to do in Reno, hands down. Cool crisp air and fun exercise are also greatly appreciated. The colors! So vibrant. I love seeing the creativeness like the tummy moving and on the sleeping bear. The twinkling lantern tunnel had my heart this year. It really felt like we were surrounded by 200 candles.

    Liz S.

We haven't been in a couple of years so it was really fun to experience this again--and this year through the eyes of a 2 year old! It's a pretty magical display, and my son loved pointing out all the animals he saw. The lantern tunnel was one of our favorites too. In the words of my son: "Mama it's beautiful" I felt like there were more interactive parts than I the last time we came, which was a welcomed addition!

    Sofia R.

Finally went to see the dragon lights and I can see why families love it! It was really nicely step up and it's pretty self explanatory and how to get around and there's food trucks and bathrooms! There's even an arcade and different interactive games you can do with the drain lights. I did enjoy it and seeing the art and the detail that goes into setting this up. But I will say this felt more family and kid orientated, which is great for families. I loved the fantasy forest and the ocean section. It was so creative and was cool to walk through. It felt like The perfect amount of lights, not too little and not too much. I can see why people rave about this every year, take your kids, nieces and nephews, they'll love it

    Joanna B.

Another amazing year at dragon lights! This is one of our favorite family events all year. This year our son is 2 and he was obsessed with everything. I love how the displays change yearly so it's never exactly the same. My favorite this year was probably the lantern tunnel. This year I felt they had way more interactive displays which was fun to participate in and really got everyone going. They also had food trucks and some gifts for purchase. Staff was friendly as always and we had a great time. We will go back again next year!

I feel like I picked the perfect night to check out the 2025 Dragon Lights experience! I invited a couple friends and we made it a night out! The weather was perfect and it wasn't crowded. Loved seeing some similar art from last year and the new exhibits too! I felt this year had more areas that were "hands on" like riding a bicycle to make music and we checked out the mini arcade area! I loved it all! My favorite area was the sleeping bear and the giant tree! Overall great experience. Thanks to everyone who put this together. I will definitely let all my friends know to check it out before the month ends! P.S- it would be cool to get a behind the scenes experience of how all the art comes together and how it all works!

This event is a super cool experience, you should see it at least one time. The lighting feels magical at times, transporting you under the see or into some other imaginary world. This was my second year seeing the Dragon Lights festival so some of the magic was lessened, It's a place to see happy couples, happy families with kids and some kids in melt down mode as they beg their parents to make one more lap through the lit displays. My favorite this year was the big bear napping on a rock, surrounded by unicorns and birds. I grabbed a plate of bulgogi fries at one of the food trucks and enjoyed a moment to refresh and people watch. It would be cool to see a wider assortment of food trucks here as the lines can get long. More food trucks and then remove the cheesy souvenir shop and arcade. Why I did not give 5 stars: * The 6 o'clock period is extremely busy. There is not enough parking to handle the crowds. We had to drive around a bit searching, eventually finding an overflow dirt lot 1/3 of a mile from the entrance. * Some of the interactive displays were not functional or in disrepair last night. There was no smoke from the dragon. Half of the lights in the swings weren't functional. * I found myself wanting to come back today with a leaf blower. There's a lot of leaves this time of year and many of the flower displays were covered in fallen leafs, taking away from the beauty of the lights. * The use of large generators to power the lights is a distraction. It seems by now that the park could upgrade their power system to handle this event. This might encourage other events as well.

    Shannon S.

What a great event! I have not attended before now.....it s amazing how all of it is put together. I know there has to be so much planning and set up for a vent like this. All of the colors are magical and the detail of the displays is amazing. I will definitely not miss this event again!

Over the weekend I stopped in at one of my most favorite places- SÜP, for their RBW special trio of soups and a mini loaf of bread for $10. They have participated all seven years. I get this to go, and it becomes lunch for three days. Always delicious. Not on Monday, I finally got to Moo Dang. I am such a wimp when it comes to spicy, but I still enjoy Asian foods. The RBW special was Drunken Noodles (zero spice for me) and a Big Chang Beer for $10. The noodles still had fabulous flavor and the beer I sent to another table- cheers. Wednesday was continuing the RBW dine with friends. Erica and went to Zozo's for their over the top $30 RBW special. So many choices !!! Probably the best bargain during the event. Appetizer, soup or salad, main, and dessert all for $30. Oh, and don't forget their very addictive basket of garlic bread. Yep, easily two meals here. See separate Zozo's review for all the food. So indecisive and running out of time. Thursday I ran up to Skyline Kitchen and Vine. $30 for an adult beverage, appetizer, main and dessert. Craving a burger, I did the 8 oz Kobe Burger, topped with caramelized onions, white cheddar, and a steak sauce aioli. Check restaurant review for full food description. Another busy Friday, but Claudy came up from Carson to try the RBW $10 lunch special at Chihuahua's on South Virginia across from the Lexus dealer. Plenty of food for the price. Chips and salsa arrived first. Then platter of a beef enchilada and a chili Relleno with beans and rice. The meal was good, but nothing wowed me. And the food chilled off rather quickly. That didn't matter because the waitress took my plate before I was all thru. Claudy and I ordered each of the desserts. Both were very sweet. The place wasn't packed during lunch, but I did feel rushed. Saturday!! Oh no RBW is over. The fabulous finale is always the Chef Showdown. This year 6 chefs who participated in RBW sliced, diced and sautéed against each other for bragging rights of the best in Reno. They an hour to create a vegetarian plate using butternut squash, couscous, turmeric and pomegranate. Mmm the aromas that filled the air. The best part is you get to walk around all the kitchens and see how they cook and ask questions. Brett Moseley won best use of ingredients and Joe Bell won best plating and overall WINNER. Congrats to everyone!!! Now after two weeks of having so many fabulous food specials with lots of friends- I'm off to the gym. See you next year. Or in any locally owned restaurant. Of course, I would have loved to try them all out, but there's only so much we could visit with work and what not. I love food and I love to eat. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert, I love them all. Not to mention there are countless restaurants and new ones keep popping up. With Reno Bites Restaurant Week, there are those selected and highlighted restaurants advertising their specials for those two weeks, making it very appealing to want to try them out. I, personally, was able to dine at many restaurants that I always wanted to try out, but never got the chance to. It was not just the food, but the experience as a whole. For those selected restaurants, it was great exposure and they were able to showcase a little taste of what they were about. And for us, it was fun and delicious experience. Unfortunately, we missed the Chef Showdown because we were out of town for the weekend. But, there's always next year and many years to come. Overall, this being my first ever Reno Bites, I have to say I loved every minute of it. Prices were very affordable and the foods were all so tasty. Make sure you stir before drinking it, otherwise it might be too sweet. Zero sugar, so it was naturally sweet. Vitamins and NO crash energy. Well, I also had a cup of coffee today, so let's see how this will work for me?!?! Atmosphere - Small local business. In the same shopping mall as Walmart, which I am a regular customer at... Several tables. Plenty of mall parking. Service - AJ was so nice and welcoming. He gave me a discount on my drink and the last two samples; thank you. He shared about the business and his future grand plans. Congrats on all your success and wishing you the best. I see that you have so many regulars here. Even when I came today, there were a few regulars in the lobby hanging out with the owners. Price - $8. Owner Comment - What, you have been here since 11/2023?!?! And I am now finally able to make it. Congrats on all your success and wishing you even more success.

Sunday Funday Mother's Day facials at home with Yelpers via Zoom - I AM IN!! What a better way to…read morespend a Sunday Funday then with my family at home eating Mother's Day Brunch, sipping on Aperol Spritzers, while listening to CM Michael T and Vania of Prude & Boujee share with us all the wonderful things they are doing with self-care through her fantabulous shop. From sheet masks to gift sets plus the special items that we were able to purchase for this FUN event the Give Back Self Care Kit that donated one to a healthcare worker - SO ahhmazing!! We had FUN with one another via Zoom by introducing our special guests that joined us that day - LOVED seeing Yelpers that we are unable to see in person - all the smiling faces brought a little sunshine our way. We had a BLAST as Vania and her Mother directed us on how to put our sheetmasks on since we had a bit of a challenge with the Bro Masks for the guys in our fambam. We learned that if the men have facial hair that they put it on their neck instead (see pictures). Everyone danced around as we enjoyed the self-care portion of the Yelp FUN event. Papa and Granddaughter showed off her Prude & Boujee Ducky that we also learned that $5 of each one that you purchase goes towards a local college scholarship recipient - WOOT WOOT!! Anddd plenty of pictures were captured of the self-care shenanigans. Prude and Boujee website has fab products that can be sent to your doorstep - can't wait for my next one to arrive as delivery service is currently happening along with curbside too, so be sure to check that out. I LOVED, loved receiving my package in the mail, it smelled absolutely ahhhmazing!! Thank you to Vania, Prude & Boujee, CM Michael T, Yelp, the Yelpers that joined via Zoom, again LOVED seeing everyone - you brightened our day! Sunday Funday Mother's Day was an absolute BLAST!! Our skin felt refreshed, we had FUN, even the guys enjoyed it and the grandbaby loved seeing everyone too!! Be well, healthy and safe everyone!!

I most enjoyed hearing about the business and the face mask dance party that ensued! My toddler and dad even joined in for the dance. Even though we could not be together in person, Michael did a great job of connecting everyone into a virtual celebration of moms. My heart and my skin were glowing all day!
